Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7

Gameweek 7 gets going with a lunch time affair. The slowly improving Hammers take on the slowly deteriorating Man United. That fixture is followed by six 3pm matches. Arsenal take on Watford, Everton tangle with Fulham, Huddersfield hands over 3 points to Spurs, City put 5 past Brighton, Toon welcome in Leicester and Wolves look to impress again vs Saints. All them fixtures are just the appetisers though, for the match of the day. The late game sees Chelsea welcome in top of the league Liverpool in what we all hope will be a back and fourth battle. Should be interesting all that attacking talent going up against each other. Salah vs Hazard, also Mane vs Hazard and if that wasn’t enough, Firmino vs Hazard.

All the fun didn’t end on Saturday. Well, actually, it did!! Cardiff vs Burnley?! Really? One game on Sunday and this is what we got?

Monday sees an end to the gameweek when Bournemouth tackle the hell out of Zaha. Lerma to get a yellow via love tap to the shin on Wilfried? No doubt!

I think I’m going to take a -4 for 3 moves thus week

    Aguero -> Kane
    Mane -> Haz
    Dilva -> Maddison

For now will just bring in Haz, with the other ft and hit later the week

Trying to catch the more important price rises

I am still going to debate Salah vs Mane but I think hazard is important just to keep pace

I’m leaning towards Salah. His fixtures look really good in a few weeks. Kane for a week or two punt captain looks good. Maddison I think is nailed and looks like he’s channelling his Mahrez of old

Despite having Salah hazard and Kane I’d still have 0.7ITB and that’s with robbo alonso and an injured Mendy who I don’t plan to move out

I’ll do something with Kane in a few weeks…Likely bring in Arnie and Mitrovic or something and see if can find a way to fit in another strong midfielder for my favoured 3-5-2 formation

Other than the obvious of suddenly not owning Kun I think I like that roccer. But given their ridiculous fixture schedule after the IB this ‘60 minute cameo’ may become the norm. Kane doesn’t seem exposed to such constraints.

    Mr Go says:

Any advice? Main rival has Hazard, Kane, Augero and Mane.
    Patrocio Foster
    Trippier Alonso Diop Stephens Wan
    Salah DSilva Fraser Maddison Cairney
    Augero Zaha Mitro

      • inittowinit says:

        Transfer and bank situation?

      • Chipster says:

Without the numbers that Init has asked for, it’s difficult to give specific advice.

In a general sense, I wouldn’t be too concerned about trying to replicate your rival’s team. That’s not gonna give you any opportunity to catch up with him. You need some hot differentials that he hasn’t got. You already have Patricio, Tripps, Fraser, Maddison and Mitro who are all on-form. Personally, I would be looking at getting Sterling and Arnautovic in for Salah and Zaha.

        • Mr Go says:

Cheers, I like the Sterling idea, but maybe after the Liverpool game.

        • Kralin says:

The problem with removing Salah lies in his fixtures for weeks 9 – 12.

In that period Liverpool encounter the (so far) league’s worst defences. And Liverpool create a lot of chances.

Maybe the decision to stay or go (with Salah) will define many managers’ seasons. But probably too early to say that with any certainty.

        • Mr Go says:

I’m happy to keep Salah (for now)and rather swap DSilva for Sterling, but cant afford a sraight swap.

    constantine says:

Salah to Kane paying off well. Richarlison transfer a bit let down, but hope that repays in long term. Really wish for another WanB complimentary 9 pointer.

Good move! I did Salah to sterling! Lol more of a punt! Now for sterling to punish Liverpool next week! Lol

    • 111.2
      Kralin says:

I always try to give people a run in the team. I’m in slight denial about Richarlison. I had him, then swapped him for Walcott, who I swore would stay for three games in order to strut his stuff. Of course I bottled that completely , dropping him almost immediately, and then brought back Richarlison as soon as I could, hoping nobody would notice…

Should I wildcard with this squad?
First pic is present team, second is wildcard

    Neilos says:

Anyone made an early moves? Thinking Kun to Kane. I have enough before Kane rises and Kun possibly drops

    • 113.1
      banjomaker says:

Morning Neilos. Like everyone else, I’m now wanting Kane. Just doesn’t feel right to ditch my best City asset. I’m actually considering downgrading Salah to raise funds.

    • 113.2
      Kralin says:

No. I wouldn’t make an early move in a normal week, let alone a Euro week. While Kane may remain unscathed, others in your team may limp off in tears.

Having said that it is of course a matter of personal preference / willingness to take risks. If you’re ok about the thought of a possible -4 or -8 (wich hopefully won’t happen) then, why not?

    • 113.3
      eresh12 says:

hi neilos. just assessing for now. i can make the move too as long as there is one rise/drop but it will leave me with just walker from city. you have a good money ITB so you can afford to wait until at least tuesday.

      • Neilos says:

Hi Eresh I hear you buddy

        • eresh12 says:

in hindsight, i should have done mendy to trippier when i was on my wc last week. the community here was split on either mendy to walker or trippier. i ended up taking up walker. so far so good but trippier has been the attacking one so far.

among the top 6 of my mini league, only 1 doesnt have aguero (front three of vardy zaha and mitro) and he is topping the league so far with 1.6 ITB. its a big risk having aguero out but kane pay off.

  6. 114
    Mitro says:

    Morning

That late Sturridge goal hurt me big time yesterday, currently on 41 with zaha and wan B to go, how did everyone else get on?

Got 2 FTs for GW8, do you think salah and mitro/zaha to Maddison/Richarlison and Kane is a good move?

    • 114.1
      Shrivathsa says:

Salah scores at home, underlying stats are good. After City home, Pool schedule lightens up. May be worth holding on, Moura to Maddison and roll FT, maybe

    • 114.2
      banjomaker says:

Hey Mitro. I’m 65 all out. Wishing I’d stuck to my guns and played TAA over Wan-B. Hey ho. The Trippier move paid off, so can’t be too annoyed.

If you do Salah, Zaha & Moura to Mane & Kane what does it leave you?

I’m considering very similar moves. My concern with your proposal is you’d be left with zero Liverpool attack. In anything I’m doing I’m trying to make sure I retain a minimum of 1 City and 1 Pool attack.

    • 114.3
      Smash says:

Morning Mitro. I’m on 52 with Fraser and Wan Bissaka to go. No hit this week and my score seems a bit meh. I’m still not sold on Kane but yet to see highlights from yesterday. He has the Cardiff game and then quite a tricky run. He’s still only scoring headers and pens

    • 114.4
      constantine says:

Me too Mitro. Chelsea were so strong till the very end. Got 72 points. WanB still to come.

      • eresh12 says:

great score constantine. 500 club next week for u. keep it going as always

        • constantine says:

Cheers Eresh, That’s highly aspirational though. Would be good if I could maintain top 50k rank untill the next WC period.

        • eresh12 says:

thats great to hear constantine. any advice you can give for my squad ? (click my name and will link u to my GW team)

        • constantine says:

Eresh. I see you’ve just played your WC. Hence, yor team looks set for the future games. Obviously some of the high-priced players didn’t score this week, but, you have a very good squad. You can roll over the FT honestly.

        • eresh12 says:

cheers constantine. i was contemplating kun to kane but i dont really want to lose him yet (i am aware from most that he seems to have this foot injury thus the limited minutes).

I think some of my ML will bring him in. a few have sterling and vardy which are great differentials.

    • 114.5
      Mitro says:

Finally got around to seeing the spurs highlights, they didn’t play well but Kane against Cardiff is so tempting! Think salah will be departing in the coming days!

Who would you go for out of Maddison and Richarlison?
