Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7

Gameweek 7 gets going with a lunch time affair. The slowly improving Hammers take on the slowly deteriorating Man United. That fixture is followed by six 3pm matches. Arsenal take on Watford, Everton tangle with Fulham, Huddersfield hands over 3 points to Spurs, City put 5 past Brighton, Toon welcome in Leicester and Wolves look to impress again vs Saints. All them fixtures are just the appetisers though, for the match of the day. The late game sees Chelsea welcome in top of the league Liverpool in what we all hope will be a back and fourth battle. Should be interesting all that attacking talent going up against each other. Salah vs Hazard, also Mane vs Hazard and if that wasn’t enough, Firmino vs Hazard.

All the fun didn’t end on Saturday. Well, actually, it did!! Cardiff vs Burnley?! Really? One game on Sunday and this is what we got?

Monday sees an end to the gameweek when Bournemouth tackle the hell out of Zaha. Lerma to get a yellow via love tap to the shin on Wilfried? No doubt!

  1. Nearly took Salah out last GW (sort of wish I did) but will be keeping him at least until after Cardiff at home.

    1ft, 0.8itb.

Ralls out (FINALLY!!!), Knockoert in? Robertson to he bench.

    • Knockaert certainly has good fixtures. He’s not taking in the points but he’d be a nice differential

      • He’s certainly gone under the radar but 27 from 7 isn’t bad considering they’ve played City & Pool away, and Man Utd/Spurs at home.

  2. Who the hell owns Cardiff it Burnley players?! After the game yesterday I dropped from 12k to 18k. I honestly didn’t think anyone would get points from that game

    • Quite a few people will have played one of the keepers.

      • As they scored 1 and 3 points I guess I didn’t expect it to make such a difference to my rank that’s all

    • That’s very strange indeed. If you look at the % almost no one has any assets from these teams Hart (9%), Tarks (9%) and Etheridge (7%) the exceptions. Slums differences up top but yeah 3 pointers shouldn’t make such a dip. Is that effective rank or projected? If the later, it may be a case of projected autosub with Peltier (2%) probably in a few top rank teams.

      • Then again, 10k players have bought Gudmunsson ahead of gw6. I don’t know how many are in the top 50k or so but one would think these are serious managers so there’s your explanation. He’s owned by a total of 56k.

  3. I’d like to do just the one transfer this week; selling Danny ward my 5th mid. Shame he got dropped when they finally had a reasonable fixture.

What mid should i get for up to 4.7mil?

    • Shane Duffy

      • Misread your post. If it’s a mid then there really isn’t a lot around that price range. If you won’t play them then just pick a cheap one and save the cash

    • I wouldn’t waste a transfer on a 5th mid as they’ll never play. You’ll certainly find it difficult to pick out their 1 in 10 point scoring games.

Since you asked though I’d say Hojsberg is best, Westwood 2nd best.

  4. Afternoon all, just thinking about next gw. Have 2fts, kun/Salah to Kane/Mane sound ok ? Could do Pedro to Bilva aswell for a -4pt hit.

  5. Hey guys, how’s everyone doing?
I was just wondering about Cairney at Fulham, if he would be a regular starter now that he’s back from injury.
Also what’s the better option, for 4.8m him or Obiang or perhaps somebody else?

    • He should be when fully fit but still looked a little iffy to me on Saturday. And if he’s a 5th mid I’d just go with Hojberg and save the cash.

    • Just get Obiang, Stephens if he’s fit or Hojbjerg. You never know when you might need the extra cash

  6. Worth a 4ph? Aguero to Kane and Dilva to Maddison? Or only Dilva to Maddison?

    • Wait on Kun fitness. If he’s rested, can think of a better option

    • Kane has a set of five tough fixtures after the next two, best time to bring him in would be around GW15, all the way to New Year’s he has easy fixtures. Unless you are planning this as a two game punt for Kane and then switch to Aguero for GW11-15.

On the second Dilva to Maddison makes all kinds of sense.

    • Thank constantine and Shrivathsa!
