Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8. It’s an early start this GW with a Friday kick-off and as ever with these things we hope you don’t join us for Live Match Chat with that sinking feeling of ‘why on earth have they posted Live Match Chat on a Friday night…’. And if you do (looking at you Raz!), don’t say we didn’t try to remind you as it was posted on each and every article this week at some point. Whether you made it in tact or not let’s crack on with the games.

Brighton have the early pleasure of a very much in-form West Ham coming to town on Friday evening. Saturday then sees us with five 3pm games beginning with a resurgent Burnley hoping to build on momentum at home to a struggling Huddersfield. Palace host Wolves in what should be an entertaining and close encounter, as should Leicester vs Everton. Spurs host Cardiff in what should by rights be a shellacking, or at least any Kane captainers will hope to be the case. Watford vs Bournemouth looks another one that is hard to call. Saturday evening may be the straw that finally breaks Jose’s back, and oh the irony if it is indeed Rafa who gets to waft it. Some stories you just can’t write… #here’s hoping

Sunday sees three games beginning with Mitro testing out Arsenal’s defensive resolve, followed by Saints trying and (probably) failing to blunt Hazard and co. Then it’s the game of the week at 4:30pm as Pep tries to exorcise his one real demon in English football thus far: Klopp.

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

    • Lossl & Bennet could be Hart/Rui/Fab & Peltier.

    • I like it. Ryan is due to drop so you might get him instead of Lossi

    • Hey Pancho. I’d try to fit Salah in a WC team. Just look at their fixtures. He can go berserk in a game and then all shall be behind him. I hope he drops tonight and Kane rises. So I could gain 0.2m in that transfer.

        • I hope he does Smash. Long time awaited. He has been seriously unlucky sometimes though. His figures and stats don’t compliment exactly.

      • And BTW Mane is dropping tonight most probably. So, you can get him back tomorrow (after removing tonight) to save 0.1m, if on a WC now.

        • no joke. got blinded by the whites. check my team in the link lol. im such a sadoo, i emailed fpl support saying they have a glitch and to fix it lol.. nothing will happen but a man can always try.

      • TCing Kane against Cardiff is still a better option than doing the same in a DGW. Have burnt my hands last season with a measly 3 points return which ruined my season

        • I was in this club as well Constantine. We all got mislead by the twitter pictures of him looking healthy by the Christmas tree. What a shock that was.

        • Yes, pretty terrible feeling it was. I am not good with TCs anyway. Had Negredo as TC in the season before. Atleast he got me 4 then. Haha..

        • It’s hard to pick the best time for using the TC chip. Many are convinced that is during a DGW, still risky but the chances on paper are higher. Those who are using it in weeks like this are mostly the “extras.” Last week I wrote the number of total players:5,666,478 and now they are 5,715,889. Over 49K new ones. This game is becoming a big £$ business 😉

        • I’m remember that only too well. He was coming off a hat trick in his previous game too. Dead cert. Not

        • yeah.. its a wtf moment. i have kane in and would be happy if he can outscore hazard and aguero this week.

        • I brought Kane and Hazard with my 2 FT for Salah and Auba. Expect the latter two to go mad with goals.

    • 20.5 % have captained Aguero. By accident I am in that club 😆

    • 20% have taken a hit in the top 10k!

  4. Alonso to Robertson this week. Robbie still sinking in price. Wonder why?

    • I might be wildcarding and I’ll move Robertson out for TAA mainly due to cash. It’s probably a cash thing

        • Yeah don’t think it’s anything against Robertson. Still undecided whether I should use it or not

        • Just activated mine. First thing I did was move Fab to a 4m goalie. I was hoping there’d be a 3.9 goalie out there, but not to be.

          Sell, people, sell…

          Got a feeling my last wc move will be to buy him back (hopefully at 4.4).

    • Robertson definitely has the better threat but the money can make a difference elsewhere. I have TAA and he was unlucky to get booked in the first 3 games which no doubt cost BPS on top too. He may be in line for a ban soon if he keeps that up

    • It’s the same thing Gavy / Horse said below – people are making their usual Friday night transfers ahead of the….. deadline.

      • They are going to have Salah for City but not for Cardiff/Hudds… Great moves smile
