Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8. It’s an early start this GW with a Friday kick-off and as ever with these things we hope you don’t join us for Live Match Chat with that sinking feeling of ‘why on earth have they posted Live Match Chat on a Friday night…’. And if you do (looking at you Raz!), don’t say we didn’t try to remind you as it was posted on each and every article this week at some point. Whether you made it in tact or not let’s crack on with the games.

Brighton have the early pleasure of a very much in-form West Ham coming to town on Friday evening. Saturday then sees us with five 3pm games beginning with a resurgent Burnley hoping to build on momentum at home to a struggling Huddersfield. Palace host Wolves in what should be an entertaining and close encounter, as should Leicester vs Everton. Spurs host Cardiff in what should by rights be a shellacking, or at least any Kane captainers will hope to be the case. Watford vs Bournemouth looks another one that is hard to call. Saturday evening may be the straw that finally breaks Jose’s back, and oh the irony if it is indeed Rafa who gets to waft it. Some stories you just can’t write… #here’s hoping

Sunday sees three games beginning with Mitro testing out Arsenal’s defensive resolve, followed by Saints trying and (probably) failing to blunt Hazard and co. Then it’s the game of the week at 4:30pm as Pep tries to exorcise his one real demon in English football thus far: Klopp.

I can’t say I would or ever will study the teams in that particular ML Aarrron so I’ll take your word for it! Hardly surprising so is it?

      • Aarron13 says:

It’s a short term for me though, Liverpool attackers next got to decent game’s after City haven’t they?, Took your time getting Hazard though lol

        • inittowinit says:

I’m quite happy to sit and pick through your team and your mistakes if you like. Don’t imagine it’d be overly enjoyable for either party though.

        • db says:

Init, with your rank over the last 10 years I would charge a fee for that service if I was you!

        • Aarron13 says:

We do have 7 player’s the same like?

        • inittowinit says:

Well dB, someone with nowhere near that sort of average tried that last year on twitter and we all know how that went down! My point wasn’t that though, it was more to encourage some introspection on Aarron’s part rather than misplaced schadenfreude at my expense.

Personally I’d rather be wondering why I’m 32 points behind a middle aged woman who doesn’t really follow football rather than taking pot shots at the bloke in 1st place :hippo:

        • Aarron13 says:

You should win like since you’ve been playing it for years?, might aswell give the winnings now I reckon?

        • db says:

schadenfreude – what a word absolutely love that. Only came a cross it a few years ago and completely forgot about it – I know Im uneducated but who cares – if anyone ever mentions my lack of education that wrds coming out of the bag!

        • Aarron13 says:

          32 points behind a woman?

        • inittowinit says:

          Aarron I’m not saying I’ll
lead that league all the way, that rarely happens, but if I don’t win it come the end then it’ll probably be because I literally died along the way and subsequently forgot to do my team for a few weeks smile

        • Aarron13 says:

I was bottom after game week 2, not done to bad since then?, I think you should forget to change your team for a few weeks? Lol

    Red Robbo says:

Thanks for the articles all week guys. Thankfully I talked myself out of anything silly this week and just swapped King to Murray, so a very big green arrow for tonight at least feels nice laugh

I need to set my team for GW9 then will be offline until after GW12, so I need to be happy with my team and bench for the next 4 GW’s. I think it’s worth a -8 to swap Pedro/Bilva/Shaw > Hazard/Josh Murphy/Bennett. I do have a WC in hand but don’t really see the urgency to use it. Sound sensible?

It would be a 3-4-3 with Murphy, Obi-Wan & Bennett benched.

About to step out into the mellow autumn morning. Best of luck to all today.

Try not to get too traumatised if Kane doesn’t score today.

Had a go at linking my team, can you please see if I had done it correctly?

Think it looks ok after a transfer or two…

      • ohyesali says:

        Problem is, 1ft 0itb.

Obviously want want Haz, but how?

Really not sure what move to make.

        • AllanBrallan says:

I say salah out. Watch a lfc game and see. He gets alot of chances, but he has lost the magic he had last season, and he really need that magic to be worth 13,0£.

If he finds the magic, deal with it then. Right now he is just stealing funds….

      Rosco says:

The best way to see if you need it is to make the changes and if you change 6+ players and you can see those players making a difference in the 6 weeks it would take to make them using FTs then just hit the WC!

    • 24.3
      Rosco says:

It’s hard for us to judge, for example if it were my team I’d probably only want 3/15 that you have but you may want more of them for whatever reason. Post up the team you would WC too and let’s see how they compare! How are you performing thus far? I tried to check but your link doesn’t work!
