A couple or three special thanks before we begin GW38 are due to Floydeth, Matt X and Rosco for all of their hard work and dedication over 38 long weeks this season. We have had to necessarily reduce our output this season but without them we wouldn’t be here at all so many thanks and gratitude to them.
And thank you to everyone out there for your comments and contributions along the journey.
There will most likely be a World Cup fantasy tournament so as and when that is launched we shall provide details on here probably along with a ‘Champions League’ style article with the rules and the league details etc.
As for GW38 there is no Championship game to contest anymore but there is certainly a fair bit more yet to be decided. And we wouldn’t particularly want the be in either of Wes Ham or Spurs’ shoes right now but one has to go so… ‘let’s go see what will be decided……’

World Cup Fifa Fantasy is Live. The rules look same as 4 years back. Some new boosters are added.

Yes. But there are a staggering 24 games per round in group stage.
Quite tough to get the right 11 but will need to use the full 15 with manual subs. Spain and Germany seem to have easiest games in 1st round.

First I thought of looking broadly, across 12 groups but soon realised thats a lot of effort. So, yes, will go with the bigger teams to fill may be 12 out of 15 and leave 3 spots for some punts.

I’m on the fence this year. I’m travelling for the first 2 weeks of the group stage and don’t know how much internet access I’ll have to monitor a team. I may just enjoy this one from “the beautiful game” aspect rather than try to maintain a team. We’ll see.
