Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Silly Gameweek 26. Only in England could we have a ‘Winter Break’ in which all teams still play and yet is punctuated (somewhat) with FA Cup replays for four of them. We say good on Klopp for showing them the finger and highlighting the absurdity of it all. Politics aside, GW26 will be held over two weekends, beginning today on the 8th Feb and concluding a week on Monday, the 17th.
There’s an unequal split too, with four games this weekend and six on the next. It makes for an uncertain and very long GW but it is what it is. To make it even more odd we don’t have a single 3pm Saturday game on either weekend. Why? TV, that’s why. They’ve seen the opportunity and taken it; every single game is now scheduled in a TV slot.
We shall stop ranting though and let you crack on with enjoying the longest of long GW’s…

Wolves have some great fixtures coming up and was thinking of bringing in Traore and or Jimenez. However thier tasty home fixture against Nor in Gw27 is sandwiched by Europa games. Not sure if it’s better to avoid them for now?
I’m on my wildcard and looking at triple wolves
He’s been picking strong teams regardless and that’ll only get more so now they are deeper in, I reckon you’ll be ok in that respect with them.
I’m in full agreement with MrMajeika. Whilst not on my wildcard, I currently own a couple of Wolves’ players; adding a third is currently my top priority. I am pondering Doherty – if not him then definitely another of their defenders – next GW.
I’d completely forgotten they were still in Europe.
I plan on getting Boly this week, and I plan on having triple Wolves by the time we get to GW31.
Boly is my plan b if I decide Doherty isn’t worth the extra dosh.
It would be nice not to have to play the free hit in 31.
Would love Doherty but just don’t have the cash.
After the Boly move I’ll do everything I can to carry over the GW28 FT so I can maximise GW31 without using the FH.
And another storm on the way (I had no idea this was due to happen). Maybe there will be be another twist, like the Liverpool game being postponed until next Thursday.

FPL can drop off GW26 from scoring totally.

The whistling noise I hear is just a sound effect, edited in much later.
I always found those Rathbone Holmes films slightly campy. For some reason I’ve never quite connected with Holmes – literary or on screen, though there’s an OK late Billy Wilder film about Holmes that you’ve probably seen. The Rathbone ones got slightly weird as well, moving effortlessly between historical periods – I’m sure there’s one where he tackles the Nazi menace (in late Victorian London).
Anachronismes abound! Yes I think I actually have one of those film in my (obscure) DVD collection. Yes they’re so obviously indoors-ie but I love the voices. For that reason I can’t take film versions of Larry Olivier’s famous Shakespearien performances quite seriously! What a twat I am – never left the awkward & mocking ‘teenage boy’ persona behind!
Ever read Flicker by Theodore Roszak, AJW? I don’t know too many novels about cinema but it’s worth a look.

It felt like it, blimey. The morning after had a slight post-apocalyptic feeling to it. Trees everywhere and even the BBC was struggling to broadcast. I think Jacqueline du Pré died that night.

I was more foolishly anticipating a TGW, but not to be.
MC v WHU had to happen at some stage though and best in some way that it ends the GW. Drama through to the last bit of gristle chewed off the GW bone.
Have captained Sergio, so my mood may change on him playing if Salah (VC of course!) scores big-time! Ah tis all a laugh!

I played Lundy, so he stays with his points.
I never mind that much when my bench players – as Lundy seems destined to be, after all – get a half-decent score. I appreciate a 12 pointer from third on the bench can be a tad galling, for all that.
However you should congratulate yourself that even your bench is doing well, so skillful are you at putting a XV together.
Very happy that City-Westham is on now. Had 2 hammers on bench. Earlier I was dreading as had no one to come up from the bench for KDB and Kun. Hope captain Aguero starts and blasts.
