Arsenal

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • Unai Emery has been sacked.
  • Freddie Ljunberg takes interim charge of the side against Norwich.
  • Luiz, Mustafi, Bellerin will all have late fitness tests.
  • Ceballos remains out, but Kolasinac is now available for selection.
  • Arteta, Rodgers and others have been linked with the job. May I suggest Arsenal look to hire back Wenger. I miss him and his zipper jacket fights

Aston Villa

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • Smith provided us with some updates. On Davis ” starts jogging on Monday, so that’s great news for us. He’s pain-free so hopefully he’ll be back in the next 2/3 weeks as well.”
  • On Jota “Jota has been training fairly regular for the last 2/3 weeks. He’ll probably need some match minutes now.”
  • Smith also talked about Engels “He just felt he hasn’t right to give us 90 mins if required vs Newcastle. So I didn’t put him on the bench. He trained all week and should be available for selection.”
  • Steer remains out.
  • Dean Smith signed a four year extension, that should see him be around when they go down again.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Last Updated: Thursday 28th 2019

  • Potter gave us some team news “We’ve got Solly March who has a bit of tightness in his groin so he’s doubtful at the moment for the weekend. Aaron Connolly is back in the squad and training now too. Bernardo got his first 45 minutes last night but Saturday will come a bit too soon.”
  • Jose Izquierdo remains out.
  • The gaffer talked about the occasion (playing at Anfield) “It’s a place with special tradition and history that we have to go and embrace.” Most fpl owners will be hoping you embrace 4-5 goals against and stay scoreless.
  • On Lewis Dunk being available this weekend “He’s been great for us and anyone would miss their skipper, so we’re delighted to be able to have him back for selection.”

Bournemouth

Last Updated: Friday 29th 2019

  • Josh King (hamstring) and David Brooks (ankle) are unavailable.
  • Simon Francis and Phillip Billing both miss out due to suspension.
  • Ryan Fraser should be available despite picking up a dead leg at Wolves. “Ryan Fraser got a knock on his leg, a dead leg really. We didn’t see him in training in the early part of the week, but hopefully he’ll be ok.”
  • Dominic Solanke was unable to come off the bench last weekend having tweaked his hamstring at half-time. However, he had a scan on Monday which was clear and should be available this weekend.

Burnley

Last Updated: Thursday 28th 2019

  • Westwood is suspended due to yellow card accumulation.
  • Drinkwater is fit again after finally recovering from an ankle injury while Vydra is also fit again after a hip problem.
  • Gudmundsson remains sidelined with a hamstring injury picked up on international duty. He is now back on the grass and stepping up his recovery but remains a couple of weeks away from full fitness.

Chelsea

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • Lampard on Tammy “We’ll know by the end of the weekend, he’s got some pain and won’t be involved tomorrow, but then we’ll know by Monday.”
  • A little rotation in the cards? Frank on the upcoming fixtures (five in two weeks) “That is why you need a big competitive squad for these games.”
  • On Bats starting this weekend “We’ll see. I’m not going to give my team away on a Friday!”
  • On Rudiger “He is getting closer, he has had a really good week’s work by the realisation and the reality is that he has not played for a very long time. It’s a mini pre-season now that the injury seems to be hopefully finished and over. Now we need to get him fit and he is working very, very hard to make sure of that. It is days and weeks, rather than months which is great news for us.”
  • RLC and Van Ginkel remain out, Hudson-Odoi could make the bench (but no word on him) and Ross the Boss was seen topless last night.

Crystal Palace

Last Updated: Thursday 28th 2019

  • Hodgson provided an injury update saying “Joel Ward is the only injury we have. He will be out for some weeks but other than that we have recovered well.” Kelly owners right now 😎
  • Palace have only accrued five points from a possible twenty-seven against teams who sit above them in the table and Burnley sits several spots ahead of them.
  • The injury to Ward is the only reported concern, the rest of the team should be available for selection.

Everton

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • Silva on his job “I don’t waste my time thinking about that situation [losing his job]. I don’t lose one minute thinking about this.” Keep dropping points and will see if your tune changes.
  • Silva insists he has not been given an “ultimatum”. “I remember we played against Wolves at home, fourth game of the season, and you are asking my players about pressure on manager if we didn’t win this game. It is not new for me.” Wait, is Marco saying he does think about it?
  • Silva on Arsenal sacking Emery “You are talking about a very good manager and his CV speaks for itself but I am not here to talk about that.” If Marco wasn’t truly thinking about losing his job after this presser it is probably all he will think about.
  • Ok, ok, ok…onto actual team news. Gbamin, Gomes, Coleman and Martina are ruled out. Schneiderlin and Theo will face late fitness tests, Delph “really difficult for him to be fit” and Bernard is “ready”.

Leicester City

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • Rodgers on Evans “He has trained, he had one day free because his wife, Helen, gave birth to a baby boy so he’s had an eventful few weeks!” Adding “he’s fit and ready for the weekend.”
  • Brendan on his name being linked to Arsenal “Whenever jobs come up, there’s always a number of names. We’re at the beginning of something here. I’ve loved every minute here. We feel we are beginning something exciting here. Arsenal is a great club, and I’m sure they have an idea of who they want to bring in.” Not exactly ruling himself out there is he.
  • Rodgers on a little partying “Footballers can still have fun.” Jamie Vardy you listening?!
  • No other news, Matthew James probably remains out…forever.

Liverpool

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • Klopp on Fabinho “It’s absolute bad news. I have nothing good to say about that. I’m not sure how long it’ll take but it’s looking like he won’t be involved in the Christmas fixtures. It was my main problem after the game but we have solutions and replacements for him. We can play without him. We are not the only team with injury players. We have to deal with it and we will.”
  • Jurgen on other injury news “The guys who were involved in midweek, all good. Naby is okay.”
  • Tavares and Clyne remain out. No idea on timeframe for Matip return according to Klopp.
  • Hendo, Lallana and Wijnaldum were all mentioned as possibilities for the Fabinho role.

Manchester City

Last Updated:

  • Pep “No more injuries, no Aguero this weekend.” adding “Long injuries are long, the others are fit.” LaPorte and Sane remain out and Zinchenko while getting closer is presumably also out.
  • Guardiola on the title race “I’m not thinking about winning the Premier League right now. First we have to get past Leicester, then Liverpool. I know we can’t lose at the moment.”
  • Pep on last season’s loss at Toon “It’s forgotten, we played slow, we forgot to attack at 1-0. We learnt from it, we spoke about it.”
  • Not much else from Pep, they tried to get him to speculate on Arteta being linked to Arsenal, but he didn’t bite.

Manchester United

Last Updated:

  • Scott McTominay could make a return sooner than expected with OGS commenting that, “We hope Scotty will be back as soon as possible, but he’s also been back home and I’ve not seen him…Maybe [he will be fit to face] Spurs but hopefully for Sunday.”
  • Paul Pogba won’t be available on Sunday but he has stepped up his recovery. “Paul is stepping up his recovery and let’s see how soon he’ll be match fit and available.”
  • Ole then cracked a joke when speaking about Pogba, “Of course, he’ll be like a new signing for us. He’s not really been able to play for us and, when we get him back, it’ll be like a new world-class signing and world-class midfielder.”
  • Axel Tuanzebe and Luke Shaw both played the full 90 minutes in Astana on Thursday night and will be in contention to start on Sunday.

Newcastle United

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • Bruce on injuries: “We’ve got a problem with DeAndre Yedlin. He’s hurt his hip. Apart from that everybody else is OK.” He must’ve forgotten about his captain, Jamaal Lascelles.
  • Long-term absentee Matt Ritchie has suffered a setback and has had further surgery on his ankle. Bruce is hopeful that he will return to training in January.
  • Sean Longstaff returns from suspension.
  • Apparently Bruce was delighted with his front three up until the Villa game. Steve, they’ve scored one goal between them all season.

Norwich City

Last Updated: Friday 29th 2019

  • Cantwell was unable to train from Monday to Wednesday this week, but joined back up from Thursday onwards. The City Head Coach said he will be available for Sunday.
  • Farke confirmed that Hanley and Klose are still working their way back from long-term injuries, while a late call will be made on the fitness of Jamal Lewis, who did return to training this week.
  • Tettey is unavailable to play against this weekend, with Farke confirming that the midfielder is not available “for private reasons”.
  • Drmic is out for another two months or so.

Sheffield United

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • John Egan has gone through concussion protocal and is available. However, if Wilder is to be believed it’s not guaranteed that he’ll return to the starting XI, “But he’s got to oust Jags who I thought was outstanding on Sunday.” Expect him to start!
  • Lys Mousset has recovered from the muscle injury which forced him off early against United.
  • Dean Henderson will return between the sticks having been ineligible to face United last Sunday.

Southampton

Last Updated: Thursday 28th 2019

  • “We have a few issues,” Hasenhüttl said. “One is Stuart Armstrong, in the last game at the end he cramped a little. He has a few problems with his hamstrings. He isn’t able to play at the weekend. Maybe two weeks he is out – after Newcastle we will look again.”
  • The gaffer also mentioned the fitness of other players saying “Sofiane Boufal hit his toe, and hasn’t been able to train for three days. It’s a bit swollen still. It will be a little bit difficult for the weekend.” Ralph also mentioned Vestergaard “Jannik was ill two days but today has been back in training. That’s the latest news.”
  • Saints have garnered 1 point from six home fixtures, luckily they play the only team who is behind them in the PL table…having said that, Watford is probably thinking that is a good thing they play Saints. Should be an instant classic.

Tottenham Hotspur

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • Spurs team news: Davies early stages of rehab, Lamela conditioning before return to training, Lloris and Vorm continuing rehab.
  • Jose on if he would have taken the job at Arsenal if had come open sooner “No point in telling you. I am so happy here I cannot think of the possibility of another club. If you put any other club in the world in front of me now I would say no.”
  • Mourinho on Lo Celso and Ndombele possibly having to earn his trust “Not my trust. It is not about my trust and I know them very, very well. It is not like I don’t know them, I know the qualities they have, I know why the club bought them, I know what the club saw in them. I think good buys. I think good decisions and of course they will play with me. I always think that people who come from abroad, from different leagues need more time to adapt to the Premier League, but great potential and I am more than happy to have them.”
  • Jose on the ball boy signing a contract extension “Anything or anyone that will get Harry Kane scoring is well worth the money” 😉

Watford

Last Updated: Thursday 28th 2019

  • Craig Dawson misses out this weekend having received some cuts to the head and has had stitches. QSF said it would be a risk to play him.
  • QSF has quite a long injury list to deal with as aside form Dawson, Christian Kabasele (hamstring) and Daryl Janmaat (knee) join long-term absentees Cleverley (heel), Danny Welbeck (hamstring) and Sebastian Prödl (knee) on the side-lines.
  • Roberto Pereya is also likely to be unavailable with QSF commenting that he doesn’t feel the Argentine is 100%.
  • Having made a return from the bench last weekend captain Troy Deeney has continued to build up his fitness this week.

West Ham United

Last Updated: Thursday 28th 2019

  • The boss wasn’t messing about with the Team News saying “Jack Wilshere continues with some problem. I hope that next week he will start working with the squad. Lukasz Fabianski continues with recovery from surgery. Manuel Lanzini just started working yesterday on the pitch but he needs at least one month more without any problems with his shoulder – he cannot have any contact so needs at least one month more. Winston Reid is playing 90 minutes with the U23s, so next week he will start working with us.”
  • Bravo sir, if just all managers were like you.
  • Pell added a bit more on Fab “The diagnosis of Fabianski is clear – after you have surgery, you need some amount of time to recover. We will see what the doctors say – the first date that was around was about Christmas, but we cannot give you an exact date.”
  • The gaffer talking about goals for and against “I want to see first a team that never gives up – I think it’s impossible to try to win a game when you concede three goals before 50 minutes. Against Tottenham and Newcastle we didn’t give up, we scored two goals in the second half.” Too bad they weren’t playing Man United in those games they could have scored a third late on for a draw.
  • Diop is suspended due to yellow card accumulation.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Last Updated: Friday 29th November

  • Wolves can be so fun to do pressers for.
  • Saiss is suspended due to yellow card accumulation. Boly is still out.
  • Gibbs-White and Bennett face late fitness tests.
  • Going onto to the Wolves site to find the latest team news, couldn’t find that, but they did have some fpl advice for this week. They said to target Jimenez, so there’s that. Guess he is fit.

Anyone have any advice on what to do this week? 1FT & 0.0itb.

Can’t afford Sterling to Son & Connolly to Raúl. So maybe Sterling to Dele instead?

Talking to a lad i know earlier and he’d spoken to Coleman and apparently the players at Everton are not worried Wether they win, lose or draw, they basically don’t give a toss about the club at all. Vardy for cappo then ?

Still debating whether to make a transfer and take a hit! Who do you prefer out of the following?

    Kane and one of Maddison/Martial/Pulisic
    Rashford and Son
    Abraham and Sterling (current team)

    Evening all,

Hope you’re good! This is my team, having used my two FTs. Am I good to go? It’s not worth making a four-point hit to do Abraham to Jimenez, is it?
