FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 9

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 9. Not exactly a classic week for us the last one! 8 of our players scored 4 points or less. Our top scorer was Sterling, who was actually our transfer in last time, so at least we had some modicum of satisfaction in a job well done in that respect. That he scored almost a third of our points was either simply genius or a bad reflection on the other two thirds! Almost certainly the latter. That we left good old Tom Carroll and his 8 points on the bench, and that he would have been our 3rd top scorer had we not, was simply either dumb or a bad reflection on the other 8 players! Almost certainly the latter.

Captain Kane bombed but obviously in a week when most players rued the same fate it didn’t really matter. We managed 47 points in total, which was 6 above the average and somehow got a small green arrow as we rose a whole 88 places to 267,070. Not exactly where we want or expect to be but we will plug on and try to improve.

Just a little mention for Alonso as well, who once again excelled himself with a 1 point return… He’s still living on the back of that Spurs 16 point game. With that included he averages 4 points a game. Take that outlier out and it drops to 2.4 points per game. Just saying 😉

Last weeks ‘result’, if you can call it that…

This weeks transfer(s)…
BOUGHT : Jesus and Silva
SOLD : Lacazette and Alli

We just couldn’t resist buying into the City triple attack. Or indeed bring ourselves to actually play our wildcard which we have been promising to do so for weeks now! In our defence we did plan to do it and it was the agreed move. And then we played around with a couple of line-ups and quickly realised that they weren’t actually much better than what we had already, albeit with a small hit to accommodate Jesus and Silva.

We will almost certainly play it next week… Look, who are we kidding here. We will almost certainly revisit the notion of doing so, that’s the only guarantee we can give.

As for the purchases themselves they need little explanation right now. The only concern is of course the usual Pep rotation but we are happy to take that chance and see what happens.

The team in full
And so this is how we line up ahead of GW9…

Our Captain is Raheem Sterling
Now that’s not a phrase we thought we would utter any time soon! He’s in red hot form though with 8 goals in all competitions so far. He was subbed early too in the Napoli game so he may be the surest of starters at the weekend. The way City are knocking teams aside it’s hard to argue against any of their players right now, it may just be a case of finding which one plays the most!

  1. ***NEW ARTICLE***

    Site Team is live.

  2. I guys, just need a quick hand on this one. My 1 FT isn’t going be as easy as I though. I was going to do Mkhit to silva easy.

But now with Jones and Davis in yellow is one of the. To a city defender a better call?

    • Hey Gavy, I’d just crack on with it in all honesty. Pretty sure both will play and worse case scenario you do at least have 2 playing subs there. Albeit not ideal ones for this week. You may have to use one and suffer a 1 pointer but if City go big again then you may not care too much about that!

    • Hey Gavy, I would just do Miki to Silva and leave the rest.

  3. Hey guys, how’s it going? Crazy scenes at the Everton match. Can’t believe that one supporter trying to throw a punch at the Lyon player while holding his little boy. What the hell is wrong with people??

    • I thought it looked init when I first saw it 😉

      • Ha! Thought it was really bad form, that. Would love to see him identified and something happen to him. Maybe it’s because I’ve got a boy about that age but it really rubbed me the wrong way. Wouldn’t consider walking him into a situation like that in a million years, what a crap father and a terrible example to set for your kid.

        • Only heard it on the radio Red and they didn’t mention that he was carrying a child! Really?! FFS! Doesn’t surprise me though, unfortunately. He will be identified and banned for life. Given that it’s an English club as well they will be slapped with a huge ‘failure to control your fans’ fine as well. And probably made to play behind closed doors for a game. All because of one drunken idiot. As opposed to / in stark contrast to being in Russia and for racist chanting to simply get a furrowed eyebrow.

        • Yeah, it was crazy Init. There are probably better clips of it but here’s one I quickly found just now.

        • Jeez. As you do! What a tool.

      • I have a bit more sense than that Mitro. I refuse to pay money to watch crap 😉

        • I was wondering how I ended up involved in all this, I was thinking about what I had to pay watch recently for you to make such an unfair comment.

Then I realized you meant Mitro. smile

        • Two can play at that game #touche 😉

  4. Anyone around? Early deadline and all I need to make a call! What to do here?
Sterling & Jesus/Morata in for Mkhi & Firmino???

    • PS- I’ve just breezed through the last 3 articles and I appreciate them all! As someone who churns our content for work every week I understand the grind and it is a huge task! You all are awesome!

    • Pancho, is it for 2 FTs? If yes then sterling/Morata looks good

      • Constantine, just one FT. If I only do one of the moves then which one?

        • Then I’ll leave Firmino for this week. He’s scored 2 and assisted one in CL this week, if I’m not wrong.looked much more involved. Although the opposition wasn’t Spurs. So, Mkhi to Sterling looks decent for this week

  5. Final team, am i good to go?
    Captain choice?

    • I’d play Mbemba in place of Gomez. I know there are very little chances of him getting a start but Gomez contradicts Kane and can very much give you a single point. Also, for captain, I’ll look towards Silva before Lukaku.. Better form and team

  6. Hey guys,Any help with this lot.Have 1 FT and 0.9m itb.Still have WC left

    • Rambo needs fixing, but no obvious straight swap there. I’d personally be looking at something like Lukaku & Rambo to Kun & Sterling. But I can understand a reluctance to lose Lukaku, especially this week.
