The World Cup officially begins on Thursday June 11th. With 48 teams, 3 host countries and spanning 4 different time zones with 13 different kick-off times this could be messy. But let’s give it a try………

The Rules – in short
It looks very much like Champions League rules, in a roundabout way. The main takeaways are essentially;
- $100m budget
- Squad of 15
- 3 separate matchdays for the group stages
- Separate matchdays for each round thereafter
- You can switch players in from your bench during each matchday
- Likewise you can switch your Captain to your hearts content
- Deadlines are kick-off times – good luck with that one!
- There are a myriad of ‘Boosters’ to use

Yeah, messi will probably score 2 or 3 but u need hattrick or 2 goals and assist to surpass mbappe.. I made mistake not keeping cucurella. Have Simon in goal.

95pts now I have switched the armaband to Messi.
I am thinking that Messi will want to beat Oleg Salenko’s record of five goals in one World Cup match, also beat the most goals scored by a single team in one match record which is ten goals when Hungary beat El Salvador in a historic 10-1 victory.

I think u r underestimating a team who got 0-0 vs European champions spain. They know how to defend and their gk is great. Yes they are heavy underdogs but outside of Messi, Argentina is just a decent but not WC winning team. I still think Argentina win easily but not by the margins you are thinking. Plus if argentina lead 3 or 4-0, messi will be subbed. He is not 25 anymore.

Just get away with Var. It works for all other sports but it doesn’t for football.. u can play slow motion in cricket (lbw, caught behind), tennis (in or out) or nba (who got last touch) but playing everything down in extreme slow motion makes no sense in football. Now 3 teams eliminated bcoz of terrible var.. germany, senegal, croatia.. in all 3 cases there was never a foul, but extreme slow motion and inch by inch, it looks like a foul.. in real time it isn’t..
Just scrap this crap var from football.. if anything, let every team get 1 successful challenge (like in other sports) or 2 at most (maybe if extra time) and then let var come in. Even the offside calls seem very dodgy.. neither ronaldo nor sukic looked offside.. the concept of var was to eliminate clear and obvious errors . But that’s not the case in reality

So far, have 3 eliminated players and 3 ARG to go. I hope we wont get a shock tonight as it will be a very bad situation with only 4 FT for the next round. Then again, a hit is only -3 if it comes to that.

Yikes…that is a thought! Don’t have anyone eliminated yet and would hate it to be Messi who is my all time favorite player. But anything can happen.
