The Rules – in short
It looks very much like Champions League rules, in a roundabout way. The main takeaways are essentially;
- $100m budget
- Squad of 15
- 3 separate matchdays for the group stages
- Separate matchdays for each round thereafter
- You can switch players in from your bench during each matchday
- Likewise you can switch your Captain to your hearts content
- Deadlines are kick-off times – good luck with that one!
- There are a myriad of ‘Boosters’ to use

I have Simon, Cucu, Baena and Yamal for tonight and hope Spain go through otherwise it will be a car crash
For tomorrow, Messi, Medina and Martinez. Think will chance it and try Baena first, followed by Messi for the armband. What the heck, it will be over it a couple of weeks

I decided to stay with Kane (C). Portugal have a good defence and can’t see many goals.
Not sure if I am gonna resist the temptation to switch to Messi tomorrow though.

Phew, that was a squeaky bum time. At one stage was thinking that I lost 4 players in one go.

I have switched to Messi as captain, he needs to keep scoring to get the golden boot as he doesn’t have one for the WC only the U20 WC.
I think they underestimated Cape Verde (as did I) but Egypt is much tougher and Argentina have to step up their game now.
