Who are you? Who are you? Fantasy manager profiles Part 13
Here at FF247 towers we’ve often wondered what driving forces hide behind a comment or a rate my team reply, do we really know the mindset and the persona of the people we are conversing with?! To find the answers to these questions we have lured some regulars from out of their caves and got them to endure a simple Q&A session.
Hopefully this will help us to uncover whether each member can be viewed as a ‘fellow sports enthusiast’, ‘colleague’, ‘fantasy friend’, ‘internet troll’ or indeed ‘sociopath’! Let’s take a look inside the minds of our latest two ‘victims’ then and see whether, hiding behind the cute monkey gravatars, lurks a sadistic, megalomaniacal, psychotic keyboard warrior. Or just a normal guy or gal who likes to play fantasy football…
We will add a disclaimer here – we have resolved to not edit what is sent in at all. What you see is what you (we) get. FPL ranks were correct at the time of sending as well so may be much worse by now! Or better…
Next up to the examination table are Chopper2540 and Kop Warrior.

FAVOURITES
Food: Tapas
Drink: IPAs or a good red wine, preferably a Malbec or Rioja
Band/Type of music: Anything with a modern folky vibe to it, two of my particular favourites would be Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver. Many thanks to both Chopper and Kop Warrior for being so candid! We hope you know your two fellow ‘fantasy friends’ a little better now.
If you feel that you would like to expose your inner self then please feel free to mail us at contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk and we shall have peakydave interrogate you! If you have already submitted one, which many have, we are publishing them in the order received and hopefully yours will be along soon.
@SpursOfficial: #THFC team: Vorm, Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Davies; Townsend, Mason, Stambouli, Eriksen; Adebayor (c), Kane
@SpursOfficial: #THFC subs: Friedel, Kaboul, Rose, Dembele, Lennon, Paulinho, Soldado
Cheer TJ 😉
Guys out of these four who would you rather have next gw??
1) Di Maria (H lei)
2) Elia (H sou)
3) A.Johnson (H bur)
4) Sterling (H whu)
5) Cazorla (H avl)
…btw out of curiosity which combo is better for next week?
Giroud & di maria or falcao & cazorla
FDMS, that’s five not four! Out of the five, I’d have Cazorla I think.
As for the combo, Giroud and ADM is probably a better combo just on the basis of Falcao’s uncertain playing time. Though I accept that probably just confuses and contradicts my first answer!
Cookie I read the question before seeing your answer and came up with the exact same answer!
That must be very worrying for you and your season!!!
Hmmm aren’t people a bit too harsh on Di Maria? Just played 1 game and 30 minutes after an injury. He could come good versus Leicester.
Definitely Di Maria & Giroud.
Out of them, probably Di Maria. Not Elia or Sterling anyway.
Giroud and Di Maria, for me. Of the five, Di Maria/Johnson.
Kane’s trequartista role is worrying me a little. Think he will play up top again?
It’s obvious it ain’t working so I’m hoping Pochetino grows some freaking braincells soon.
Also, none of the strongest line-ups have either Soldado or Ade in it. Ade is a pinch-hitter at most. Soldado is just shite and should be sold.
Razz was it you this weekend that said he was playing Soldado to put him in the shop window? I definitely think that has something to do with the two of them (soldado & ade) playing this past week and a half when they don’t deserve to be on the pitch! It completely disrupted the momentum that spurs had over the past number of weeks!
Great articles people. Chopper you really look like Arnold? Are you that small? Are you 1 meter? Which is cool by the way. Small people are people to. I want to visit a country with only small people, dwarfs and elfs.
@ Kop
You aspire to be a manager yourself?
Raz, I struggle to manage a fantasy team so I think I’ll leave the real thing to the pros
Would you like to be Conor McGregor’s manager? 😉
No! I’d like to slap the prat around the place, although I accept that’s unlikely to happen 😉
Yeah, he’s a bit too much WWE for me. An actor. He can also fight though and people get excited when they see him. He does have a form of charisma. 😉
He’s no Floyd Mayweather! Both in skills, and in being a shitebag. It’s all a front to sell their fights, but still, it’s really annoying.
Would this be a decent wildcard team? Not activated yet and planning to wait another 10 days. I think my team will probably look something like this. Only real doubts are ”Kane” in his current role and ”JWP” as fourth midfielder.
Maybe I need to take more risks. >.<
Hey Raziel are you talking to yourself again this is a strong team ,let’s hope Kane keeps is spot up front do Boyd JWP rotate well I will have a look rest looks really good
Oi. I never talk to myself. That?I think that was a typo?
Anyway, you’re right. Team looks solid. JWP almost looks like a second striker at times, playing just behind Pelle, taking all the free kicks and corners plus playing for a very good side. Also, I think he can only get better. Wonder if his spot will be in danger once Mane returns.
Raz I don’t thk JWP place will be in danger I thk it will be Ella or Mane I need some good Cap picks the nk few GW need to start moving up
Mane, Elia and Tadic will be competing for the wide slots up top flanking Pelle. JWP is deeper and his minutes when fit are consistent. I think he plays now for as long as he’s fit and available.
By the way, in 2 GW’s Arsenal face Spurs? That’s usually a game with a lot of goals right? Is it smart to double up on Arsenal for that one?
You need to lose PvA in case Defoe starts exploding soon. Could be a good alternative to Kane in coming GWs, and he is on pens too, unlike Kane.
Why Kompany? He’s very injury prone and is a bit of a card magnet too.
hi all
hope everything is ok
any thoughts on my team. should i get downing this gameweek for chadli because i do have a double up on spurs.
thanks in advance
Hi Stewy, West Hams fixtures are awful for the next 6 weeks. Liverpool, Utd, Southampton, Spurs, Palace and Chelsea from memory. I may be wrong but I think that ship has sailed for a while.
Agreed. Buying Downing now is probably a bad move.
I’d get Krul for Heaton on your WC if you’ve not already used it.
Johnson in for Chadli.
