Who are you? Who are you? Fantasy manager profiles Part 13

Here at FF247 towers we’ve often wondered what driving forces hide behind a comment or a rate my team reply, do we really know the mindset and the persona of the people we are conversing with?! To find the answers to these questions we have lured some regulars from out of their caves and got them to endure a simple Q&A session.
Hopefully this will help us to uncover whether each member can be viewed as a ‘fellow sports enthusiast’, ‘colleague’, ‘fantasy friend’, ‘internet troll’ or indeed ‘sociopath’! Let’s take a look inside the minds of our latest two ‘victims’ then and see whether, hiding behind the cute monkey gravatars, lurks a sadistic, megalomaniacal, psychotic keyboard warrior. Or just a normal guy or gal who likes to play fantasy football…
We will add a disclaimer here – we have resolved to not edit what is sent in at all. What you see is what you (we) get. FPL ranks were correct at the time of sending as well so may be much worse by now! Or better…
Next up to the examination table are Chopper2540 and Kop Warrior.

Thoughts on this latest wildcard effort ?? Still tinkering, cant really make my mind up on 3rd striker.Kane had the form but seems to be playing in the hole while Giroud has deffo got the fixtures ? Puncheon could swap to Elia after 3 weeks if he looks the real deal.

      inittowinit says:

I like it Brooky. Given the big difference in price that 3rd ones a crucial shout. Giroud should score well with that lot around him. His stats have been good and he’s scored consistently when he’s played. Good fixtures ahead too.

      NIN says:

I think you’ll get similar returns from the likes of Kane/Defoe as you will from Giroud.

      EBC says:

JWP, Johnson & Baird in for Chadli, Puncheon, Wasilewski.

Use the money to upgrade Bellerin.

Cheers for the input guys.Sorry for the late reply. Not really struck by Sunderlands attacking potential despite the change of formation style of play and Spurs do have a few tricky fixtures plus Kanes new role if he keeps it is my thinking but will probably have a few more tinkers. In fact there is no probably involved !!! smile

A all day long, for me

      • EBC says:

        Agreed. Definitely A.

        • inittowinit says:

Excellent, thanks both. It evolves almost hourly this WC team laugh

        • NIN says:

Once it’s going in the right direction! It is. I really like team A. Buying Defoe is an idea that is beginning to grow on me, i must say.

        • inittowinit says:

Cookie that’s kind of the fundamental question, hence the ”
Dead simple A or B?” smile

        • inittowinit says:

If I went B I could still do Elia to JWP and get a 2nd keeper I guess. How come Chadli wasn’t in the squad last night, I’ve not heard anything?

        • inittowinit says:

Ah ok cheers, poor lad, very sad to hear.

        • NIN says:

          Morning lads.

Cookie – Could their lack of goals be attributed to their lack of a decent striker? Fletcher is pretty injury prone and very one dimensional. Wickham, nah, not a proper CF, for me. Graham, possibly the worst striker in Premiership history? Altidore? Their striker selection makes for some painful reading, eh? laugh I fancy Jermaine to fire them up the league, or at least out of the immediate danger zone.

        • NIN says:

Yeah, having both is certainly risky. Could be good to have them for the next 3 or 4 and see how they get on. He is a very good striker. You got a plan for this GW, or just waiting for the cup games to finish?

        • Albertini says:

On Sunderland… sure we might expect to see them score a few more with Defoe but they are 3rd bottom for big chances created over the season and 2nd bottom for goal attempts inside the box. Doubling up on their attack is way too much imo…

        • NIN says:

Haha! Hopefully not 😉 Shame about Pocognoli. Pulis must not fancy him at all. What do you think of Dwight Gayle for a few GW’s mate? Looks to be coming into some form and Pardew has started him in the last two. Possible short term gem at 5m maybe?

        • NIN says:

Good point! I’m not sure what will happen when those two are back in the fold. I guess Zaha would make way for Bolasie and maybe McArthur for Jedinak?

        • NIN says:

He did? Oh dear. That doesn’t bode well.

    Pancho says:

Feeling good about this team for the near future! Thoughts?

      gkw says:

Pancho, if you’re on your WC then use it to bring in Krul for Hamer so you have 2 goalies who rotate well through to the end of the season. Once you’ve played your WC you’ll have only one FT per GW and you won’t want to be wasting one of them on a goalie.
Also, you’re a bit too heavy in defence if you can’t find room for Bertrand and Terry next GW – they’re both at home to teams who didn’t score this GW. I’d downgrade Baines and upgrade Bojan and/or Boyd as well as fixing the goalie problem.

    • 23.2
      NIN says:

Pancho – Unnecessarily beefed defence here, i think. I would bin Baines and Monreal for budget defenders, get a 2nd GK like gkw already pointed out, and leave funds in the bank for Giroud -> Aguero next GW. Aguero = essential after this GW.

      • Pancho says:

I got Aguero right after he was back playing and he scored me three points in two game weeks. I plan on bringing him in once Yaya is back but was planning on holding off on him until then. I agree on the defense a little, but I figure I can have 3 solid options for the rest of the season. I’m kind of on the “Raz-wagon” with Pants in goal. He seems to score 3 as a minimum, which I can live with. A bit frustrating playing the CS guessing game :/

Wildcard or save till next week?!

    • 24.1
      inittowinit says:

Hacko you’ve certainly got enough in there to put a decent 11 out this week and you have a benching issue already between Austin, Silva and Downing as I see it. I’d probably leave it assuming they all come through the FA Cup ok.
