Fantasy Premier League 2015-16 Pre-Season Round up

Hello. Happy Summer everyone and welcome to your Pre-Season Article. The article is intended as a ‘work-in-progress’ and a workspace where we can keep each other up to date with all the latest line-up and substitution news for all twenty of this season’s Premier League teams ahead of our final selection of our fantasy squads.
We should also record the scoreline particulars including the all-important scorers, assisters and ‘nearly men’. Any salient information such as a defender on penalty kicks duties, a midfielder playing striker or Asmir Begovic playing some part in a Chelsea match to let him think he has a chance of playing this season, can be found here.
Of course, if you are lucky enough to witness any of the action, your opinion is valued too so let us know who impresses and doesn’t impress during these games.
Now you may have noticed the cunning use of “your”, “we”, and “each other” above. This is not a one-man band, because I’m useless musically and I’m not on at all hours (as much as I would like to be), so please do get involved – get the line-ups ‘up’ and the opinions flowing.

Any chance of a RMT?
Butland Ruddy
Azpi O’Shea Huth Francis Cedric
Hazard Mane Chadli Walcott Fletcher
Rooney Wilson Benteke
2.0m in the bank to fund Rooney to Aguero.
The main part of my team that I’m not sure about is Benteke. I don’t know if he’ll suit Liverpool’s style of play but I don’t see any better options at his price. Is there anyone you think is better?
Which do you prefer?
A. Berahino and Sterling
B. Benteke and Chadli
Leaning towards B as I think A leaves my front line quite light.
Feel free to leave any suggestions or thoughts.
I agree with you on B, I like your team, it’s really solid considering theres 2.0m in the bank. Benteke will probably have an average season 10-15 goals which will likely be similar to Berahino imo. He could easily get off to a good start and Chadli was solid last year. A is more of a gamble. Nice team.
Better you could go for Sakho instead of Berahino, maybe Kane at 1m+ as a replacement for Benteke or even Giroud.
I wanted Kane ahead of Benteke but can’t find the extra 1m. The other 2m needs to be kept in the bank
Possibly Mccarthy/Hennessy and Targett?
I have a keeper rotation so that won’t work. The money to upgrade Targett after GW1 will need to be kept in the bank too so that won’t work. I also don’t think it would be worth wasting a transfer upgrading Targett when I will have only used him for 1 GW.
Oh are you planning a triple 4.5m rotation then, I thought you could perhaps sacrifice one for a non-playing 4.0m, Palace 4.0m keeper still looks possible with pre-season. But ok sure you have reasons for that.
Cedric will also be rotated. Do you think I should get Mert and a 4.0 or keep it as it is. I think I’m leaning towards keeping it as it is. I don’t like the idea of having someone who doesn’t play.
Hmm you could certainly downgrade Azpi but then you miss out on the Chelsea coverage which is invaluable. You could downgrade Chadli to a 6.5m and then go with the 4.0m defender which would be good for getting Kane.
The problem is with the cost of giving up players for others I mean, Benteke will probably do well but we *can* assume Kane will do better. Is it better to have Benteke and a playing defender who will occasionally rotate and get a few clean sheets or have Kane and playing Cedric more often who could possibly get just as many clean sheets without needing to rotate him. They won 3-0 tonight.
Just food for thought, go with what you think is right ultimately.
Thanks. If Benteke goes then I will get Milner for Chadli. I might see if I can find a three way rotation with 2 playing every week that involves Cedric, or even all 4.5m defenderswhich would leave me with 1m left over, though that would leavemy backline looking quite weak.
Lads just did this to my team to see what I could do to bring Mane in and this is what I came up with. 2.5m left to do Rooney to Ageuro eventually. Just looking at it the defence is so weak.
your right – its a weak defence
who did you bring in Mane for?
Defoe would want a good pre-season to be even considered for me.
This is my current team. So Milner. Well it’s him, Wilson or Deeney and Sunderland have some good fixtures plus Wickham is gone now so Defoe is a sure thing.
9m is a bit high for Wickham. Strange move by Palace?
I heard it was 10m and it definitely is.
Anya won’t play every week. Sell and get someone who is nailed on. Downgrade Sterling to Chadli and upgrade defence
Ye that’s what I thought but didn’t want Wanyama. Barry?
No I think Sterling is a must have I think City will score tons of goals this season with Sterling involved in most of them.
Caulker is 5.5m? Bit rich.
I know I was hoping 5mil
Seriously though, fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Windows 10 is a nightmare. Need to back to 8 or 7 asap. And sure, if I want the win7 usbtool to work I need net framwork 1-10. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
So where do we talk? There are like 10k topics.
Surely you have the energy to comment in them all? 😉
Just put MLS up too Raz
The remaining pre season matches:
Isn’t it weird that Spurs only have 2 more games (for a total of 3…) and that those will come in consecutive days and just 4 days from kick-off?

I assume Spurs will play their more likely starters on the 4th and reserves on the 5th. But yeah a bit odd. Only a guess here, but thinking they played one or two behind closed doors.
They played some mad post season tournament i think, so they’re only having a few warm-up games as fitness should really be spot on.
I have set another team up just so I can see what diff it makes going without Kun we will see.
