Fantasy Premier League Fixtures 2022/23

It may only be June still, and most of us haven’t even contemplated our summer holidays yet, but the Premier League have released the fixture schedule for the upcoming 2022/23 season. As we ourselves here at FF247 Towers are taking an extended and well deserved break we shall proffer no insight at this stage but we will be back in due course with our usual Fixture Tracker (completed and taken seriously, see below for our effort at it so far…) and then as the season approaches we shall take a closer look at the fixtures in more detail with our Fixtures Analysis articles. For now this is simply a placeholder and an opportunity for folk to begin discussing the season ahead in the comments below, should they wish to do so.

As for the season itself all you really need to know at this stage is that it begins on Friday August 5th at 8pm (most likely with an FPL deadline of 6.30pm). Which is a week earlier than usual, and that is because we will have a massive mid-season break of about 6 weeks due to the World Cup. The break begins after GW16 on November 14th. We then resume, rather bizzarely and abruptly, on Boxing Day, but that’s a discussion and an issue for another day!

Big at the back and no Mo makes a good looking side to me!

I like it. Won’t go without Salah myself but think you could do very well with this team. All the best!

I quite like it but don’t think Van de Beek plays. Just don’t see where he fits In

      • banjomaker says:

Yea he was Neto in the previous revision. It’s basically whichever 5.5 mid is most tempting come august. The other draft I have is Mahrez & Undav instead of Jesus & Donny.

        • Gear says:

5.5m mid is a tough one. Somehow I’ve got two at present, Soucek and Wissa. Can’t see me starting the season like that though!

        • Smash says:

Yeah I’m struggling with one let alone two in that price bracket. Think I’ll have to have one hopefully pre season makes it a bit clearer

        • Wafflez says:

My latest draft ended up with 2 4.5 Mids. rofl Finding value in Mids below 7k seem pretty hard this season

        • banjomaker says:

Yea maybe squeezing a little from elsewhere to up the budget slightly is sensible. Looking at Robertson & Neto vs Dias & Odegaard is having me lean towards the latter. Or go even further and get one of the good value 8.0 mids and a 4.5 defender.

        • Ludinator15 says:

Gordon. He will play every week and Everton won’t be as bad as last season.

problem with such lineup is if Salah & some of the 8m midfielders start firing (which they probably will) u will have to make multiple transfers.

Been tinkering back and forth for days now, finally I believe I’ve landed on something decent. Maybe Henderson or Tsimikas should’ve gotten a chance, oh well can’t have ‘em all!! wink friends

It sounds crazy but could this back 5 get a combined 20 goals and 40 assists in the league this season?? shock

      OddDane says:

4 goals and 8 assists each on average? Tad much, but sure possible – I wouldn’t put any money down on that one though smile

      Stone Frog says:

Last season TAA and Roberson got a combined 5 goals and 23 assists. James got 5 goals and 9 assists. Persic got 8 goals and 7 assists ( is Seria A). Chilwell was mainly injured, but still got 3 goals and an assist. If Chilwell, Persic and James can get 5 goals each it could happen!

      • Reg83 says:

yes maybe but what if chelsea go on a run of 5 games with no cs and no goals/assists by james and chilwell, who himself maybe rotated with alonso.. will u have patience to keep holding them then? i remember james getting either blanking or scoring big last season.

        • Stone Frog says:

Yes this is a very good point. Cancelo would be better, but comes at extra cost.

        • Reg83 says:

i got laporte instead of cancelo. more direct goal threat though not the assist and bps potential of cancelo of course.

      Reg83 says:

i would say 13 goals and 33 assists.. james will get 5 goals, rest will get 2 goals each.
