Ok then so we saw quite a few requests for an updated ‘Set-Piece takers’ list on the comments recently and it jogged our memory that we hadn’t done one and as ever we took notice and decided to take action. We had a quick look around the offices of FF247 and found Eddy and Flingy slumped in the corner playing cards and a light bulb came on! So suddenly Eddy became our roving reporter and was whisked around the world to see all of the pre-season friendlies he could manage in order to bring you the latest set-piece table, while we locked Flingy in a darkened room, with Google as his only friend, to bring you the stats on last seasons set-piece specialists. Please find below the FF247 Set Piece Takers List for 2014/15. This list is a guide that we hope will help you select players that have the potential to bring in goals and crucial assist points. The table is based on information gathered from last season’s games, Opta stats, pre-season friendlies and FF247 community input.

Please be aware that this list is subject to change due to player injuries, drop in form, suspensions, manager whims, etc. The list will be updated throughout the season and as ever we welcome anybody in our community to inform us if you are aware of any updated roles or indeed anything you think we have got wildly inaccurate! You’re not perfect and neither are we 😉

So while Eddy was jet setting around the globe, Flingy was busy squirreling away to bring us the highlights of last season’s set-piece stats which are below for your perusal. The first deals with the players who had the ‘Most’ in each section. The second examines the teams themselves. We hope you find these both informative and helpful. There are obviously some players in there who are no longer with us (gone abroad, not died) and there are new players at some clubs who will take over some of these duties.

Hatter really like it mate, you just need to keep an eye on your two cheapo defenders – everything else looks great!
No Liverpool or City though – think I’d be tempted with one, possibly at the expense of Fabregas – your call though and we’ll prob still be debating the same point this time next week!
Agreed on that Cookie it does seem odd to see so many teams (mine included at the mo!) with nobody from the Champions or from the most exciting attacking team of last season albeit now sans Suarez. Are you planning to have any?
Yeah Init, probably Sterling and likely Yaya or Silva, hopefully Yaya but will see where we are next week. You?
Strongly considering Sturridge as I’m seeing him in few posted teams and I think he’s going to smash it this season. As for City its a mid or Mata at this point.
Sterling has been the only exciting thing from Liverpool pre-season!
Hi Hatter, liking the pick of Adam for GW1 and the planned switch. Makes perfect sense. It may just be me this now as everyone’s still picking him but is Wisdom nailed on? Zamora is still an issue for me too.
Cheers all, no Wisdom not nailed now with Gamboa signed but defo need 2 x 4.0m players so i need to keep scouting, i will eventually have City and Liverpool players but i’m set up with the first few game weeks in mind before i consider playing a wildcard (if i have to)
Oh and Zamora will just be bench fodder as for the first few weeks it’ll be 3-5-2
anyone else finding the 4.0’s a real nuisance ? got duff atm but need one other to raise 0.5, thoughts. repeating cookie up top ^^…. is wisdom nailed??
I’m not saying Wisdom is nailed on to start every match, but at only 4m he is probably more likely to play and pick up the odd clean sheet then some at the same price range.
To me he looked more than decent when filling in at Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers speaks very highly of him. Now I’m not saying that he has some sort if guaranteed playing term in his loan agreement or anything, but I really can’t see why Rodgers would send him out for first team experience if he hasn’t had some sort of verbal agreement with Irvin that he was gonna play.
I think Wisdom will be ok for first few weeks. But Gamboa may take his place in a few games time
So West Brom have now signed Wisdom, Gamboa, Lescott and some Australian left full back. Not seeing the why really.

I’ve been watching old editions of the clothes show.
Chins I completely see your point. If he leaves Siggy and Howard he has one black and one white. Think that is ok he can call those his… black and white ( creatively speaking ). Big problem I see is Ramsey. That white kills in his shirt kills it, this is where a stripe should go.
Gives him 3 red, 3 blue, 3 striped and a black and white. Not sure he could come up with a better scheme than that… #jobdone

Calvin – sorry mate. I’ve taken my eye margainly off the ball. On the plus side though, our pitch is looking amazing.
I’ve blocked out the entire evening to put a draft together. I’ve also passed your email address onto Mrs Chins in case she takes issue with the messy kitchen and unbathed children. It’ll be fine though. Got my eye on a couple of players already. (I heard brazil legend Pele is actually in the league this year! Bit old, but if he’s good enough for Koeman…)
