When Group C kicks off we are in for a treat with the Uruguay vs Italy game. Uruguay finds themselves in a must win situation, whereas Italy will be happy with a point to advance. Let’s see if Luis Suarez can produce magic against real defenders or if the most interesting man in the world Pirlo will even break a sweat. Considering the teams this promises to be an absolute can’t miss game.

In the other Group C match up we have the eliminated Costa Rica…sorry I meant England vs the surprising “Pura Vida” squad. One suspects that even the mothers and girlfriends (or boyfriends) of the players will be glued to the screen watching the other group game. So unless you are a die-hard 3 Lions follower (my respects) please don’t bother and yes this is an intervention. Step away from those who have hurt you over and over and over again.

In Group D we see Colombia vs Japan take place in a must win game for the Asian Country/Island/Island-Nation or whatever you prefer to categorize them as. Surely we will see the Japanese go in Kamikaze style looking for a goal differential that gives them a small chance of advancing. Colombia is expected, but not guaranteed to make a substantial amount of subs which will help them be fresh for the second round.

Greece vs Cote D’Ivoire sees the African nation looking for a win to secure their safe passage, even though a tie is likely to get them by also. Greece on the other hand need to win and get some help from the Colombians. If you think watching Greece defend is boring than we are in for a treat. Nothing like watching a team with no ideas going forward desperate to score.

Man, it was quiet on here today (yesterday). Maybe this story will get a discussion going. It was a very interesting read.

England with 9 changes. Only Cahill and Sturridge retain places.

I proudly thought I had ingeniously captained Alba and would silently grin while hoping someone would take notice and applaud such a punt after Neymar blanked…

    Morning all,
At this early stage in the GW there’s been some movement in POTTY A, NiN jumps up from 4th to 2nd, HL goes from 1st to 4th while my Hugstars moved from 2nd to hit the top. TinkerManU still holding firm and in the mix.
It’s still very tight and with 4 more games today I can see more changes coming. GL to all, this one is going down to the wire.

Morning. Quick question folks, stick with Cillessen (8) or switch to Karnezis vs Ivory Coast? It’s a very close call i think. Cheers.

This is the same problem I had last season in the EPL: I start off so well then start overthinking everything and fail. Haha. Rank of 599 at the moment, and I bet I’m gonna screw it up! lol
