One suspects that even the mothers and girlfriends (or boyfriends) of the players will be glued to the screen watching the other group game. So unless you are a die-hard 3 Lions follower (my respects) please don’t bother and yes this is an intervention. Step away from those who have hurt you over and over and over again.
In Group D we see Colombia vs Japan take place in a must win game for the Asian Country/Island/Island-Nation or whatever you prefer to categorize them as. Surely we will see the Japanese go in Kamikaze style looking for a goal differential that gives them a small chance of advancing. Colombia is expected, but not guaranteed to make a substantial amount of subs which will help them be fresh for the second round.
Greece vs Cote D’Ivoire sees the African nation looking for a win to secure their safe passage, even though a tie is likely to get them by also. Greece on the other hand need to win and get some help from the Colombians. If you think watching Greece defend is boring than we are in for a treat. Nothing like watching a team with no ideas going forward desperate to score.

Id say go for a switch. 7 from a keeper is unacceptable. Although 8 is my benchmark for a keeper. Make a switch based on your desperation for points.

8 is a decent score for a keeper. Not so much for a defender.

When we all picked our squads for The Maccy Ds game, i’m sure i wasn’t alone in struggling to fill the squad with decent players with the budget available. Thank goodness for Algerians!
So…. How is this going to work when we get into the latter stages when we only have the big teams to chose from? I’m wondering if its even mathematically possible to pick 23 players for 100m as there won’t be (m)any 1m players to help balance the books. Another MaccyDs shocker perhaps, or have i missed something?
I don’t remember reading anything about reduced squad size or bigger budgets. Should be fun!
All it says is pick a squad within the budget, i have a feeling the budget will be increased after the group stages, the same as the fantasy champs league game.
Chins my understanding on this is that you are going to have to keep a few cheap fillers that you already have so that you can pick a full 23 as you say or else it would be impossible to get 23 going forward. That’s assuming they don’t remove the teams that have been knocked out. Let’s hope Ronald factored this in…

The champs league one removes the teams that are out, so you can not transfer the cheaper players in after this point, BUT, if you already have them, it doesn’t force you to transfer them out, so you can keep a couple if you already have them.
