Oki doki we’re getting the hang of this now. The Champions are old, rubbish and are the first team to be knocked out of the tournament, Iranians score better than the Portuguese, Brazil are toothless without Ronaldinho, Ozil and Lukaku are about as reliable in this as they are in FPL and even the Yanks have produced a win – Chins must be bringing them some beginners’s luck.
Today sees the 2nd round of games in Group C and we kick off with what could be one of the games of the tournament so far as those sniffling, snorting Colombians meet Ivory Coast – with both sides having won their opening fixture whoever wins this will have one foot into the next round. The late game sees Japan play Greece, both of whom will be looking for their first win and to keep their tournament hopes alive – the loser alas will likely be flying home.
Sandwiched between the above two games is the big one for many of us as Woy’s Boys take on Uruguay. A must win game for both teams and many eyes will be on selection as we wait to see if Suarez is passed fit while for England, there have been some calling for Rooney to be dropped. For the Goofy one, if he plays, it’ll be a chance for him to test himself vs a few of his talented Liverpool team mates…..and Glen Johnson.

So to add extra interest to this game looks like round 1 scores have been adjusted. I know Aleck posted last night about Ramos scored being adjusted (goals conceded). My score has gone down by 1, not that it makes much difference I am still bottom of my group. I can’t see my round 1 team anymore though so don’t know where my point has gone from. Good news is it looks like the mini leagues are updated regularly now ( well at least my total score is showing).
Morning Seren, hope you’re well. I know MaccyD’s would get it right in the end – if only they’d sorted it from the start everyone would of been happy and Potty would of have had a full compliment of teams in his comps.
Big day ahead – not sure what will happen tonight with England – another decent performance leading to victory or another glorious failure?!
My hopes are high today, England can win this one…….. I really don’t believe Suarez can turn the whole Uruguay team round singlehanded. I hope sterling starts again and shows his talent ( for both England & my fantasy team).
P.s. Looks like my luck has come to an end in the T20 …… Some amazing scores this week. Having & captaining kieswetter seemed the trick this week

I can’t believe Goofy is anywhere near 100% fit – they couldn’t even bring him off the bench vs Costa Rica, which I think is very telling. My one hope is that Gerrard takes him out early and it all boots off and he bites Gerrard – that would make the World Cup for me! Oh and then Rooney scores and shuts up the idiots!
Indeed, That would be entertaining…I’d keep the storyline, except, instead of Rooney scoring, I’d opt for a Barkley, Sterling or Gerrard goal with Rooney working his tail off, making these plays happen.

Morning Elle, yes I heard from them too after I mailed them re formations joke and your situation – happy days they will sort it – will mean some confusion in the short term as no one will know where they stand but should help with the excitement.

Hoping for a Gerrard goal or 2 as my captains armband has found its way to him after Neymar, Blind and now Iniesta didn’t quite get enough points with it on.
Thought Spain looked average last night but Iniesta showed his class by playing that killer ball to Costa that should’ve been a goal and nearly bending in a beauty at the end that the keeper saved well.

Wish you all the best with getting those points back Elle, but at the same time will be a bit pissed if they do retrospectively return them as I purposely left low points on the pitch as I knew I’d lose better scores from the right if I changed formation. Not against you at all you understand, just the game!

Many people keep saying “but when did England last play well?”….. So let me enlighten them???
It was the other night versus Italy.
And to put into perspective how well we played?…..we lost to a team who will proceed to the last 4.
But please remeber this also.
Uraguay without doubt won’t play as badly as in their opener.
If we are brave and bold the England pace should be enough to see us through but our young starlets naievity may undo us,as Uraguay will resort to aggressive tactics and it may be the key factor in this match.

Been away from here for a while – so hows the scoring goping in the big mac league generally. ie whats a decent score. currently 96 pts which i am guessing is average?
96 is a decent score Drexl, above average. The top scorers in my leagues were on 120 odd so 96 isn’t that far off. Alot of players didn’t do as well.

If your talking about the McD’s game, i’d go with Barkley (if he plays) and see how he does, if no good, change him to Pogba who plays the Swiss tomorrow.
We can’t make transfers in this game until after the group games are all finished.
