Fantasy World Cup Live Match Chat Day 9
Good morning all and we hope you’re up for some more non-stop action as we continue to progress through the group stage of the World Cup. Today is Day 9 and we kick off in the colourful and coastal city of Recife as Italy meet Costa Rica – both teams won their opening fixture in the group and this one should be a further test of how good the surprise package of Costa Rica really are.
The middle game sees us move into Group E as the toblerone-loving, cheese-eating Swissies aim to put one of their neighbours, the garlic smelling French. These two also won their first game, though we suspect you will have more fantasy interest in the French, with the likes Benzema, Pogba and Evra.
And finally, for all you insomniacs out there we have Honduras vs Ecuador – not really sure what to say about this one except to hope that those Hondurans you used to fill up the cheap spaces in your squad play and maybe even get you some points.
Well good luck, hope your players perform, careful on those formations now.
Yay, Buffon starts! I have him in the mirror fantasy game, where -1 point is awarded for EACH conceded goal and no points are awarded for saves, so if he didn’t play I’d get Ryan with -1 points on once again. Not that anyone cares… *sob sob*
HI again…
Back home from work – FRI finally  !!
Just did a Cpt change from Neymar to Benze-goal !
Giroud is the one you want (see earlier posts)
Costa Rica – lol …
Anyone got any Italian defenders?
No, but it ain’t looking brill for England, is it a Costa Rica win + we are out ?
Correct :/ …
Elle, a Costa Rica draw and we’re out!
Ah well, another let down, Stevie will retire from England now.
Elleffcee
Another thing…
When the 3 Lions return home Hodgson will also be gone, that’s football for you.
Potty
Legend, hes always been a crap manager, we had to watch him at the Pool don’t forget.
When Germany beat Portugal 4-0
6 of their starting line-up came from their Euro’s Under 21 Final Squad who defeated England.
This tells me that the Germans believe in Youth while we don’t.
The future ain’t good at all.
Potty
Sorry Potts, but it looks like Hodgson will stay:
“Roy Hodgson will remain as England manager until 2016, says Football Association chairman Greg Dyke.”

the young players will prob save him. If he starts a few of them in the last game, Id say he will survive
Lloris, Evra, Sakho, Varane, Debuchy, Sissoko, Cabaye, Matuidi, Valbuena, Benzema, Giroud
No Pogba :O ?
Giroud starts
Good goal from Giroud
Van Bergen off injured, great.
