Fantasy World Cup Live Match Day 14

Fantasy World Cup Live Match Day 14

This evening sees the culmination of Groups E & F. It’s Group F to kick us off as Argentina meet Nigeria – Argentina have already qualified without being anywhere near their best, but a win for Nigeria would see the Africans secure top spot. However, should Nigeria lose and Iran can beat Bosnia then it’s all down to goal difference as to who goes through with the Argies.

The late night matches in Group E should also provide plenty of excitement and tension. The French have pretty much qualified – only an unlikely last game disaster and heavy defeat would see les Frogs eliminated. The more likely battle is for the other qualification place with both Ecuador and the Swiss battling to proceed – Ecuador currently hold the position but may well need to beat the French as one would expect the Swiss to defeat Honduras.

Thanks for reading Fantasy World Cup Live Match Day 14 – Good luck everyone!

    Hi B
Got Vertonghen,Bentaleb,De Bruyne and Korkorin to step in but one is needed for the glassman Aguerro who scored 3 then limped out with his world cup finished!!

Much more important, we’ll probably have to miss out on Suarez for a long while. Terrible. Hate what he did, such a waste of talent that will be.

Raz you should have joined in its been great fun. Tomorrow will be nail biting. Many teams qualifying that had no chance last week, many getting knocked out with fantastic scores that would have walked other leagues, many getting through with scores that would have seen them last in other groups. Seriously you’ve missed out! Great drama. Thanks Potty!

      • Mutley says:

Raz, i think you’ll find that any ban that comes from FIFA will only apply to international games.
Whilst i don’t think that is right, i’m pretty certain he will be free to play in the premier league next year.

        • NIN says:

No Mutts, they can give him a worldwide ban if they see fit. I reckon he’s gone for a long time.

        • Mutley says:

He should be NIN, but can you tell me when it last happened (if it ever has), as i can’t remember.

        • NIN says:

Agreed, he should be banned for a long time and not allowed to play in the next World Cup or the qualifiers for it. Absolutely disgraceful carry on. I don’t know if they’ve done it before.. Mutu maybe? He was on the charlie and got turfed out for a long time..

        • Mutts, NiN I remember South American qualifiers in the late 80’s. The Chilean keeper pretended to get hurt by a flare, he had a razor and cut himself with Chile down 1-0 to Brazil. The loss was going to eliminate Chile. If I am not mistaken he was suspended for life and Chile was not allowed to participate in the qualifiers for the following world cup. I believe a defender who was the captain was also suspended for a couple of years, but that I am not sure about. But I do remember the keeper being done for life and the Chilean national team being suspended from the following world cup qualifiers. I believe his name was Rojas ( the keeper )

        • Mutley says:

          Great memory Mito.

        • NIN says:

Cant say i ever knew about that, a few tournaments too early for me i think.

Captain Dicky and His C Men says:

Ok guys, I want to swap my forward for a midfielder. Currently playing 4-3-3, if i change to 4-4-2 will my right most forward get removed? Trouble is that’s Neymar and don’t want to risk it! If i remove the forward and have no one to available to play what would happen?

      inittowinit says:

Captain D my understanding of this is that if you remove the forward you want and then change formation and then put in the mid you want you will be fine. I’ve done it twice and it worked fine that way round. Please wait on a second opinion though just in case someone else has had a different experience.

      • PvR says:

I tried this in the first round, and it failed miserably. I ended up losing Neymar. But I believe they have updated the site since then so that it is possible to do what init is suggesting. I’m guessing you did this more recently than me init?

        • inittowinit says:

Did it this past week twice and certainly since the update as you say so I’m sure it’s working ‘better’ if not ‘perfectly’.

      NIN says:

Scroll over the word ‘formation’ above your team. All the info is there.

    NIN says:

POTTY A is going to the wire as expected. I haven’t a clue what to do with my remaining subs, tomorrow is going to be a nail biter that’s for sure!
