Fantasy World Cup Live Match Day 15
It’s hard to believe that the group stages come to an end today! We’ve had a great two weeks of football and those of us under the age of 40 will probably agree that at this stage it is the best World Cup which we remember. We’ve already said goodbye to England, adios to Spain and arrivederci to Italy and today we could conceivably be saying adeus to Portugal…oh and let’s not forget that Luis Suarez has once more upset the holy joes!!
First up today is Group G as the US face Germany while Portugal square up to Ghana. A draw between the Germans and the Yanks will see both qualify for the next round and word on the street is that Angela and Obama have had a natter on the blower and everything has been arranged, this would see the Germans top the group. Should there be a positive result one way or the other in this game then both Portugal and Ghana will hope to take advantage with a victory, but with the Portuguese currently on a goal difference of minus 4, they’ll need a minor miracle…maybe they know a few holy joes?!!!
The final group to come to a conclusion is Group H, with Belgium having already qualified after two workmanlike victories and the Belgians will claim top spot in the should they secure at least a point from their game against South Korea. 2nd spot in the groups is very much up for grabs, although a win for Algeria over the Russians will see them progress, while a draw could possibly be enough.

Could so easily have been two or three. Oh well.
Fair play to the U.S.A. I didn’t think they had any sort of a chance to qualify but there you go.

You have any options off they bench for group H? I have two final players to throw into the mix… It’s going down to the wire!
I have 1 or 2 up my sleeve haha. I wouldn’t bet against them changing the points before the afternoon games kick off. This is getting intense!

Who is the best player to replace Bedoya (2)?
I have Aglerian DEF (could be a hit or miss), Kombarov (a good choice since he takes corners), Bentaleb, KDB (not starting, but a power sub?) and Kokorin (has been disappointing in first 2 games) remaining.
Who is my best bet?
Pogba (6) is my second lowest player this GW. I guess ill just keep him in.
The B, at this stage in the competiton, i honestly think you should just stick with the 2 points in the bank.

I haven’t seen enough of Russia so i’d say Bentaleb from that selection mate. De Bruyne would be the shout but if he’s not starting then he’s of no real use.
It seems like Hazard and Lukaku are also not starting.
That’s the best news i’ve heard all day! Hopefully it’s true. It’d be good for my Mirror team too as i have Mertens in that game, might mean they play through him more often than not.

It looks like Belgium is really changing their lineup so it might have to be Bentaleb or Bouguerra. And thanks! We will definitely compete against them and it would be great if we had Altidore back for that game as well. He’s been missed.
Interesting Chins. Although you do not want my advice, but Bouguerra isnt starting, Alder is 1 YC away from suspension so might be rested and Lukaku is rumoured not to start. The only solid choice you have is Bentaleb who is a hit or miss. Might as well make a switch to Bent as he does come with a 4 point guarantee.

Apparently Luke Shaw is going to have a medical at Man United. And they’re going to pay about £34 million??? What??
Seems like a decent move if Shaw plays around 8 to 10 seasons for them.
I’d love us to sign him but at that price i’d rather we bought Moreno or maybe Blind. The latter has impressed during this World Cup and seems to have the potential to become a very good player.

so far, when teams have changed things up, they’ve not looked good at all. I would imagine there’ll be stronger subs planned – who will they be though? Anyone gambling with KDB…? Could be a costly mistake!
