FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 15

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 15. We of course played our wildcard and while the results weren’t instantly remarkably ‘WOW’, we did ok, given the rotation nightmares that many seemed to suffer. We scored 55 vs an average of 47, giving us a weekly rank of 1.3mln and saw us rise in the overall ranking to 246,768 from 298k. A step in the right direction for sure and as long as it continues, we remain a happy bunch. If you remember, one of the reasons we finally played the wildcard was to sort our defence and our new crew certainly did us proud with Christensen, Mustafi and Dunk all recording clean sheets. However, the true tale of our game-week came late on in the action as Sterling and Salah came up trumps, Salah from the bench, to return 22pts between them. Kane was our only other ‘success’ story with his usual goal at Leicester. The others do not deserve a mention, but we won’t hang them out to dry quite yet. We’ll give them another week at least!!

Last weeks ‘result’…

We are holding our free transfer…
It would be a poor reflection on our Wildcard if we were then to make a transfer or two this week. Hence we are doing nothing. Our one predicament was to play RLC or Niasse who is available again after his ban. We thought (guessed) that Big Sam will likely keep things as they are after the Toffees smashed the Hammers in midweek so a place on the bench looks the best Niasse can hope for.

The team in full
And so this is how we line up ahead of GW15…

Our Captain is Eden Hazard
No doubt here amongst the committee. Freshly rested and up against a poor Toon side at home, we hope to get off to a flying start to the game-week with the Belgian. If for some reason Hazard doesn’t appear then our vice captain is Harry Kane up against the leaky Watford defence.

  1. Hello all, great advice as usual, but I can’t seem to translate that into FPL points as of late. Had another stinker of a GW! Bah.

    Any suggestions? 1FT, 0.0 ITB.

    • Hi Shriz, I’d say Gray is hurting you there. While everyone else is picking up fairly regular points from say GroB and Richarlison as their 4th mid Gray isn’t. Think he’s scored more than 2 points on only 3 occasions so far and 2 of those were 3 and 4. He’s had 8 one pointers and a zero. I’d look at fixing that as a priority be it by going Sane to Sterling or Kun to whoever.

      • Thanks Innitt. Indeed, Gray needs to go and ya, dropping Sane for Sterling is a good way to go about it.

    • Hey Shrizzine, what about Gray to Gross or Shaqiri?

      • Oh wait just realised you said you had 0.0 itb. I’d downgrade Sane and use that money to upgrade Gray to one of the lads I mentioned.

  2. Hi everyone…

So another week is here already….
Here is my team with 2FT

    What options do i have?

I’m thinking of taking a -4 And going with
Out fabregas – alli – Carrol
In Salah – Fernandinio – Doucoure
What do you guys reckon…. I am open to any other better suggestions

    Thanks

    • Alli out and Salah in makes sense but I wouldn’t bring in the two you mention – you would have a headache over who to bench every week. How about Alli > Salah & Fab > Shaqiri, who has Swansea this GW? Or even Mane instead of Salah and Fab > Richarlison.

      • Thanks Robbo

Think I’ll go for Shakiri and salah

  3. David Silva to Sterling?

    • As long as you accept that he might not play on any given GW, including this one, that makes sense Raz.

Sods law though he’ll be Pepped as soon as you bring him in!

  4. Hi guys – great work as always – 0FT and 0ITB – any thoughts on transfers or formation?! Thanks v much!

  5. Hi all, so with Sane being back in contention, what would you do with this team:
    Fabianski (Elliot)
    Walker Daniels Kola Jones Mbemba
    Gross Doucoure Salah D.Silva Carroll
    Jesus Kane Vardy

    2Ft £0.7m

Tempted by Morata and Sterling for Jesus and Silva. What are people thinking about Jesus’ and Sane’s game time? Tempted to take a hit to bring in Sane, binning Jones for Zeegelaar.

    • @ AT – I would do the Morata and Sterling move just going on form but Sterling could be dropped at any minute

      • Sane would seem safer, no? At least after this weekend…

        • I honestly don’t think we can label any of the City players as safer so I really don’t know

  6. I have 2 FT this week and I’m actually struggling to see any obvious changes. Perhaps try and bring Man City defensive cover?

    • @ Special K – I would just do something with Lowton. Wouldn’t tear apart the team to bring in City defence, to be honest.

      • Yeah true enough Matt, I’d only be shipping him out to make sure I have a full bench as I can during Xmas anyway.

        • Exactly so I’d find a decent rotation player and bring him in for Lowton

    • Special K, I’m curious how the triple Burnley defense has been? Didn’t even cross my mind but looks like it could be a master stroke seeing how season’s been so far. Have you had the courage to play all 3 any GW?
