FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 17
Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 17. A fourth green arrow on the spin, what is the world coming to? Maybe we are doing something right after all! 56 points in GW16 was a decent, if unspectacular, performance – the average was 43, so we’re happy and sees us rise to a ranking of 125,647. Like many, our week was dominated and made by Kane the captain who contributed 24 points. Obviously Salah helped, but then everyone has him, while Begovic’s penalty save at Palace helped him return 8pts. With 43 points out of 56 coming from three players, the less said about the rest the better, but many of you had similar outcomes and can relate. We move onto midweek GW17 with 2 free transfers and 2.1mln in the bank. The world is our oyster, surely…..
Last weeks ‘result’…
This week’s transfer(s) – we have sold Mustafi and bought Otamendi.
With Mustafi suffering the Arsenal curse (ie ‘he may be back next week’….7 months later, we’re still waiting…) we have dumped the German unceremoniously and bought City’s Otamendi who appears to be more likely to score than keep a clean sheet right now! We’re anything but greedy and if he carries on scoring then great – the Argentinian has scored four goals already this season and two in his last two games. Bit of a no-brainer transfer really.
It was also suggested that we sold Niasse and bought Charlie Austin – despite Austin’s decent form of late, one look at Southampton’s next 5 fixtures very quickly extinguished that idea. We may deal with Niasse next week with Calvert-Lewin the early suggested replacement. But that’s for GW18 – for now let’s deal with GW17 and celebrate an Otamendi hat-trick!

Our Captain is Harry Kane
After his brace at the weekend we have been sucked in by the troll and decided to captain him again. No-one else was really suggested, despite us also owning Salah and Hazard. So, it’s over to you Harry lad – keep on the scoring and we’ll be calling you ‘One of Our Own’ before long. Our vice-captain is Eden Hazard.

With 2FTs and 0.1 itb, should I just do Morata >Firmino and Mustafi>Jones?
I could also bring in Hazard for Sane and a -4.
maybe we get news if Mee is fit or not, if he´s out you could do Morata to Firmino and Mustafi to Otamendi (would´t buy Jones at this stage, we don´t know if he is nailed again. If Mee is fit, Morata and Sane to Firmino and Hazard is a no brainer!

With Morata out now I’m not quite sure if I could fill a start11 and worst Dunk could be in negative this week. Was thinking of Ramsey to Sterling and Morata to Lukaku (-4). Just 0.1m off from Silva + Aguero. What do you guys think of Lukaku?

Similar situation to yours. I’ve got Ramsey, Morata and zeeg out too.but unlike you my 3rd sub isn’t a playing one.
You could play Dunk and RLC for Ramsey and Morata.
Or upgrade Ramsey to any City mid?
I had a shocking hat trick of weeks for negative points. First Yedlin, then Dunk and last week Zeegy. Wouldn’t want to count on Dunk.
Yeah feel the same about playing Dunk. Hopefully he don’t come in but it’s certainly possible

Not sure I’m afraid. Morata to Firmino and play RLC over Ramsey? If you’re happy with a hit, Son or a City midfielder in for Ramsey would be an option.
Thanks Mate but not really sold on Firmino as Klopp rotates the most in Epl. I like Son but not sure I could survive with 2 Spurs players on gw20 since they have blank. Thanks for the suggestions!

Which Watford defender is the best to get? Kabasele?
Interested in Mariappa for the low budget, but it always feels dodgy picking such a cheapo. While Kiko/Zeeg are out, if money is no option then Kabasele seems the best bet
Would anyone endorse getting Coutinho in a WC team over Salah? 0.9m would go a long way… Phil’s stats are good…
I’m playing around with a last minute WC (used my 2FTs and may not do it this week). 0.9 leftover would upgrade Couts > Salah, but can it be better spent?
Not for me Salah’s returns are ridiculous . I’ve be tempted by both
I wouldn’t go without Salah mate, the 0.9m can’t be used to improve the team significantly as Firmino + 0.9 doesn’t give you anyone. Unless DDG to a 4.5 keeper + 0.9 could help you do Firmino to Morata (for the following week)
I’ve thought about trading out De Gea but it seems to not be worth it– he’s easily the highest scoring keeper, and the Utd defence rotates a bit, not sure I gain a lot beyond ££.
