BALD MEN FIGHTING OVER A COMB
Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW14. Any one of our outfield bench players would have scored more for us last week than five of our starting eleven did, had we played them. We didn’t. Cantwell would have been our 2nd top scorer, had we not marooned him 3rd on our bench. We did. Regrets, regrets. But it happens.
On a positive note we did still score semi-decently with 66 points from those who bothered to show up; namely (C) Vardy with his now standard 24, Soyuncu with his standard CS and 6, Mane with his standard goal and 9, Jimenez with his standard goal and 7 and Pope with an unexpected CS but also somehow standard 9.
Overall then we did just manage to eek out our 3rd green arrow in a row to grab our highest overall rank of the season which now sees us sat 23,086th. And we have all our chips intact plus two free transfers to play with and £0.7 in the bank.

We usually go live with this article on a Thursday but we deliberately hung on this week to catch the Tammy news before making our final decision(s). The fact that he misses the first game for sure also leads us to cast doubt over his inclusion in midweek and so we have decided to move him on for now although we are sure we will welcome him back soon enough. His replacement was the main topic of discussion and it started in our usual chaotic fashion…
“Just get Jimenez, simples”
“Erm, this is awkward. We already own him…?”
“Just buy him again then!”
It’s conversations like this that sometimes make you wonder how we manage to tie our shoelaces never mind run such a slick operation on a daily basis! Once we had got over that initial hurdle though his replacement was an easy enough task. We either downgraded a bit to say Ings (over my dead body, said one!) or upgraded a bit to say Jesus (hallelujah, said many!). The upgrade would need a cash injection but fortunately we found Lucas Digne bent over firing pound coins out of his arse. And so it was done. Baldock of Sheffield United seemed to be the natural replacement and garnered much support.
Or so we thought, as a fight suddenly broke out in the corner! Questions were raised over the need / wisdom of having two Sheffield United defenders, such as when on earth would we ever call on both. The truth is that we wouldn’t. Kelly of Palace was suggested and the brawl escalated as ‘Ward would be back eventually’ and then we would need to sell Kelly. The truth is that we wouldn’t. The truth is that either can happily ride 3rd spot on our bench and so eventually the bald men put the comb down and picked the cheapest one.
To confirm then we have SOLD Lucas ‘the pound machine’ Digne & Tammy Abraham and BOUGHT Martin Kelly & Jesus
Captain – Jamie Vardy
No fights over this one, and we are hoping for a hat-trick of consecutive 24 point captain hauls from the main man himself. Or just a hat-trick, either will suffice. For the record Sadio Mane did get a solitary vote, one more than anyone else.

You know Tammy is out of this one?
I do, it’s either;
1. Play 4 at the back with Rico or 5 in the middle with Douglas Luiz
2. Sterling out for Son and play option 1
3. Sterling+Tammy out for Son+Jesus
Option 3 is the aggressive play, I’d probably consider that.
I’m worried I’ve only got 1 playing bench player if I keep Tammy! However, if I sell then I have to take a hit to get anyone remotely decent! Obviously Sterling would be the one to go but I think I need to give him the game this week before moving him on. Thoughts? See how Sterling goes in the early kick off and make a move early if he is rubbish as to avoid further price drops on him and Tammy?

(1) Benching dilemma – whom to bench (pick 1)? …….from Tomori / Lunds / Soyuncu.
(2) KDB to Son – worth 4 point hit?…no other City player I have. Or, Moura is a better value?
1. Its a tough one. But I would bench Lunds and hide behind the couch if I had to choose between the 3. Its really a tough one, dont blame me later. ha ha
2. Not worth the 4ph. Expect KDB to get some points against newcastle
@praveen (1) No, none to blame… but yes, Lunds will keep my heart bitting faster if I bench him. The kind of ownership he has and if majority plays him and he outscores the other two, it will be a miss.
(2) Ok, I resist the temptation and hope KDB to get his assist shoes on (and a goal from somewhere)…but for that Jesus and Sterling have to score.
1) Soyucu as chelsea’s defense is not that good, personally I’m not benching Lunds for any match this season!
2) You do realise KDB has almost 20 more points than Son ?
@Snookie Bear (1) You mean Tomori to be benched and play Soyu and Lunds?
(2) This is the Halo effect of Son…. last season I did not have Son for the period when he was firing and that caused a huge difference in OR. This season, thus when Son just started firing I raised the red flag to myself.
Think I’d bench Lunds but no to other move. City will come good sooner or later while Spurs have yet to play anyone under Jose
@Smash I benched Lunds initially (that sounds logical in pen and paper), but the Braga match of Wolves put me in doubt… and the way Lunds is going forward – he almost scored vs MUN which ended with an assist.

Thanks fellas for this informative approach to your decision making! This is where our paths separate (had a fairly similarish team till weeks ago) but have sold Mount for Pulisic, and keeping Abraham for the moment, as I have Jiminez already, and I’m sticking to my original plans (as they seem to be confirmed by recent form and events).

Well this is my lot,i have done my free transfer,early this week, yarmolenko to pulicic, early,is it worth the minus 4 to do tammy to rashford or someone else;
This is tough I’m not sure. Do you have enough for Jesus or Lacazette. Basically I’m not a Rashford fan
Ι can afford both but ,honestly i prefer rashford for the next couple of games,or do nothing and wait for tammy to return,if it s just onw gw out;

I considered the same moves so not crazy. I did not have Jimenez so I just got him. Though surely just use it as an excuse to get Vardy
