Going around in circles…

Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW19. We are beginning to think one of us ran over a black cat recently, and declined to declare it. In case you missed it we sold Cantwell last week and brought Son. In a word then… d’oh!

As well as that particular 11 point swing in the wrong direction we lost poor John McGinn early doors, to add to having already lost Tyrone Mings the week before. And suddenly our best laid plans are starting to to look a bit tattered. Elsewhere Pope and Lundstram brought us welcome relief with a clean sheet apiece, and Vardy and Jimenez got us a couple of goals. But that was all and so we ended up with a disappointing 37 points and yet another red arrow as we now slide down to 110,841st.

Our GW18 Result…

Let’s go see what was decided…

Our GW19 Transfer(s)
Which, which, which…
We had 1 free transfer and nothing in the bank with which to fix the above mess so we had to get a bit creative. The first suggestion being that we simply bring Cantwell back in, for McGinn. Which felt like going around in circles, chasing points that we’d just voluntarily thrown away. Which is when the creativity kicked in because this opened up the discussion of future moves and the possibility of (finally) getting KDB in next week. Which lead us nicely onto selling Son to raise funds and we quickly came to the conclusion that if we sold him this week for Grealish then next week we could afford KDB for Zaha.

It’s bang on the money that one though so we need to either watch the price rises closely and go early or simply accept that it isn’t to be and be consoled with Zaha facing up to Saints instead.

To confirm then we have SOLD Son and BOUGHT Jack Grealish

Captain – Tammy Abraham
This was hardly conclusive and mutiny was threatened, toys were thrown but anarchy was avoided….we think. It went like this – we had four different suggestions and a no-show. Mane, Alli, Lundstram and Tammy were all put forward before the Lundstram backer (you can likely guess who that was) succumbed to appease the Tammy supporter. On current form, Tammy will emerge as a late substitute as Lundstram grabs another haul.

Final piece of the WC puzzle:

Do I risk Aurier with good fixtures or just go for someone who’s nailed like Dunk… Kelly? Cathcart?

Morning all! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Happy with my team, I’m just not sure whether to play Cantwell ahead of Maddison and Kelly ahead of Tomori? Captain pick is also a bit of a minefield!

Hope you all had a good Christmas. Am I good to go? Only real change I was thinking about was Mount to play and Ings on the bench. Any thoughts?

Got a bad feeling about the captain pick. On tammy now, but considering vardy this week too. Made a last minute change to vardy from rash last week when they played city, and it turned out to be the right pick. Is it as likely that Vardy could score against pool as it was against city? His counter attacks can be quite deadly against attacking teams right?

All set? I feel like I’m taking a few risks with the defence and capo but hoping it’ll pay off.
