Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW19. Sergio took to the boards this week and he couldn’t have put it any better; “Nightmare gameweek for the site team :see-no: “. It may have been his sole contribution this week but at least he was 100% accurate with it! 45 points saw us with 10 less than the overall average. Kane got us a third of our overall points with his 15, the rest averaged 3 each. Enough said. Overall it saw us plunge back down 25,000 odd places to finish in 84,654th.

We go into GW19 with 1 free transfer and a more than healthy bank balance of £3.2m, but with a wildcard to swing at our issues could this finally be the week….?
This weeks transfer decision(s)
Yes, in short! The wildcard is finally active. The trouble with playing it now is of course rotation, we could make the best team possible and still see half of them benched. It’ll look and feel like egg on the face but we just need to crack on and take it, should it happen. The upside is that we can at least have a passable and active bench to come in for whichever one (or many) of our superstars take a break.
As for the selections themselves we’ve bought into the ‘Ole Revolution’ a fair bit here, threefold in fact. Their fixtures possibly warrant it though. A first home game against Huddersfield certainly does, if nothing else. Son gets a temporary spot for three weeks before he leaves us and Spurs for the Asian Cup in January. The rest is fairly self explanatory. There’s no Hazard, no Arsenal and no Richarlison but that’s not to say we snubbed any of them particularly, we would probably have taken any or all of them but as the saying goes “you can’t have them all”.
Our Captain is Mo Salah
This was fairly close between him and Kane, 3 votes to 2 close, in fact. Both have form and fixture in their favour so the truth is that we are just happy to have both of them, luck will probably decide whether we landed on the correct side of the fence.

I’m stuck to know what to do. Think my team isn’t in bad shape but I’ve got 2FTs anyway…
With 0.2m im short of most straight swaps so would need to downgrade Alonso or Sterling to get the likes of :

Martial
Rashford
I know Perreya isn’t prolific but he does have some good fixtures coming up and I do trust Wilson some what.

Current state of play. I’m either stuck with Hart in goal, Quaner instead of Kamara or Peltier instead of Bednerak unless I get lucky tonight with a swing
I’m loving the front 8 (obviously) but no premium defenders would be a slight worry… That defense could be very iffy in the long-run especially if United can’t get more solid defensively (don’t know whether there’s anything to suggest they will) and if/when the Liverpool defs are all fit again! But I guess you can’t have everyone. If you don’t get lucky then I’d pick Quaner instead of Kamara as that would be the position you’d stuck the deepest on your bench anyway I guess! Good luck with that though!
Yeah it is a slight worry the defence. Alonso has not done it for a while rumours he might not even play. It’s a shame to lose Robbo. Spurs and City are conceding. Interesting does everyone think Fabianski is worth the sacrifice of a bench player then?
Smash, if you get out of the La La land involving Salah what better options would you have? Just asking.
Ha ha Salah’s biggest fan Ivan. I’m keeping Salah prob could do a lot with the cash but I can’t watch Liverpool play without him
Lindelof over Shaw? I brought him in yesterday ( could have had either) but have a feeling he’ll be more nailed

Rosco, we can only guess what can happen from now until January. No one can be prepared for the rotations ahead. As for Alonso, smart move in my opinion. I am really amused to see people have the likes of him and Salah still in their teams. Both of them were great once upon time but you need to move with the winds currently blowing.
Haha Smash, I like the determination. Gut feelings very often win over presumptions. That is my next step in the self disciplined training 🙂

Yeah I did Chipster did I not reply. If not sorry. Yeah Robertson is gone can’t go back now. Ings instead of Jimenez does allow me to tidy up a bit
My suggestion was to downgrade Richarlison to the likes of Camarasa in order to fund the following:
Kamara to Ings
Hart to Fabianski (without having to rely on a 0.1m swing in your favour tonight)
Lovren to TAA (who you had said you’d prefer, but couldn’t afford)
Bednarek to Cedric / Targett (to get a more nailed SOT starter, or maybe a cheap defender from a different team if funds now allow)
Yeah I could do that I’ll sleep on it. Think I prefer to keep Richarlison. But yeah I could do something like this
@Chips I do prefer Richarlison over Ings and the suggest upgrade with the Everton fixtures now though, Saints fixtures are quite bad and a double-up is risky, it’s only been 2 games with Hazelnut, the new manager effect often wears off and all that, Richarlison is nailed and has been good value this season!
@Smashers Yeah I fancy the 3-5-2 team, Ings over Jimenez could easily work, I quite like that (as a biased Saints fan) 😉
That looks good also Smash. Plus, if TAA drops again tonight, you’d have the cash to also upgrade Bednarek to Targett.
Bednarek is better choice than Targett though, he’s preferred by the new manager currently whereas Targett is most likely playing because Ryan and Cedric have been injured! I told you already, I quite hope Targett was nailed but it’s a complete lottery as of now whereas Bednarek is playing ahead of fit alternatives!
Speroni dropped to 3.9 so I have taken him to get the 0.1

I wouldn’t take the hit as the defeders have great fixtures, just play 4 defs benching Holebas!
Merry Christmas guys and girls, hope you’ve had a lovely day and ready for kick off tomorrow. I haven’t been on for a while as life has gotten in the way recently but hopefully all calmed down now so can concentrate on the important things like FPL!! Could I have your advice please I have my first WC to play what so you think of keeping pretty much the same or 2nd team. Hard to get rid of Hazard though, thank you xxx

Robbo -> TAA/Lovren would free up some funds to get a better keeper (Fab) and upgrade Mee -> Shaw. Could you also upgrade Schneiderlin -> Camarasa?
