Well, well, well – 82 points scored in GW1 with 37 of those points coming from our 3 playing defenders. Robertson, Shaw and Mendy all performed heroically with bonus points flying all over the place! Richarlison’s brace was also most welcome while Salah chipped in with his customary goal. Firmino provided an assist but with Liverpool scoring four we may have expected more. The rest of our number were 2pt bums, while like many other managers, we left Wan-Bissaka’s 12 points on the bench.
Overall we are delighted with the start, overall rank means nothing at this stage.

Last Week’s Result

What have we done this week?

Like many of you we have decided to sit on our hands this week and roll our transfer over. To be honest this was always the plan and it would have taken a significant injury to one of our players to have forced us into the transfer market. Thankfully we didn’t own KDB! Two transfers next week coupled with the 0.5mln we have stashed in the bank should give us an element of flexibility. We will be paying close attention to both Cairney and King this weekend as neither impressed in GW1.

The Team In Full…

Captain – Sergio Aguero
Unlike last week we were actually forced to take a vote this week. As you can see Aguero came out on top but only just. He carried the vote three votes to two over Mo Salah. Of course there is the chance that Pep will start Jesus over Kun but we believe that to be unlikely and a home game against Huddersfield is too good an opportunity to turn down.

You got your team sorted? I think I’ll keep it as it is and maybe use the extra ft later. I’m glad I picked the 7,5m city mid with KdB now injured. Genius move.

Hello guys..I had decided to play sensibly and “go with the flow” kind of game this season. But, i promise this shall be the last time I go a different route, if it doesn’t work.. Anyone else thinking of captaining Sanchez? Playing agianst Brighton and Lukaku shall be back too. What say?

    • 15.1

I don’t own Alexis, so hard to say. I have said that Alexis was terribly unlucky to not have a huge fpl day last week.
First he doesn’t take the penalty that even he expected to take and the huge miss from Lukaku that would gave him another assist. That’s 11 points right there he missed out on if you include the 3 bonus. However, I wasn’t in love with his non fantasy game, thought his passing was erratic and gave the ball away too much.

Hard to say, it might work. Last season United only scored 1 goal vs Brighton in 180 minutes. So I can see a case being made about not captining him also.

      • constantine says:

Thanks for the reply Mito. How are you? Yes all the points are correct. May be we can add one more assist that Mata had missed. That’d take him to 14 points then. May be then he’d have had his own bandwagon. Its just that I think Aguero is a risky pick and Salah might just score one. Since majority of the serious managers are making Kun their captain, it might be a bit logical to captain Sanchez. If Jose plays 3-5-2 and Sanchez plays a false no.-9, he might even get a goal or so. I think I’m just making a strong case just to get myself to captaining him. It might struck right, right?

      Kralin says:

I’m not a Sanchez owner so am not faced with the same issue.

It may not be a bad punt but I think I would captain a City player ahead of him; or Salah / Mane depending on which one you have.

    Hi All,
PRMT!! Please suggest if i should use one Free Transfer available and 0.5 ITB

    Hart(Patricio)

    kun-arnie-firminho

    Thank you.

      Kralin says:

I think you need more City in there so Sanchez could go for whoever your research guides you to.

Personally I”d bring in B Silva and then next week use your spare change to improve midfielder 3.

      GentleBenAKA says:

Lampard it looks good to me. Is strongly suggest you hold on to your free transfer, and see how GW2 goes. Then you have 2 free transfers and 0.5 in the bank. Who is your (C) and (VC)?

      • lampard9211 says:

        Thanks Kralin and GentleBenAKA,

my captain is Aguero and vc is salah.

        • Kralin says:

          Sounds fine to me.

Whether or not B Silva will out-point Sanchez this week we don’t know, obviously, but given the carnage that could happen against Huddersfield I think I’d be slightly worried about being so City thin.

        • AT says:

He isn’t that thin. Mendy and Kun (c) is effectively three players.

        • Kralin says:

So would owning 3 of their players then = 4 players, or 5? Sounds good to me, given their fixtures, the way they play etc.

Counter argument is of course why drop someone you’ve spent a lot of the summer planning for. And Sanchez is in no way a dud player.

All good stuff to chew over.

        • AT says:

4 if you captain one of them. I get it, and I’m concerned I don’t have 3 physical players, but I wouldn’t say two City players when you captain one is too thin. Then again, I had Robbo, Salah (c) and Mane last week, so maybe more is better!

        • GentleBenAKA says:

These are all valid points. It’s a toss up between giving your players another go so that you can see some semblance of form and have the flexibility of 2FTs next week, or max out on City who may annihilate Huddersfield. I presume you bought Sánchez for long term.

        • AT says:

This is the main reason I’m not committing, Ben. 2FTs gives me flexibility next week on City players.

      • Gavy says:

+1 I have ralls in my starting 11 too. His next match is as good as it will get for him

      Sterops says:

Morning Lampard – early doors but Mane looks irresistible and I would personally consider him instead of Sanchez..and here speaks a United supporter…comments elsewhere regarding City’s possible midfield permutations are all valid and pertinent – none of my mates who are City fans indeed a large share of FF players would not have foreseen Sterling starting for them last week..you pays your money..good luck.

      Kushan Samararatne says:

I suggest you hold the transfer mate… With many players coming back to teams after the world cup relaxing period some players like Luke Shaw might have competition for a starting birth. Also your team looks pretty decent and it is tough to say about players based on 1 week performances. Give it 1 more week and you would have greater flexibility with 2 transfers and 0.5 itb……

    HarryP says:

Morning guys, will be interesting too see what Pep says today re KDB (extent of injury) and possible thoughts on midfield in KDB’s absence. I currently have Bilva, after seeing CShield and Peps words after, but who will be beneficiary of KDB injury. Sane/Mahrez becomes starter out left, Sterling stays out right, with Bilva & Dilva / Gundogan behind Aguero, Fernandinho holding. That’s if they continue with 4-3-3. Or could Mahrez take on KDB role, leaving Sane as sole left side player? Or 3-5-2? Or? Or? Or?
