FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW3
Our game-week was ultimately personified by our last minute decision to change our captain from Aguero to Salah. Sure, Salah did ok, scoring 9pts on Monday night but once Kun had posted his 20pter we were relatively doomed. At least we owned Kun, plenty didn’t. We still scored ok, 74pts vs an average of 60 and it is only GW2. No need to panic, but I think we have learnt our lesson re JamieJacksongate!
Richarlison, Mendy and Robertson were again superstars, while Shaw contributed an assist despite United’s horror show at Brighton.
The rest of our motley crew were useless – Patricio, Eriksen, Cairney, King and Firmino should all be looking over their shoulders as our moody committee meets with two free transfers burning a hole in its pocket.
Last Week’s Result
What have we done this week?
Sold Eriksen & Shaw, Bought Mkhitaryan & Alonso
In last week’s article we highlighted that we would be keeping a close eye on both Cairney and King as neither impressed in GW1. Neither was impressive in GW2 but both have avoided the chop and start again this week. However, that’s enough about who we haven’t sold!
Christian Eriksen will probably feel hard done by when he learns that we have sold him this week. In fairness to him he’s played well in both games but FPL isn’t always about playing well. He has been overshadowed by Dele Alli and with Kieran Trippier scoring from a free kick last weekend it would appear as though the Viking is no longer automatic first choice when it comes to free kicks. Spurs have a tricky fixture list over the coming weeks starting with Monday night’s trip to Old Trafford when the bus is likely to be parked! Talking of fixtures, have you seen Arsenal’s? They’re just too good to ignore. Bringing a Gooner in was always in our thoughts and at £7.0m Mikhi seems to be too good to pass up. You have to assume that given their fixtures over the next eight game-weeks that Arsenal will be among the goals and we’re banking on the Armenian being heavily involved..
Luke Shaw has served us well with a goal & assist from his opening two games but it’s time to move on as Jose Mourinho will invariably do, sooner rather than later. With Antonio Valencia nearing a return we wouldn’t be surprised to see Ashley Young at left back with Shaw on the bench, although if we’re being honest we don’t have a clue what Jose will do.
We asked one of the management team, who is a United fan, if he felt Jose could start both Valencia and Young on Monday night. Here is his response, “Well there is a chance. He could also play 3 in the middle. No idea! Doubt he knows, the tw@t”. As most of you already know, we’re a very professional outfit! Replacing him with Marcos Alonso seemed like a no brainer. Talk of his demise under Sarri would appear to have been misfounded. For now. He’s the top scoring defender, his stats are impressive and Chelsea have an inviting fixture list over the coming four game-weeks.
The Team In Full…
>
Captain – Mo Salah
We’ve already addressed last weekends debacle in the intro, so we won’t get into it again!
Like last week it came down to Salah or Aguero, with Salah coming out on top this week. Both Liverpool and City will be expected to win comfortably but we’re banking on a home game against Brighton being slightly easier than a trip to Molineux.

Anyone else captaining Auba this week?
I don’t think there will be many, which doesnt mean it can’t be the best captain pick this week.
I am. unless I bottle it in the end. I think he’ll score a brace and West Ham play a high line and can’t defend. Falls into Auba’s strengths
I was planning to captain him since I saw that everyone is going for Salah I changed my mind.
I don’t own him but he’s not a bad choice at all. I think Salah and Kun could get more but the Arsenal West Ham game should be nice and attacking and open, so who knows? I’d half fancy Arnie, thinking about it.
how defense are wolves?
How defensive are Wolves
He needs to score two or three at least, however it remains to be determined where he will play on the pitch and even if he starts.
Apparently, workers at new Spurs kennel burst the mains water pipe on an upper floor & untold thousands of gallons went cascading down over the electricians working ‘live’ over several floors below, who promptly legged it, no one was hurt. It took 40 odd mins before they worked out how to stop the flow. Damage of this section of the stadium will take a couple of months to repair before the wiring can be done & then the safety systems, fans in the ground for testing purposes. Spurs do not currently have a completion date from the Main Contractor. This from my cousin who’s a surveyor working there.
A couple of months!
Projects like this are never ready on time so I don’t know why people expect them to be.
I think it’s the Man City game that is the problem game, Man City cannot play again at home, Wembley has NFL game and Twickenham has something on as well.
It should be held at the old Olympic stadium, a stadium built for the people!
Brisbane Road may be available.
They have known for ages, months that there is a high possibility of delays so a alternative should have been sourced for each game, it’s not Man City’s fault (the team that will have the first impact of the stadium not being ready) if it comes down to it have a panel decided the result and don’t play the game, Spurs forfeit the TV money for the game Man City receive what they would have received.
Fantasy Football points are given out across the board if it’s deemed a Man City win the goal keeper, defensive and midfield players get a clean sheet and the top scoring forward gets one goal, only none injured players score points, Spurs goalkeeper, defence, midfield and forwards all score points but have one goal against them, vice versa if it’s a Spurs win, if it’s deemed a draw then it’s a nil nil draw with the respective points given for a clean sheet.
I need botox!
Given that that game is two months away I expect they’ll have sorted something out; either that or we’ll have a Spurs Man City DGW at some stage.
I thought that they were cracking down and had put a stop to playing games close together, a few dates have already been ruled out I read somewhere for the Man City game, in respect to conflicts with Champions League and Cup games.
Yes I support Man City, but no matter what team I support, no other team should be put at any disadvantage due to Tottenham’s stadium issues, if any team has to suffer extra games in a short space of time them it (must) should be Tottenham’s themselves.
TeeHee at the comment by the management Man Utd representative.

1ft and 1.5m ITB
Bernardo Silva to Mkhitaryan
Or
Firmino to Aubameyang
Or
Roll the transfer
I’d keep F for the B&HA game. And Silva for WW. You’ll welcome having 2FT next week.
The first proposed change looks the safest option, but there is nothing to say Arsenal are going to score a hat full of goals, they have had two tough games but they really should have done better and yes even against Man City, I think they have a lot to prove, even for fantasy football reasons.
I dropped Aubameyang the other day I did consider Mkhitaryan but decided not to, I would not make any changes currently.
I would be thinking about King and Cairney really and your formation, 4-3-3, 4-4-2.
Terminators, kinda what I am thinking but worried I am short of Arsenal cover.
King to Ings is on the cards next week to raise some more funds to try and do Cairney to Pedro.
Then Bilva to Mkhi the week after perhaps.
Keep the transfer
Hi all,
Can I get a rmt please 1ft which I’d prefer to keep, want to start planning for kane in for king. Is my bench set up right?
For me its go to go
Good to go..damn keypad
Cheers
I agree, I would say that Eriksen is a concern though, he really needs to start getting some points, he has not been taking all the free-kicks recently and has seemingly been playing a bit further back, I had him the first two game weeks but have dropped him now, I would think about him before Kane myself.
Erikson will provide some of the funds required for Kane. King out and king out then Kane in keaves 3.7 itb. Any suggestions in how to increase that 3.7 to an amount that wull buy me a midfielder. Thanks
King out and Erikson out*
