This felt like a week when you either scored 70 odd and were happy with it or 40 odd and weren’t. And that all largely depended on whether you captained Aguero or not. We did the latter but somehow didn’t end up in the 70 camp. Probably because we had Pope, Soyuncu, Cantwell, Mount, Sterling, Pukki and Barnes all doing the sweet end of FA for us. A few noteables did show up, albeit briefly; Digne got an assist and somehow a bonus point, Zinchenko got a clean sheet and Salah got an assist. Although we were rather in the Mane camp of rage when we saw what Salah did and cost himself another sure fire assist near the end #greedyb@stard.
We ended up with 64 points, a meagre 7 above the actual overall average. We were actually a tad disappointed with it, having just deployed our wildcard, but we shouldn’t be too greedy having narrowly plumped for Kun over Sterling in the captaincy vote. It did mean a fair old jump up the rankings though, 20,000 places in fact and we now sit at 62,179th to be exact.

Going in to GW5 we have 1FT and £0.3m in the bank, so let’s go see what shenanigans this week’s meeting produced;
Our GW5 Transfer(s)
Having only just played our wildcard last week and with no apparent injuries to contend with it may come as little surprise that we have decided to roll our transfer and keep it for a rainy day. It may not make for the most terrifically entertaining of articles but in all honesty our team looks in decent shape for the week ahead and there is sufficient depth on the bench should we need it.
To confirm then we have HELD OUR TRANSFER
Captain – Mo Salah
The only real decision we had to make this week then was where to plant the armband. Essentially it was between Salah at home to Newcastle, albeit in the early game, or one of the City boys away at a fairly leaky Norwich. And it was Salah who took it with three votes with Kun and Sterling both grabbing one apiece.
Kun won the vice captain vote unanimously.

Hi all! It’s good to be back, these international breaks always seem far too long! How does this look for this week? I’ve got 0FT and 1.5 itb. Am looking to get Salah for Mane but not sure it’s worth a -4 this week! Anything major need doing?
Hi igy, do nothing, you’re all good. I’d maybe even consider even Lund or Pieters ahead of WB regardless of the flag but whatever.
Nice team though I’d play Lundstram instead of AWB personally.
Thanks Cookie and Init! I think you’re maybe right! I do like AWB but he hasn’t lived up to the potential of last season just yet! I’m a Utd supporter and I still don’t trust that defence!
Hi guys 2FT £0.4 ITB. Should i go ahead and downgrade Sterling to KDB in order to afford Kane to Aguero?
No! I’d be keeping Sterling come what may, I reckon he’s on for a ‘Salah’ this term. Kane could return well this week too.

Can I get some brutal advice on my WC team please?
The triple City attack is a gamble… but we all know they will always be near the top of the points pile. Does leave me a but thin everywhere else… but it’s a gamble I think I can try.
Quite easy to drop 1 and upgrade elsewhere later on.
Have 0.1m itb… best 4.6m def? To change Mings. Just think he could be around a few points though

PeterPan, you’re heavily reliant on no City rotation and it makes the defence very weak.
I’d maybe look at Aubameyang instead of Kun and upgrade around the traps.

Honestly played with dropping all of them and when I do I have a mild panick.

Captain Sterling or Salah? Right now I’ve got C on Sterling VC on Salah. I’ve got wrong captain and vice captain 4 out of 4 times so far.
Let us know which you decide on then. And we can all go the other.
Haha .. I’m on Sterling, unless someone gives a compelling reason for Salah over Sterling, it will stay on Sterling.
So probably you guys can go with Salah.
Probably quite fitting given that we are on the this particular article as a conduit then as the result there was Salah. I voted the opposite, the City way. I’d stay with that personally.

I am on a 4 out of 4 streak as well and have it on Salah ATM, so one of us will probably break the pattern! Or they will both blank :suicide:
