Greedy B@stards Camp
This felt like a week when you either scored 70 odd and were happy with it or 40 odd and weren’t. And that all largely depended on whether you captained Aguero or not. We did the latter but somehow didn’t end up in the 70 camp. Probably because we had Pope, Soyuncu, Cantwell, Mount, Sterling, Pukki and Barnes all doing the sweet end of FA for us. A few noteables did show up, albeit briefly; Digne got an assist and somehow a bonus point, Zinchenko got a clean sheet and Salah got an assist. Although we were rather in the Mane camp of rage when we saw what Salah did and cost himself another sure fire assist near the end #greedyb@stard.
We ended up with 64 points, a meagre 7 above the actual overall average. We were actually a tad disappointed with it, having just deployed our wildcard, but we shouldn’t be too greedy having narrowly plumped for Kun over Sterling in the captaincy vote. It did mean a fair old jump up the rankings though, 20,000 places in fact and we now sit at 62,179th to be exact.
Our GW4 Result…
Going in to GW5 we have 1FT and £0.3m in the bank, so let’s go see what shenanigans this week’s meeting produced;
Our GW5 Transfer(s)
Having only just played our wildcard last week and with no apparent injuries to contend with it may come as little surprise that we have decided to roll our transfer and keep it for a rainy day. It may not make for the most terrifically entertaining of articles but in all honesty our team looks in decent shape for the week ahead and there is sufficient depth on the bench should we need it.
To confirm then we have HELD OUR TRANSFER
Captain – Mo Salah
The only real decision we had to make this week then was where to plant the armband. Essentially it was between Salah at home to Newcastle, albeit in the early game, or one of the City boys away at a fairly leaky Norwich. And it was Salah who took it with three votes with Kun and Sterling both grabbing one apiece.
Kun won the vice captain vote unanimously.

Hi guys! I had a quick recap on the latest articles, good job as usual.
After two weeks of tinkering and over 10 screenshots of WC teams on my phone, I am desperately trying to convince myself that there is no need to worry. Therefore, I still have these same problems to solve.
Have a look at my team and give me some advice and/or constructive criticism. 1FT and 1.4 ITB, so I am thinking:
1) Perez to DSilva/James/Ceballos/other (no hit);
2) Perez and Jota to someone from aforementioned gentlemen + Barnes/Ayew (4 PH);
3) Same thing for Perez + AWB to Otamendi/someone else in that bracket (4 PH);
4) Perez and VVD to Son (I really want Son or KDB as I think they will both shine for the upcoming GWs, but can only stretch for Son) and Pieters/someone else in that bracket (4 PH);
5) WC.
Tornado – keep that WC put mate, no need for that. Jota may come good vs Chelsea. Sell deadwood Perez for his team mate Tielemans and you are sorted. Either that or save it and reassess next week with 2 FT. Very rarely a WC after an IB works out.
Thanks, DMC! I am definitely selling Perez cause his price is dropping rapidly and I need someone to play instead of AWB anyway.
Tielemans is in the mix, it’s just the two tough fixtures that steer me away from him as of now.
He’s that kind of player that can score / return in any game.. I really don’t think Utd keep a CS against them , I mean they couldn’t vs Palace. It’d also be a shrewd move going forward giving that you have no other Leicester.
If you want KDB or someone around that bracket (Son, Pepe) then I suggest you do save it and pray for Greenwood to play and then make such move next week as it probably warrants 3 transfers. Unless you go for option 4 but selling VVD at home to Newcastle for a hit is that kind of move that will bite you in the you know where.
Think ahead, stay positive, avoid hits after an IB. And get Youri
Thanks for taking the time, mate
My dear FF247 comrades,
How stupid is my WC team?
Last season this “midfield big guns” tactic got me sitting on 2200+ points, and I only did it after half season. Donno if it will work again.
i like it actually. main worry would have been matip but I can understand why he is on there
Like it. Nice to see something different. Not a fan of King. Has not done much this season. I think Wood may do better than him.
He was already there in my team, has a home fixure where he may grap an assist or a penalty. Still got 0.7 ITB and planning for pukki next wk.
Great team with Pukki next week
Guys,
What do you think about this WC team? To heavy in attack? Think auba and Agu are worth it, but open for suggestions!
Looks good. Staying away from PEA myself
Thanks ohyesali, any reason why you go without Auba?
That to me looks like you will be relying on two of Lundstram, Stephens or Cantwell every week. Is that right?
I think that’s a stretch to be honest.
You´re Right GP, i think Cantwell is okay to Play every week, so i would have one weak spot. Would you rather have Auba or Kun?
I think I’d drop Auba just for now – to see how Arsenal play without Lacazette – and you couldn’t honestly take a City player out just now could you?
BUT….. if you left Auba there and took Aguero out, could you bring KDB in and keep Sterling?
GP, i could do that.. Ideally Abraham instead of Barnes, but don´t know how to fit him in.
I have the big City three so naturally I support that. Barnes is very decent as well.
See what others think but that’s a winner for me.
Thanky for your help and suggestions!!
you´re also on WC?
No Magpies.
Just bought an additional City player.
Brave to go without with Salah, but I guess you know that 😉
Well there we go. I managed to get through the IB without hitting my WC and have now got 2FTs and 0.4itb to play with.
I’m thinking Jota + Ndidi -> Barnes + Noble . Is Noble a guaranteed starter? I could go with Barnes + Cantwell.
Would love some input.. Cheers guys
Just realised Barnes is fllagged . . . So no idea now. :dash:
Dyche said that he probably will be fine
Don’t trust the flags. Ever.
Any idea on whether Noble’s nailed?
I think he is.
Cheers pal
Good news for us Auba owners about Lacazette injury news I reckon. Hopefully play central now.
Good to go?
:yes:
Really clueless here. I got a plan, and that is to sell martial and robbo for kdb and söyüncü next week when i got 2ft’s. I could do it this week for a hit since there’s no reason to keep martial and KDB could be REALLY useful this week. But i don’t want to sell robbo ahead of Newcastle…
What to do?
1FT
0,1 itb…
Definitely a case to be made to take the -4 this week on that one Allan.
You have TAA so IMO you have the best FPL defender at Liverpool anyway and as you say, KDB could eat that -4 up in ten minutes today!
Sometimes the performance of one man in one week makes a -4 worth it regardless of the other 3 players involved in it. Soyuncu is a decent choice in himself. United are hardly outstanding and overall his run of games into December is largely excellent.
Stick to your plan and just play Cantwell this week.
Aaaah! Two different answers, was hoping for that this was an easy choice…
Söyüncü could also be peiters who has better fixtures but is maybe not as good pick in the long run…
GP has a point on KDB though.
Yes! Was hoping for that! Söyüncü or peiters? Player in better team vs fixtures?
I’d usually go for a full back over a centre half but I haven’t seen enough of Leicester to know whether this guy is a threat from set-pieces or not.
Last GW I did Moura and Robbo our for KDB and Soyuncu for a minus 4 and despite Robbo’s clean sheet I gained on the deal. I would be tempted to gob for it. A Burnley defender seems like a good bet though as you don’t have Pope and their fixtures are good.
It’s done now! Thanks guys!
Yeah I’d take the hit. Maybe it’s the optimism of attending a wedding today
Have fun, and don’t drink and make transfers!
