48 points in GW20 and six above the average. ‘Meh’ about covers it.
Our team did secure a green arrow in the overall rankings this week moving up to 1,141,741 from 1,201,188 – 59,447 places. Woo. Hoo.
We know, we know! “It’s a step in the right direction” / “It’s no red at least” / “The correct side of the average”. Etc. etc. But come on this is boring. We want big scores, flashy jumps. In essence, we want to be the hare not the tortoise!
Not looking at it forensically this week – but we had FOUR players with a solitary point in Alex McCarthy, Vlad Coufal, Paddy Bamford and Harry Kane so thank goodness for Gundogan, Antonio, Grealish, Chilwell and Dias for pulling their weight and doing the heavy lifting for the aforementioned rubber ducks.
If only we’d captained Gundogan but can’t honestly say it crossed anyone’s mind…..

Our GW21 Transfer(s)
Nobody in our number fancies Kane does a Lazarus and starts on Sunday and with not much value to be lost if we need to buy him back, we thought we would dip into the market for a new striker. This one was as quick a transfer decision as has been seen within FF247. Two minutes quick, in fact:

Captain – ILKAY GUNDOGAN
With three quickfire votes for the German (and one member temporarily abstaining due to recent personal form), this one too was quickly done and dusted. We like City’s fixture, the midfielder is in scoring form and ‘could/should’ be on penalty-taking duty.
If Pep peps us, then BRUNO FERNANDES will step up as vice captain.

Transferred out Kane for Watkins.
I somehow now have £7.9m itb.

Moving forward this is how my team stands as of now. 1FT 7.9 ITB.. am I GTG? Was thinking of bringing in Justin for Kilman and play him ahead of Mitchell? Or would you suggest I bring in DCL for Branford/Firmino ? Or Grealish/Madds for Soucek/Raphinia

Hey guys. How’s the prep going?
Got Diaz in for Lamptey (good riddance). Kane news is a bummer. Have no FT left. And don’t have any choice left other than to play 5-4-1 this week. How does the team look? Should I take a hit to remove Kane? Cheers guys.

Also have a lot of money tied up to him. Bought him at 10.6m. he’s 11.3 now.

I would think about Kane >> DCL, at home to Newcastle there’s a very good chance of him getting a return. If you play him over Dallas who’s unlikely to get a CS he could more than repay the -4, plus he has nice fixtures so a good option going forward.
A shame to lose the value on Kane but seems like he’s out for a few GWs at least (unless some more news emerges) and he’s way too expensive to keep on your bench

I’d back Kane to DCL. Consider a hit for a KWP to Digne or Chilwell also.

No return date but out for GW21. Taylor probably out too, so Coufal should come into team. Can’t see a CS for West Ham. Think Digne or Chilwell will pay itself off in GW21. Both have some decent fixtures up ahead and Digne has been playing left wing.
