48 points in GW20 and six above the average. ‘Meh’ about covers it.
Our team did secure a green arrow in the overall rankings this week moving up to 1,141,741 from 1,201,188 – 59,447 places. Woo. Hoo.
We know, we know! “It’s a step in the right direction” / “It’s no red at least” / “The correct side of the average”. Etc. etc. But come on this is boring. We want big scores, flashy jumps. In essence, we want to be the hare not the tortoise!
Not looking at it forensically this week – but we had FOUR players with a solitary point in Alex McCarthy, Vlad Coufal, Paddy Bamford and Harry Kane so thank goodness for Gundogan, Antonio, Grealish, Chilwell and Dias for pulling their weight and doing the heavy lifting for the aforementioned rubber ducks.
If only we’d captained Gundogan but can’t honestly say it crossed anyone’s mind…..

Nobody in our number fancies Kane does a Lazarus and starts on Sunday and with not much value to be lost if we need to buy him back, we thought we would dip into the market for a new striker. This one was as quick a transfer decision as has been seen within FF247. Two minutes quick, in fact:
To confirm then we have SOLD HARRY KANE and BOUGHT DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN
Captain – ILKAY GUNDOGAN
With three quickfire votes for the German (and one member temporarily abstaining due to recent personal form), this one too was quickly done and dusted. We like City’s fixture, the midfielder is in scoring form and ‘could/should’ be on penalty-taking duty.
If Pep peps us, then BRUNO FERNANDES will step up as vice captain.

Nice article as always. Interesting how y’all went with DCL over say Watkins. I’m leaning towards the other based on fixtures. Thoughts?
They are contractually obliged to have DCL in the team, whenever fit :rofl:

Had a decent few weeks hoping operation green arrow will continue in GW21.
Kane is my issue this week – should I just play it safe and go with DCL? I have 5.2 ITB.
I could also move ESR onto either Son or mane for a -4 just means benching Soucek or Bamford
Thoughts?
Yeah I think you should just do the Kane to DCL move… Everton do have decent fixtures! I’m even thinking about selling Bamford to DCL my self…

Risky getting Son at this point. Kane and him had a pretty good partnership going on. Could go both ways.
I don’t think it’s risky getting Son at all. He will become the most likely person to score

Here are the transfers I have thought about:
Salah->Mane/Sterling
Zouma/KWP->Stones/Cancelo/Dias
or both for a 4ph, which i would ideally not like to do as losing ground on the leaders (although i know there is still time to make it up.
Plus I know bringing in Jesus was a bad move last week, but hey, it might pay off this week…lol
Also, any other tinkering on the team/captain choice much appreciated :good:
Salah was unlucky against spurs, he played pretty well so I would keep him. Cancelo seems like a must have at this point. He has finally got a much deserved goal looking at how much time he spends in the opposition box. I’m even thinking of captaining him instead of gundogan :big_boss:
I wouldn’t ship Salah for a hit. Actually, I wouldn’t ship him at all

Good call GP. What about KWP->Cancelo and bench Bamford? or just do Zouma->Cancelo and play Bamford etc.
I’m just unsure of Chelsea with the new manager and who he’ll use.

Would you play Romeo over Bamford? Or not, seeing as he has just come back from illness/injury, and taking into account Bamford could always snatch a goal.
