Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW22
Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?!
What a week (finally). We finally managed to play Targett and benefitted from him and luckily warded off a late Friday steer towards bringing in Joao Cancelo for a hit. We were close.
We scored 73 points and a cool 25 above average having made only a single transfer, which sadly itself didn’t reap instant rewards with our Kane replacement, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, being hampered by a bit of an all-round disappointing Everton performance.
One of those weeks where all of our defenders returned. Ruben Dias (8, inc. 2 bonus) and Targett (6) with clean sheets and Stuart Dallas (7). The Northern Irishman scoring his side’s equaliser against Leicester. McCarthy in goal got 3.
Gundogan as captain (6) was a bit of a let-down, as was Bruno Fernandes (3) at Arsenal. Jack Grealish with his assist scored us 6 and Mohamed Salah finally returned with 15 points in the Sunday game at West Ham and will no doubt be given the armband this coming week. (spoiler alert?)
That leaves only two strikers to talk about. They got 17 points between them! That’s good but Antonio only supplied two of those so thank goodness for Patrick Bamford (15). What a legend!
A jump of over 260,000 places brings us to 879,770 which we are more than happy with.
Told you we wanted to be the hare!
Our GW21 Result…
Let’s go see what was decided with 1 free transfer and £4.4m ITB…
Our GW21 Transfer(s)
Chilwell to Cancelo was proposed, but little else was. Seems that we are fairly happy with our set up for this week, the odd move aside. Looking at Man city’s upcoming fixtures after this week (Liverpool, Spurs, Aresnal, West Ham & Man United) we decided that one of their defenders may be enough.
As such we have decided to hold the transfer and carry two through into the weekend with a luxury bank to match. That should be an interesting team meeting…
To confirm then we have HELD our transfer
Captain – Salah
Bang in form, and explosive to boot, need we say more.
Bruno will wear it if Klopp happens to disagree, which he won’t.

Worth a hit to do Brewster >> Antonio and Soucek >> Burke? Have the exact change, won’t be able to afford it after Antonio rises tonight and don’t see any clear way to get him in otherwise. Feel like he’s been unlucky not to get more points, always nervous about him since my ML rivals have him. Would change formation from 3-5-2 to 3-4-3
Not for me Veer.
Laca to Antonio is sufficient.
Jamie
Thanks Jamie, actually hadn’t considered that since I just got Laca last GW
A -4 involving two Sheffield United players one of which will stay with you?
It’s a ‘no’ from me.
Well if you put it like that :big-lol:
It’s essentially a -4 for Soucek >> Antonio, with one bench fodder being switched to another in the background. Though I guess that would be a bit of a sideways move, Soucek did score two goals the GW before. On the other hand it could pay off instantly if Antonio returns and Soucek blanks
Hey guys, Would you start Holding against Wol or Coufal against Villa? Current team below. Thanks
When I’m struggling to decide on a defender I like to look at the bookies’ odds. Arsenal’s CS odds are significantly better than West Ham’s, so I’d go with Holding. Obviously this doesn’t take into account possible attacking returns.
I’d play Holding, Arsenal have 5 CS in their last 6 and are in good form
Maddison or Grealish?
Maddison.
What would you do with this team. I for sure don’t know.
1ft 1 mib – Thanks mate.
Kane for Watkins? I also have Son and not sure what to do with him.
Grealish
Who do you think is the best option for Kane’s replacement in my team? No one appealing on the market ring now…
Nope…no one appealing. I still have Kane too, but may get rid of Son fir Maddison or Grealish today.
Kane might miss the next 3 maybe even more
Yeah, I do want to sell him it’s just that I genuinely don’t see a good alternative. If Vardy was fit, it’d have been an easy decision…
I am tempted to bench him again and play Cresswell but I have to move him eventually, I might as well do it now while I don’t have any other pressing issues. Just don’t know for whom…
Well, you need cover him so Watkins or Bamford spring to mind. Ings is out there as well, as is Firmino. You’ve plenty of choice.
Just make a plan to get him back as/when.
Cheers Kralin!
Watkins is not for me. Speaking of Villa, though, I want Grealish but my midfield is a bit stacked ATM.
I guess I can jump on the Bamford train, as not having him hurt me on multiple occasions (including this past GW), but I noticed he’s flagged. Is he confirmed fit?
He said it was just a dead leg so he should be fine.
Cheers, init!
Re: Ings is a good option but I want him to build a bit of momentum before I get him. Also, he plays against United this week, so I simply cannot do this to myself.
Firmino might be a good option but since I have Salah I kinda feel that Pool is covered (for now).
I started thinking about Laca and Cavani…can you imagine my desperation?!
