Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?!

What a week (finally). We finally managed to play Targett and benefitted from him and luckily warded off a late Friday steer towards bringing in Joao Cancelo for a hit. We were close.

We scored 73 points and a cool 25 above average having made only a single transfer, which sadly itself didn’t reap instant rewards with our Kane replacement, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, being hampered by a bit of an all-round disappointing Everton performance.

One of those weeks where all of our defenders returned. Ruben Dias (8, inc. 2 bonus) and Targett (6) with clean sheets and Stuart Dallas (7). The Northern Irishman scoring his side’s equaliser against Leicester. McCarthy in goal got 3.

Gundogan as captain (6) was a bit of a let-down, as was Bruno Fernandes (3) at Arsenal. Jack Grealish with his assist scored us 6 and Mohamed Salah finally returned with 15 points in the Sunday game at West Ham and will no doubt be given the armband this coming week. (spoiler alert?)

That leaves only two strikers to talk about. They got 17 points between them! That’s good but Antonio only supplied two of those so thank goodness for Patrick Bamford (15). What a legend!

A jump of over 260,000 places brings us to 879,770 which we are more than happy with.

Our GW21 Transfer(s)

Chilwell to Cancelo was proposed, but little else was. Seems that we are fairly happy with our set up for this week, the odd move aside. Looking at Man city’s upcoming fixtures after this week (Liverpool, Spurs, Aresnal, West Ham & Man United) we decided that one of their defenders may be enough.

As such we have decided to hold the transfer and carry two through into the weekend with a luxury bank to match. That should be an interesting team meeting…

To confirm then we have HELD our transfer

Captain – Salah
Bang in form, and explosive to boot, need we say more.

Bruno will wear it if Klopp happens to disagree, which he won’t.

    Thanks to bees, Smash, Init and Kralin for their inputs on my previous post. Still undecided, though…

    Anyone around with some wise ideas (1FT, 1.2M ITB)?

    • Adams to Watkins and play him?

      • That’s actually not a bad shout! Thanks GP! I think Watkins is a bit of hit & miss (from what I’ve seen), should I go for Bamford instead (as he is in every team in ML as well)? What to you reckon?

        • I have both so I can’t argue either way.

          I saw a start earlier that Watkins has had more shots on goal in home games than anyone else in the league this season.

        • Wow, that’s insane considering the fact he’s scored 5 goals at home and more of half of them (3) were in THAT game against Liverpool.
          Either way, I wanted to get rid of Adams for a while now, so I just need to find a good replacement (Bamford, Wilson and Watkins).

        • All three of those are good in all honesty.

  2. Got a feeling it’s Dias turn for a rest in preparation for the Liverpool game.

  3. Can I get some feedback on my team? I have 1 FT but not really enthused by any Kane replacements so thinking to just bank this week.

  4. Apologies for posting again but did not get much feedback. Save FT? Sterling cappo anyone? Bench order?

    • Save the FT, team is good. For captain Salah will be the ‘safer’ choice as more people will go for him while sterling could see you fly up the ranks if he gets points, depends if you want to gamble or not

    • Yep, save. I wouldn’t like to influence the Capo choice other than to say it’d be him or Salah for me.

  5. Worth just rolling with this lot and saving the FT then? I can’t really see too many upgrades that stand out massively!

    • Save I reckon.

    • Chilwell presents a problem if Tuchel sticks with Alonso but you have bench cover which is fine.

      Like the idea of rolling the transfer over.

      • Yeah monitoring the Chilwell situation! Will be out if he isn’t getting game time! Think I’ll save this week!

      • I have been fighting fires with injuries to KDB,then Kane and now Tierney has an unknown return date.
        Looking at Holding and Rudiger to replace him. Tuchel seems to like Rudiger and is getting the defence sorted. 3 clean sheets out of 4 since he came back seems good to me,but is he nailed,as Holding would seem to be?

  6. Hi all. Am I all set? Obviously taking a gamble with Mahrez as captain but I need to try and start climbing up my mini leagues
