FF247 FPL Team GW7
We go again…
In what was undoubtedly a quiet week all round we scored 43 points in total, which was further damned by the -4 points hit we took to bring in Ezri Konsa (and Mohamed Salah).
So in a week where the average score of 48 meant that anything like 60-70 points was somehow doubly good, we don’t have to concern ourselves with that. We just sit here and reflect that Salah had a goal ruled out for offside (correctly, we don’t pedal anti-VAR nonsense here) and had one off the post to grab us 4 points as Captain whilst Sadio Mane got 8 (which would have been 16!)
We’ve said it from the start… MANE IS MORE EXPLOSIVE! (Slight in-joke, but see last weeks article for reference).
The rest of the team then: the aforementioned Konsa conceded three and along with ‘defensive’ mates; Mat Ryan, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Tyrick Mitchell they scored 7 whole points between them.
Alex McCarthy of Southampton (who we’ve always said is more explosive than Mat Ryan), laughs at us with his 6 points.
Three clean sheets in midfield however – where you don’t really want them – as Saint-Maximin, Son and Bruno all kept out their opponents. Sonny Boy scored against Burnley on Monday and with 11 points accounted for over a quarter of our total points!
A welcome sight was Wolves 1-1 Newcastle on Sunday as in that game two of our strikers combined to provide an assist (Callum Wilson) and a goal and three bonus points (Raul Jimenez).
DCL managed just one point on a day that will surely not make it onto the highlights reel in the ‘Everton FC – Champions 2020/21’ DVD.
43 points then and a drop to 1,942,808 in the Overall Rankings. We go again.
Our GW6 result in full:
Let’s go see what was decided… other than drowning our sorrows.
Our Gameweek 7 Transfer(s)
We come to this gameweek with 1 Free Transfer and 0.7mln in the bank.
Unanimously, nothing. We voted to roll the transfer and review next week with 2FT’s to hand. Originally we had planned to ‘sort Max out’ (not in a Phil Mitchell way) but with The Champions Elect Everton looking a bit shaky and shorn of a few defensive assets he gets a one week pardon.
The main two – Salah and Son – unsurprisingly dominated the captain discussion. With 4 votes to one with one abstaining (or being too busy to vote, we’re not quite sure), the armband goes to *drumroll*
Son at home to Brighton! In the case something happens to the Korean, Salah picks up the duties with the VC.
To confirm then we have SAVED THIS WEEK’S TRANSFER
Captain – SON
Vice Captain – SALAH

Hi guys,
Which one do you recommend?
1. Team is good to go
2. Podence to Zaha
3. Mitro to Bamford
Have 1FT 2.3ITB
1 this week and 2 next week (if there aren’t any issues to be dealt with).
Cheers Tornado. Will carry FT to next Gw
Hey!
1 FT & 3.2M ITB. Any advice here?
Team looks good to go for me this GW & have 2FT next GW
You could do Barnes – Zaha
Thanks, Ripcurl82! This is one of the scenarios that I am considering. Ideally, I’d like to have Zaha and MU cover (Bruno/Rashford) instead of Barnes and Podence but I am slightly out of reach.
Barnes to Bruno or Rashford
Would Grealish make a good J Rod replacement? or anyone other suggestions as I already have Zaha.
Thanks
He is about the best like for like replacement (cash wise) I think
Thanks
Like 2 like Grealish is the best. But you have to think long term. Who do you think will score more points in the long run. Since you have guaranteed starters in the bench think about it..
Hi guys – hope all are well!
With the James injury, it looks like I will have to make a -4 (already used my free transfer) as my bench is poor.
What would you advise – selling James for a decent mid (Barnes, Grealish, Zaha etc.) or selling Dunne for a cheap playing defender (KWP, Target etc.)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
elcfc, I wouldn’t worry about Dunne right now as the defence you have is perfect for this week. Just get Grealish and have a bit of cash for next week.
Cheers Ivan! The thinking behind Dunne was just a way to get 11 players whilst keeping James long term. Just wary of having potentially no starting subs
That is true but we don’t know if he will be fully recovered by next week, and it’s vs Man United, then is the international break. It looks like CS are scarce this season, so make mids and strikers priority.
Looking at James photos he looks in quite a bit of pain still. It’s not funny having a boot between the legs
If you are going for a hit then that person needs to outscore Jrod by 4 points min for the move to be validated if you are looking short term. And CS seems very random this season so far so it’s hard to think who to put. If you feel like taking a risk I’d say get rid of Dunne to Kilman or a sure 4.5 starter. Or Stephens to Romeu from SOU. Sure starter and will give min 2 points. lucky if Saints keep a CS so he gets 3. Very lucky if he does anything besides that.
I am warming to Grealish – he should score more than 4 points more than James with the fixtures he has ahead of him!
Then go ahead mate. If you think in the long run it’ll be better, and he will score more than 4 points this week, then go ahead. Sometimes it is about taking a risk.
hey guys,
Not had a chance to look at FPL all week. Got 1FT and 2.6 ITB. I saw the Rodriguez news, I’m not sure I want to sell him if it’s only one week off. Considering 3/4 of his next fixtures are good on paper.
My bench players aren’t too great, any suggestions? I thought kilman for Douglas looks good, but I have no clue whether he has cemented his spot. Anything else I can do?
For starters, you can post a picture of your team :laugh2:
The Kilman move sounds good without any other context.
oops I just gave context :p
with 2.6 itb, I’m sure you can afford a sure starter of 4.5 in def. Go for someone like KWP from saints or a Burnley lad. So even if JRod doesn’t play you will have a substitute ready.
Burnley fixtures aren’t good, they’re usually my go to team for a cheap defender. Can’t go for KWP as I already have McCarthy
Wow I really thought I attached the ss lol. Here’s the team
Kunal
Roll the transfer. Bissouma could put a rocket in.
haha doubt it but I don’t like any options for this week. While I have a couple in mind for next week so banking the transfer. So yeah, hoping for a Bissouma rocket then xD Cheers GP
Will Foden or Ziyech start?
Usually yes.
