Well, that happened….
We bring you our final Site Team article of the 2022/23 season where we take a look at how it all ended for the overlords. ‘Poorly with a green arrow’ in just four words.
We have ended the season with a game week score of 49 – a mere nine points above the average – and an overall final points total of 2,465.
This leaves us 297,085 overall in the ranks at season’s end. This is our WORST-ever ranking in the nine years FF247 have been playing as a Site Team. And worst by just over 44 thousand places. Ouch.
We will let the image do most of the talking because, well, there’s not much talking to do. We thank Gabriel Jesus (12), then Mohamed Salah (10, C), moving onto Ollie Watkins (9) and lastly Bukayo Saka (6). The rest can hit the showers – they’re cut.

May we take this opportunity to welcome MattX to the Site Team Committee. We are sure he will prove to be a great sounding board for us, a logical thinker, very switched on with matters of FPL, he’s hard-working, forthright in his opinions, friendly and accommodating. And it is because of all these fantastic qualities that we have the pleasure to offer him the title of “Fall Guy”. Go well, Matt!
Lastly, we would personally like to say thank you and goodbye to Kop Warrior who is stepping away from the committee and will concentrate on his own team, writing the odd article and trying to contribute on-site when possible.

Hey there, am in the process of getting started and will proceed to register in the comp before the 1st day’s play tomorrow. Have gone in eyes closed and scooped up players I like, but found I should put a few Poms in as well! So hard to be impartial, but just thinking what happens if England actually do alright, at least in the first test! Hahaha, my banter will last only as long as the taking of the first Aussie wicket! Cheerio everyone and good luck!

Luckily I have Usman as a POD. Not gonna do too much for me overall though, but might just save my team in some minor fashion. Cheers – Stokesie had them performing really well!
À funny old game to be honest. I’ve inadvertently got in 7 Aussies & 4 Poms, and I see Initt has the exact opposite! Ruing not having Roots early doors (Don’t anyone make any dubious allusions here!) but just like Test Cricket itself, it’s a marathon not a sprint – although I have been left pretty far back in the initial stages! Why do they persist in having test matches in this country when they know it’s going to rain at some point! Playing for a draw – who does it really benefit?? ? Hahaha.

Hammerfan, tomorrow 9 AM the EPL fixtures will be released. I expect the FPL will start updating the site and hopefully in 2-3 weeks we could be able to start drafting

Vincent vs Pep! Should be a nice match to watch – get a couple of Burnley players for the start of the season! City’ll be underdone after a rest period like that!
Chelsea vs Liverpool will be interesting. Both had a terrible season for their standards
