FF247 Site Team Game-week 3 FPL Tips
Welcome to the FF247 Site Team Game-week 3 FPL Tips article. A quick revisit to GW2 and we had a decent week scoring 71 points, which was predominantly due to our forwards’ performances – Andre Gray, Zlatan and Captain Kun all did the business with Antonio Valencia’s clean sheet our only other real contribution – sadly we left Gareth McAuley on the bench! Bizarrely, despite beating the average score of 57, we still saw red arrows, but we are well used to them by now, so all is good. Our rank is 46,697 which we are pleased with and we have two free transfers to waste.
Transfer decision: we have sold Roberto Firmino and bought Ross Barkley and held a transfer.
So Firmino has gone for his Merseyside counterpart, who has begun the season with a goal and an assist, seems to be enjoying life under Ronald Koeman and Everton’s fixtures now look promising on paper which we have probably just jinxed for them. Firmino can consider himself slightly unlucky to be given just two matches but with Andre Gray facing a potential ban we felt it wise to raise a bit of cash in case we need to replace Gray soon.
Our captain is Sergio Aguero and vice-captain is Zlatan Ibrahimovic
How one splits them we don’t know, both are great choices for this week and indeed most weeks. We have gone with the home player, Aguero, who has scored in eight of his last nine league matches and loves to score at the Etihad.
The only other decision we had to make was whether to play Pape Souare or Gareth McAuley – we plumped for Souare purely on the grounds that we have Ben Foster in goal and weren’t keen on doubling up on West Brom.

any suggestion?
Looks good to go Robin, unless we hear bad news of Gray today.
worry coz no Everton cover …
Firmino to Barkley?
think he will Cookie? If he has until Wednesday to respond to the charges, it would not seem prudent for him to concede them the day before a game, would it?
AT, i’m amazed the club or player hasn’t already responded to the charges and get any ban out of the way. If they were quick enough a potential one-match ban could of been served in the League Cup in the week, so maybe they are contesting the charges.
I guess it’s now a case of what and see – I don’t know if we will hear today or not.
Cookie, so am I but I feel they have committed to a post-weekend ‘strategy’, for want of a better word.
To your comments below – Barkley it is then. Thanks for your help, as always!
I agree AT – we have to assume at this stage that Gray will play at Chelsea.
Robin, I would be worried without ManU coverage. Fixtures and form seem to demand a defender and an attacker :/
Hi,
Have been a fan of the site for some time now, but this is actually my first post.
I’m torn this week. Went with Deulofeu from the get go because og his good preseason, Coeman and all, but he has failed miserably in producing anything for me. When you ad the fact that he is being subbed round 60 every game – I have my finger on the transfer button to say the least. My question is who to go for? I like Everton’s coming fixtures, would i t be wise to just straight up swap for Bolasie or Mirallas, if so who? Other suggestions are also appreciated.
Hope to reap a gw winning choice from this well of knowledge.
Hey Victor, welcome to the site!
Deulofeu is a baffling one for sure – normally looks so good, puffs people into buying him and then fails to produce like he did previously! Ultimately, I think he benfitted from Lukaku not being around in preseason which tempted people to buy him – he’s now competing with Bolasie, Mirallas and Lennon and in that regard gametime is the issue. Longer term I would preder Bolasie given that Everton have forked out 30mln quid for him, but you may get away with Deulofeu for one more week.
Cookie, what’s your take on Bolasie/Mirallas/Lennon/Deulofeu – who will get the nod? Will any of them be ‘starters’? Never been able to understand why Mirallas is overlooked. He always produces.
AT, morning – I’m probably not the best qualified to answer but will give you my thoughts.
Lennon is the least likely to play in my opinion. Regarding Bolasie, Mirallas and Deulofeu I think we will see rotation, but I would be amazed if Bolasie doesn’t start the majority of matches after the cash they have paid for him.
They are all fairly inconsistent performers in my opinion so I assume they will be picked on form. Bolasie and Lukaku are good buddies I believe so if they can create a good relationship on the field we may see exciting things from those two.
Cheers Cookie. So for now, would you play it safe with Barkley?
without doubt AT, if affordable.
Good morning has everyone off loaded Townsend his price goes down tonight not good news, pissed off 😉
Sorry to hear it mate.
It’s definitely a game of highs and lows
Yeah it’s not ideal Silvers. I’m keeping the faith for a little longer after I saw he had put more crosses into the box than anyone else so far. Palace have obviously been lacking the quality to convert those chances but you’d expect that to change with Benteke in the coming weeks… great fixtures for the next 4 weeks as well!
Cheers James & Milburn been a bit busy later haven’t got on much still trying to keep one eye on the site 😉
Anyone heard any news on coutinho?
probs best off waiting for the press conference today mate
Ben Dinnery’s twitter:
‘Coutinho could miss the trip to WHL: “The [hamstring] is a little stiff,” Klopp said. “We didn’t want to take a risk [vs Burton].”‘
‘”We have to make a decision on Friday,” said Klopp. “It is not a situation to take any risk. We have to talk to [Coutinho].”‘
Thanks !
Mannone out for 3 months minimum? Pickford could be a good option at £4m once Sunderland’s fixtures turn favourable.
