FF247 Site Team Game-week 7 FPL Tips
Welcome to the FF247 Site Team Game-week 7 FPL Tips article. Can we wildcard every week? Playing our wildcard last week certainly had the desired short-term effect, hopefully it also pays dividends over the coming game-weeks! We picked up 67pts which was 22pts above the average and this saw us jump back up from a rank of 262,127 to 91,692. The standout performers were undoubtedly Sergio Aguero, whom we had captained, and Alexis Sanchez. Elsewhere we had contributions from Petr Cech, Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford. Having brought Etienne Capoue in on our wildcard and more significantly as our 4th midfielder he blanked for just the 2nd time this season. We were not impressed. Yet again we were trolled by Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian had picked up 29pts over the previous two game-weeks but just like Capoue he picked up a whopping 2pts. Our defence let us down but between them they have some decent fixtures over the coming weeks so we should see some returns. Hopefully! On the whole we are happy with how things panned out and we move on with great expectations.

Just a bit of housekeeping before we continue. We know many people log in to check on Cookie’s team news article on a Friday. You may need to check this out! Around the Grounds GW7 update – Twins Special! We will be posting updates from the press conferences on the comments section in that one throughout the day.
TRANSFER DECISION THIS WEEK
Having just played our wildcard we have perhaps unsurprisingly decided not to make a transfer this week. The only potential transfer we discussed was the possibility of bringing in an Arsenal defender and doubling up ahead of a run of four enticing fixtures. However we were £0.1 short of bringing in either Nacho Monreal or Shkodran Mustafi for Kyle Walker. To be honest not being in a position to make the transfer may turn out to be a bonus as after all Spurs do have the league’s best defence. By not making a transfer this week we will now be in a position where we have 2 FT’s following the international break which is always advantageous.

THE TEAM IN FULL FOR GW7 –
[divider_1px_dashed]
Our captain is Alexis Sanchez and our vice-captain is Sergio Aguero
With three votes Alexis Sanchez was the democratic choice this week. There was a vote for Lukaku but there are suspicions that someone was just trying to be difficult! There was also a ‘late’ vote for Rashford. Given not only his own personal form but also Arsenal’s recent form too it was difficult to look past the Chilean this week. Leading the line with great aplomb and with the likes of Walcott, Ozil & Iwobi all coming into form we see him having plenty of opportunities on Sunday afternoon. It might surprise some of you to hear that a certain Sergio Aguero did not get a single vote this week but it was perhaps felt that as he faces the league’s best defence that this may be the week to overlook him for the armband. This decision could of course leave us with egg on our faces!

Reposting in a more updated thread!
I’ve decided to save my FT with 0 ITB. I’m playing catch up in my league and so would appreciate some advice for my captain choice. You guys reckon if it’s too risky to captain a Liverpool player? If so, any alternatives?
Adrian
Evans Prodl Williams
Ozil Mane Firmino (C) Antonio Sterling
LKK Aguero
Pickford Diomande Amat Pieters
I also have firmino but a little concerned about him
seen some pretty interesting starts that he doesn’t do as well when coutinho plays as well….
I would captain a Liverpool player the question is which one!
aguero or lukaku. captaining a liverpool player is risky, you never know who’ll be the unlucky one but of course if you want to you can go with your gut!
out of those i’d feel more at ease putting in on Kun
Thanks for all the help lads. Separate question now… Would you use 1 FT to change Sterling to Walcott? Has been on my mind the entire week! It frees up extra funds that allow me to improve on my defence in the weeks to come!
Neo
I wouldn’t take Sterling out for anyone. His finishing against Swansea and Celtic was superb. Red hot just now.
Posted on old thread…
What am I supposed to do with this crap???
Fer & Sturridge -> Fletcher & Ibra (-4)
Or
Same out for Coutinho & Rashford
Or
Sturridge & Kings -> Rashford & Bellerin
Or something else?
I think you need Liverpool cover Pancho, so bringing in Coutinho and Rashford makes the most sense to me
Neo, I’m a little hesitant to take a hit just to get the same coverage most already have. The hit won’t be made up. Does this logic work?
I see your point Pancho but in this case, you would be bringing in key players who, otherwise, would be increasing the gap between you and your competitors. For instance, I’m not sure if Sturridge would start tomorrow whilst its likely that the likes Firmino/Coutinho/Mane will get some points.
The hits won’t exactly be made up but sticking with this team won’t help you either. Perhaps you can consider captaining a non-typical player to make up some points this week?
Take a hit
Pancho
I would take Antonio out for Lallana then ship Sturridge out after the IB.
Thanks Neo, Mitro, and GP!
Neo, you’ve got me convinced to take a hit. Now which one? I hate to have cash tied up in Ibra as he has tough away games the next two, but Stoke could be a sweet score! But if I do Rash and Coutinho then I can do AOA and not worry about whether Shaw plays or not. I do like the idea of Bellerin as a differential though :/
who do i bench between these players if i had to choose one?
capoue,barkley,antonio,benteke
Tayble you have AOA chip still? If you do then I’d play it. Otherwise I’d say flip a 4-sided coin :/
for me it’s Barkley
Antonio or Mata? I have Antonio and I am considering Mata. The form of both players is very good and the fixtures are both favourable but West Ham of late are having their mini crisis.. what do you think? I also have a weak link in a city defender, I just cant trust them anymore
hi Starfox,
i’d stick with Antonio. Mata is still a question mark in the United attack imo. + after Stoke, Mata will have Chelsea and Pool away..
best arsenal defence cover?
kosc or bellerin?
Bellerin, if you can afford him
Lol, I was about to type the exact same 5 words!
i’m your speaking-tube init
btw it’s 6 words
So it is!
samsam
I would get Bellerin if you have the extra cash to hand.
thanks guys! bellerin it is!
