FF247 Site Team News GW38
With friends like Romero…
Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW38
We’ve finally made it to the end of what has been a long, bruising, occasionally soul-destroying season. Just when we all thought we’d finally cracked this game, the powers that be decided to throw the rulebook in the bin and “freshen things up“.
Our annual chip allocation was doubled, defensive contributions were tossed into the mix, and the FA Cup suddenly decided it was the main character, reducing the traditional doubles and blanks we’ve all spent years planning around. Safe to say, it’s been… interesting.
Patience has always been one of the great FPL virtues. Early in the season there were managers proudly rolling all the way to five transfers — some were rewarded handsomely, others looked like they’d accidentally forgotten to log in. Then AFCON rolled around and the game casually handed everyone another five transfers for good measure. Some said it was too much, others welcomed them like long-lost relatives arriving with beer.
While plenty of managers adapted and thrived, we once again found ourselves stubbornly lagging behind. The patient approach that served us so well in years gone by just doesn’t seem to work anymore. Last season was our worst in recent memory, and this season looks set to improve on it only marginally. The glory days of site members desperately refreshing the page waiting for our weekly article so they could be “inspired by” (absolutely copy) our picks are long gone. Don’t worry about the little copycats though — Hub, Review, FPL Harry and Let’s Talk FPL have them well covered these days. Hell, even Big Man will sort you out… for a modest monthly fee, naturally.
Our Gameweek 37 Result
Anyway, enough bitterness. The penultimate gameweekactually went rather well for us. Our transfers of Saka and Gabriel the previous week once again paid off nicely, and when you add in a captain return plus a monstrous 11-pointer from our keeper, we somehow ended up 13 points above the average. Quite how we managed 66pts despite six of our eleven blanking remains something of a mystery. We’re certainly not asking questions.
Most importantly, we had enough left in the tank to secure a much-needed green arrow and sneak our way back inside the top 1 million. Not exactly a triumphant parade, but given how this season has gone, we’ll absolutely take it.

We have 0.7m in the bank and 2 free transfer to use ahead of GW38. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our GW38 Transfer(s)
We wanted to go with players that have something to play for in our final weekend. Pedro is carrying a knock and Bowen needs to win so that was an easy swap for us to make.
As for Saka and his replacement we had a bit more of a discussion. Summerville was mentioned to go with Bowen. Palmer who might be fired up after his WC snub. Szobo for the Salah/Robbo swansong but we ended up going with a man in form. MGW! Another player who has been brutally snubbed by Tuchel. Gibbs White will get our final roll of the dice this season.
To confirm then we have SOLD Pedro and Saka and BOUGHT Bowen and MGW
Captain – Haaland

That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

We are swinging for the fences in the final gameweek of the season. Do you think we’ll get a home run or strike out?

I have won my ML. I am 103 points ahead so can afford to go and.
Thinking Gyokeres to Bowen.
Shall I go Saka to Summerville in the hope that they can keep us Hammers in the premier league?
I did consider bringing a spurs player in, or is that wrong?
