FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW12

Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW12

We’ve made our bed and now we’re going to lie in it

We entered GW11 with 2 free transfers and we exited GW11 with 2 free transfers. Did we also mention we still have our Wildcard? And here we are once more sitting in the exact same spot. Our loose plan for a few weeks now was to come out swinging in GW13 with our WC in play and whilst our team is crawling towards midweek looking battered and bruised, we’re sticking to the plan. Even if the plan isn’t exactly what we hoped it would be.

Our GW11 Result…

So, how did we do? Pretty rubbish if truth be told! We scored a meagre 37pts, and whilst new boy Matt Doherty did the business with 6pts, he was one of only 3 players to do so: Mitrovic (7pts) and Trippier (6pts) the only other players to score more than 3pts across our 11. To make matters worse we benched 22pts with Dalot and his 9pts mocking us from the first spot on our bench. Ouch.

The game week average was 46pts, falling 9pts shy of that means we’re on a red arrow, dropping from 764,145 back down to 6 digits (1,089,326). Last week’s claim that ‘we’re doing ok’ feels a little premature. We cool though.

We have £1.8 in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of GW12. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW12 Transfer(s)

James Maddison – what a plonker. Just when we think we can use our 2 free transfers to casually stroll into GW12 with a full 11, up pops Maddison to ruin ours and many FPL manager’s days (game week) with a yellow card, for diving no less, in the final bloody minute. So FPL.

So, we find ourselves down 6 players (counting up our Man City and Arsenal contingent). “We could play our Wildcard”? I’d like to say that cropped up in conversation. It didn’t. Truth be told, playing a wildcard into a blank just doesn’t feel like the smart play. A -4 will get us to an 11 (on paper) and we can then choose from a full complement of players in just a few days’ time. And trust me, it will be happening because I’m going to press the button myself no sooner has GW12 begun (team, you have been warned!). So, what did we decide to do?

In the end, the conversation was short, concise and pain-free. Following his return to form, Mo Salah suddenly looks to be the best captain option. We don’t own him, so he’s coming in. KDB makes way for all the reasons I’m sure you don’t need me to spell out.

That leaves us two players down. Maddison and Jesus were the obvious ones to make way (given the value we have built up in Cancelo and Martinelli). That gave us a budget of £17.6m. We decided very quickly that Harry Kane was the safest bet up front, and once that decision had been made we were left to decide who the heck we could buy for £6.2m. “Let’s go for Trossard” (or words to that effect) – clearly this particular Site team ‘member’ is still living in the ’80s, the halcyon days when a 10p mixup was a genuine treat, you could buy a chocolate bar for 20p and Jim would still fix it and that was still ok. I digress. In the end, we went for Eberechi Eze. Good fixture, decent form, and if it all goes Pete Tong, it’s only for one week. Did we mention we’re playing our Wildcard next week?

To confirm then we have SOLD KDB, Maddison and Jesus and BOUGHT Salah, Kane and a Wham Bar

Captain – Salah, who else?

Predicted Line-ups and FPL Team News

Rather than clutter the site up on deadline eve with too many articles we have tagged our predicted line-ups on here.

As a quick reminder –

There are two versions of this article.

The one below has a drop-down version. It’s fairly idiot proof – you simply click on the small arrow to the right of the team name and you get a drop-down list of all the teams. Simply click on the one you want to see and hey presto, etc. This is the published article with the comments section to crack on with.

The other one is permanently live and has the ‘nicer’ grid layout. If you want to see that version you can click here. This can also be easily accessed at any time via a myriad of links on our homepage – Header link, Hot Topics link, Quick Access link on mobile and it is also linked towards the end of all of our regular articles.

What you see below is a live link to what Drafthound have on their website. Why is that significant? Well, firstly, it now means that the second they make any updates in reaction to live team news then they will also appear on here. Being uber helpful in that respect they also time-stamp all of their line-ups so you can tell to the minute when it was last updated.

As an additional extra if you click on any player icon on the team line-up that will take you to their own page on Drafthound, from where you can see up to date season stats, their upcoming fixture schedule and use a comparison tool to view similar players.

Given their time and effort in providing this content for us it would be rude not to occasionally click on the Drafthound link and check out their own fabulous content as there are FPL articles aplenty on there too.

You can access our live feed to these here.
