Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW20

Things could be worse!

Our GW19 Result…

We closed out the festive fixtures with a score of 51pts, and whilst this was 2pts above the average (49pts) we still ended the festivities on a red arrow from 630,892 down to 731,084. Green arrows in game weeks 17 and 18 saw us reach the heady heights of 630k but as far as our rank is concerned we ended up with a lower rank than the one we sat on prior to GW17. At this stage of the season, we’ll certainly not be losing any sleep over our current ranking, especially with a full complement of chips, a glut of double-game weeks on the horizon and our generally positive demeanour!

Our GW18 transfer of James to Shaw paid off handsomely with the Red Devil’s full-back scoring only his third-ever Premier League goal, coupled with the clean sheet and maximum bonus those 15pts were huge and without him we’d have seen our rank absolutely tank, so thanks, Luke! We got off lightly with Mitrovic’s yellow card following captain Haaland’s blank. Elsewhere it was blanks for Cancelo (more on him later), Darwin (and him), Salah and Nketiah, with only Trippier’s 8pts (once more doing what he does best – clean sheets and bonus), Rashford’s 8pts and Andreas (5pts) saving our blushes. Let’s move on shall we?

We have £2.0m in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of GW20. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW20 Transfer(s)

As double game week fever hit the FPL community we quickly took stock and we find ourselves in something of a predicament. Doubles for both Manchester clubs, Spurs and Crystal Palace and we find ourselves with 4 ‘doublers’ (though one of those is the seemingly dead FPL asset that is Cancelo), a red flagged Paterson and Yellow flagged Darwin. With 2FT’s and a decent bit of coin things could be worse, but our options are somewhat dictated by those dreaded flags. The key players we are missing are KDB and Kane, but sadly without a hit we cannot rectify both those issues. A quick poll and a -4 (that involved losing both Salah and Cancelo) was quickly ruled out. Darwin’s yellow flag and the uncertainty that surrounds his availability, coupled with the fact he can’t hit a barn door meant he was deemed our fall guy to facilitate another doubler. With Kane the obvious replacement we were still £0.7m short. Cancelo seems to be top of Pep’s sh!t list and we simply cannot tolerate any more of his 1-point cameos so he seems the best place to provide the Kane shortfall cash. Keeping investment in City’s backline seems prudent given their upcoming double both this week and GW23, and whilst we may find ourselves in Pep rotation hell, at least it won’t be to the tune of £7.3m. Stones has fitness issues so we’re going with Ake and hope he makes the cut (twice!).

To confirm then we have SOLD Cancelo and Darwin and BOUGHT Ake and Kane

Captain – Haaland. We took a vote and decided to save our Triple captain chip for another day!

Predicted Line-ups and FPL Team News

Rather than clutter the site up on deadline eve with too many articles we have tagged our predicted line-ups on here.

As a quick reminder –

There are two versions of this article.

The one below has a drop-down version. It’s fairly idiot proof – you simply click on the small arrow to the right of the team name and you get a drop-down list of all the teams. Simply click on the one you want to see and hey presto, etc. This is the published article with the comments section to crack on with.

The other one is permanently live and has the ‘nicer’ grid layout. If you want to see that version you can click here. This can also be easily accessed at any time via a myriad of links on our homepage – Header link, Hot Topics link, Quick Access link on mobile and it is also linked towards the end of all of our regular articles.

What you see below is a live link to what Drafthound have on their website. Why is that significant? Well, firstly, it now means that the second they make any updates in reaction to live team news then they will also appear on here. Being uber helpful in that respect they also time-stamp all of their line-ups so you can tell to the minute when it was last updated.

As an additional extra if you click on any player icon on the team line-up that will take you to their own page on Drafthound, from where you can see up to date season stats, their upcoming fixture schedule and use a comparison tool to view similar players.

Given their time and effort in providing this content for us it would be rude not to occasionally click on the Drafthound link and check out their own fabulous content as there are FPL articles aplenty on there too.

You can access our live feed to these here.

Which option? Your opinion please. Its very much similar to Site team. Any plan for Site team also to go for option 3?
    (1) Sell Cancelö and get Ake for (-4)
    (2) Sell Salah and get KDB for (-4)
    (3) Do both for (-8)
    (4) Do nothing

      I would keep Salah.
      Cancelo > Ake or Shaw

      GoalMachine says:

My team is as below – now you can suggest.
      Kepa
      Trip, Shaw, Cancelo
      Salah, Rashford, Martinelli, Almiron
      Haaland(C), Kane, Mitro
      Bench: Ward, Andreas, White, Patterson

      • Terminators says:

I have basically the same team, I did Cancelo to Shaw. over two games I don’t think swapping Cancelo to another City player is worth the hit, nobody knows who Pep’s going to play, if you didn’t have the defenders you have it would be a no brainer.
The only other thing I can suggest is Andreas > Mahrez and Cancelo to whoever you can afford then play Mahrez and bench Mitro, we would both have the same team other than Patterson.

        • GoalMachine says:

Thanks. Finally sold Salah and got KDB (not sure if thats a right decision). Andreas to Mahrez was a good option, but then Cancelo to a cheap def. could not afford (I mean it was probably Bueno or Rico etc.). With Patterson to be fixed before GW25, I believe transfers are costly. So Cancelo stays and likely to give another 1 pointer.

      • Watch tomorrow DGW21 for pool announced. And, that is expected.

    A or B guys,

    A) Salah & Mitro > Kane & Gakpo/Mitoma/ Someone else maybe a suggestion?

    B) De Bruyne & Mitro > Kane & Mahrez/ Foden?

    Terminators says:

Did -4 to do Andreas > Mahrez and Cancelo > Shaw.
But is Rashford worth a TC??
