Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 35

That turned out nicely! Like many we attacked DGW34, played our Bench Boost chip and ended up with 173pts, which is by far our highest weekly score of the season and has rocketed us up to a rank of 110,894. Still not where we’d like to be, but bearing in mind seven game-weeks ago we were languishing in an embarrassing 900k place, we’ve done ok and had a great run. Let’s hope we can finish off the job and keep rising.
So how was our week. Well, where do we start? Let’s get Liverpool out of the way! Having been Klopped by rotation in their first match of the week, our boys Coutinho and particularly Sakho came up trumps vs Everton with a goal each and a clean sheet for Sakho. Two clean sheets were ordered for United and DDG and they duly delivered, while we were pleasantly surprised by Darlow keeping a cleanie vs Swansea and then holding City to just a single goal. As expected Ward did little, while Simpson and Leicester finally let us down, conceding two to the Hammers with Mahrez contributing nothing either. Gabriel was another disappointment, but was always a risk, while young Lanzini, well, I think we’re still waiting for him to start the DGW!!! And then onto our strikers, our lovely, lovely strikers, all of which did us proud. Aguero the highlight, as ever, with just the four goals in his two games; Rashford started well vs Villa and notched us 10pts for the week and good ol’ Andy Carroll – 15pts for the week. Last but not least, Captain Alexis carried on his great recent form with a goal vs Palace and then bettered it with a first half brace vs West Brom, justifying our faith in giving him the armband.

Transfer decision for GW35 – Sold Philippe Coutinho and Andy Carroll and bought Dele Alli and Harry Kane
Would you believe, the committee were agreed on the hit to bring back Kane and Alli? It’s true. To be honest our aim was always to buy Kane back, hence the one week punt on Andy Carroll – it was more of a case of how we would finance him. Having seen Kane and Alli destroy Stoke and Klopp’s rotation at Bournemouth, the answer pretty much fell into our laps. All very simple, we wanted guaranteed starters and we wanted players who are still playing for something – Spurs clearly have the bit between their teeth as they try and hunt down the Foxes and West Brom at home on a Monday night will hopefully provide the pair with an immediate chance to recoup the 4pt hit and some.

Captain – Harry Kane
Now the committee weren’t agreed on this one!! How one confidently chooses between Kun and Kane this week, we don’t know. We were split 3-2, with let’s face it, both players being great looking options this week. Kane takes it by virtue of West Brom’s dire showing on Thursday night at Arsenal. Had Arsenal had a decent striker out there and a desire to go for the jugula, as Spurs often do, then that one could and should have been even more embarrasing. The decision was also helped by our suspicion that whilst Aguero should do well against Stoke, he’s unlikely to see much beyond 60 minutes of action with the small matter of Real Madrid looming in midweek.

Our Vice-captain is Sergio Aguero

Good luck for this week from the FF247 Team Committee.

So I brought in Kane and Townsend for Origi and KDB. Didn’t have enough cash for Ali. Took a -4 hit to do it.

Still deciding Kane v Kun cappo choice but other than that, good to go?

Just saw this on Twitter; The Baggies have lost just once in their last five Premier League visits to White Hart Lane (W1 D3 L1)
