Welcome to FPL is live 2020/21
It’s time to set your team up, re-join leagues and get tinkering! Although it’s worth noting that the actual Premier League fixtures are still to be released and likely won’t be until after the Champions League and Europa League have completed.
For FPL the biggest change appears to be the deadline changing to 90mins before kick-off – seemingly in an attempt to combat those annoying and often false team leaks.
The Chips have remained the same as has the budget of 100mln.
The biggest changes seem to have come in player prices and in some cases, classification. Some of the more obvious changes at first glance are:
Players now classed as midfielders:
Aubameyang (Arsenal) – price 12.0mln
Greenwood (Man Utd) – price 7.5mln
Rashford (Man Utd) – price 9.5mln
Lundstram (Sheff Utd) – price 5.5mln
Players now classed as forwards:
Richarlison (Everton) – price 8.0mln
Martial (Man Utd) – price 9.0mln
Antonio (West Ham) – price 6.5mln
New players:
Midfielders:
Ziyech (Chelsea) – price 8.0mln
Forwards:
Werner (Chelsea) – price 9.5mln

I still don’t get why Firmino is still priced at 9.5M.
I think you’re right. Superb player but fantasy-wise I thought that would be reviewed and dropped off the back of his lowest scoring season.

I agree that he’s over priced. However, I’m not surprised that his price hasn’t dropped.

Wow! Didnt see most of these position changes! Can’t get my head around why PEA is a classed as midfielder but I will take it! More points 😉
It’s because he basically plays in the Salah / Mane / Sterling position, more often than not. He’s slightly different in that he does get games up top more than they do, but I get it (the decision).

Yeah, we’ll see. I think he’s been playing fantastically well since coming in for Leno… Looks like Leno is back from injury tho, and Martinez is waiting to talk to Arteta to see if he wants to stay at Arsenal or move.
We will see in community shield on that one at least

Good to be back in business again everyone. Hope all are well and came through this years chaos ok.
Interesting changes in positions for some players and price hikes to match last weeks flights back from France.
Spoilt for choice in midfield this year by the looks of it. working on 1st Draft now.. not that ive been counting down the days or anything.
The fixtures deadline is 21/08, so not long to wait to do some ‘proper’ drafting :drinks: .

The Leeds defenders at that price didn’t play much at all last season :no: :
Douglas 648 mins (15 games, 6 starts)
Struijk 218 mins (5 games, 2 starts)
Davis 14 mins (3 games, 0 starts)
Casey 6 mins (1 game, 0 starts)
Leeds’ other defenders are 4.5m.
With Ben White (their main defender) back at Brighton, maybe Douglas is worth keeping an eye on.
I think Nathan Ferguson at Crystal Palace has been bought to play.
Branthwaite at Everton too maybe. Keep him in mind.
Douglas is someone I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on as he also takes set pieces if he plays.
Supposedly Struijk will start at CB if they don’t get a replacement for White so another one to keep an eye on.
As GP says though Ferguson is the one I’m most sure of getting a start.
Ben Johnson at West Ham could get minutes but I’m not sure on that one.
