Welcome to FPL is live 2020/21
It’s time to set your team up, re-join leagues and get tinkering! Although it’s worth noting that the actual Premier League fixtures are still to be released and likely won’t be until after the Champions League and Europa League have completed.
For FPL the biggest change appears to be the deadline changing to 90mins before kick-off – seemingly in an attempt to combat those annoying and often false team leaks.
The Chips have remained the same as has the budget of 100mln.
The biggest changes seem to have come in player prices and in some cases, classification. Some of the more obvious changes at first glance are:
Players now classed as midfielders:
Aubameyang (Arsenal) – price 12.0mln
Greenwood (Man Utd) – price 7.5mln
Rashford (Man Utd) – price 9.5mln
Lundstram (Sheff Utd) – price 5.5mln
Players now classed as forwards:
Richarlison (Everton) – price 8.0mln
Martial (Man Utd) – price 9.0mln
Antonio (West Ham) – price 6.5mln
New players:
Midfielders:
Ziyech (Chelsea) – price 8.0mln
Forwards:
Werner (Chelsea) – price 9.5mln

Is Vinagre 100% nailed on as LB for 6 months? I see him in so many teams.
Saiss can play LB in back 4 / Bennett or Neto in left wing-back position in a back 3 – are not these options?

He’s also a decent player
Yes, he is as attacking as Otto, but not that great defensively. I am just thinking that perhaps Wolves will get a new LB as they don’t have anyone else in their squad. Jonny Otto will only be back in 6 months – thats a long time.
I think it’s more likely they sign cover rather than utilise anyone else they currently have. If they don’t sign anyone – and even if they do – he could be a great option.
Can’t see them even doing that
Perhaps Vinagre as LB is the best option as of now for Wolves. As a backup, they can play Dendonker as RB and Doherty as a LB to give a rest to Vinagre.
They ain’t in Europe this year either so I don’t see much rotation at all
shame they not in europe anymore, would have like to see a bit more on him
You have to keep in mind the season they’ve just come through as well though Smash.
Do y’all think he’s a better choice than Doherty? If so, ‘twould leave a bit more cash to use elsewhere I guess!

One of the few players overpriced
think he might be a little bit expensive, will have to wait and see on this. his goals scored is exaggerated by the few pens he took at the end of the season. someone has to feed aubemeyang though, so one to watch i think
Any idea when fixtures will be released? Feels kinda stupid to make a team without knowing fixtures, even though I already find myself tinkering :dash:

What formation are you all going to start with? 4-4-2 / 3-5-2 / 4-5-1?
..and 3-4-3?
Think I’ve decided to go 3-5-2 ideally. Failing that 4-5-1 if budget is not quite there. That really does look bizarre on paper
maybe 4-4-2, hard to fit all those mids in, may need to use a budget defence and play them
G’day to you all and welcome back to this most exciting and optimistic part of the season (ie. before GW 1, after which we all screech back into the black-holes of envy, despair & the multitude of regrets at not having discovered THE secret formula, as many seemingly millions of FPL players have indeed done!). I’m feeling so good at having unearthed this lot of CERTAINTIES that I’m happy to share it with you all! Please don’t hesitate to shoot it down in flames (‘Getting a bit over dramatic there Ginger, aren’t we? It’s not the annual village Panto, is it?’).
I have been determined to take a bit of Horse’s strategic advice, a smidgeon of Kraline’s good sense, and bit of my own undying positivity!

There’s a lot better than Lundstram. Three 4 million defenders might be a bit much even for me. Not sure what Mctominay is doing in there. Rest all looks decent to me
Casilla isn’t the Leeds keeper. Meslier is.
Moore may eventually even be third choice at Sheffield United now. They’re in for Ramsdale.
Lundstram and McTominay aren’t my cup of tea this year AJW.

Dear Smash and GP – thanks guys, your advice is key to keeping me on an even keel (lot of words beginning with K in that sentence!). Back to the drawing board! What about Bamford up front? Didn’t he have a cyclonic end of season? (I.e. Many goals to help Leeds get promoted)? Anyway thanks again lads.
