With deadlines between GW’s almost running into each other this somewhat randomly placed and sprawling midweek fixture list always feels like it is simply placed here as a training vehicle ahead of what is about to come over Christmas.
With GW13 having only finished late on Sunday evening we are back at it already on Tuesday and this one goes through to Thursday night and then GW15 kicks off on Saturday. It’s a 2-6-2 split with Wednesday doing the heavy carrying.
Just the two on Tuesday then and we begin with a relegation 6-pointer as the worlds richest club (Newcastle) go head to head with the world yo-yo champions (Norwich) at 7.30pm. If that one hasn’t put you to sleep then Amazon are obviously hoping that you will then switch over to see the 2nd half of Leeds v Palace as they are stategically placed to kick off 45mins later at 8.15pm.
The oh-so-clever ploy continues on Wednesday with Saints/Leicester, Watford/Chelsea, West Ham/Brighton & Wolves/Burnley all in the early slot before you are forced to turn over to watch either Villa vs Man City or the Merseyside Massacre Derby.
We may have spotted the flaw in their plan on Thursday though… good luck getting either Spurs or Arsenal fans to tune in early or switch over later to watch their rivals as the former face Brentford and the latter go to Old Trafford. The rest of us will though, probably just for a laugh.

Kane has to rank as the worst premium striker in fpl history. He is basically a 5m worth defensive midfielder at par with kante, fabinho and hojberg.
Cant believe i fell in this trap thinking his 7 goals vs san Marino and Albania will give him confidence again. He looks completely lost.
Unbelievable, out of three Spurs players just Reg was rewarding with a an assist, CS and 3 BPs.

I saved a transfer instead of doing the obvious kane to cr7 transfer. One of the worst decisions all season.
Was never ever a penalty though.

I’m now kicking myself for doing Cr7>Vardy as my transfer last week.
It was a blatant penalty and there was nothing obvious about doing Kane to Ronaldo this gw !

That was just part of his theatrical shenanigans, I am not fully fit but still can score a brace
The guy is an old man in football terms so needs to conserve his energy. Did that today in spades and popped in 2. What more can you ask for in FPL, given the flakey performances elswhere? Premium strikers? Where are they? With Ronnies fixtures he could be one, but where are the other 1 or 2?
So my plan was Hwang to Dennis this week and Son & Wilson to Fornals and CR7 in GW16 but thanks Dennis and Ronaldo’s heroics I am pretty sure I will be priced out. Those transfers will leave me with 0 ITB at current prices.
What’s your advice (2 FTs, 0.2 M)?
PS: Btw as I predicted – Reguilon to Alonso was an absolute shocker of a transfer. I just have a gift for those…
Unlucky there but I feel Alonso is definitely the better medium-long term option
Would you be open to take a hit for Son >> Bernardo Silva, Antonio >> CR7 and Wilson >> Dennis?
I know Son and Wilson have good fixtures this week but their overall there’s every chance the hit will repay itself this week
Wilson was a saviour in this week for me. I’m thinking an obvious Kane to Ronaldo this week. But I could also do Gallagher or Luis to Odegaard or Smith-Rowe. Thoughts?
