  1. Interesting:

“Brentford have offered Christian Eriksen a six-month contract with the option of a further year.”

  2. Found this for planning.

    • Simple & effective.
      I like simple smile

    • Thanks Smash, wish I’d seen this before the deadline smile – oh well, hopefully this week’ll end well enough anyway

      • A question. Is it clear (and obvious :-)) that the bgws (27, 30, 33) are better FH options than dgw36? I’m trying to understand the logic-is it because it’s assumed bgws will blank top teams?
And why hold the WC so late? BB seems like a dodgy bet, most of the time?

        • I don’t see that 33 has to be a bgw. Midweek 33 is available for the FA cup cancellations.
FH27 depends on your team. I’m unlikely to have any Chelsea, Arsenal or Leicester so may just bench Salah & co.
GW30 almost demands FH. I’ve tried using transfers into that week in previous years and wildcarding out but lost too many points.
WC31 after the IB I imagine will be popular

        • p.s. I agree BB is pretty ineffective. I may play it 32 after WC31 whatever the fixtures.
I already played TC on Bowen last week.

        • For me the best teams are the ones that have the blanks. They are the players we have in our teams. Therefore a FH when they have blanks works as I’ll want them back in most of the weeks. WC is different play it when you need it. Foster is cheap anyway which helps for BB. I will likely WC once it settles down and go from there with full set of players snd play BB for big double

        • @Smash -> well said

    • There’s going to be a lot of hits taken over the weeks ahead! wacko

    • I think I would prefer to build something passable for BGW30 and then WC31 with future doubles in mind. Saving the FH for a double as well.

      • Not for me that strategy you suffer in all the other weeks building. Then end up wildcarding the Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs players back in anyway

  3. The D in DGW has lost its meaning!!

    | BREAKING NEWS

Burnley have requested that their Gameweek 22 match against Watford on Tuesday be postponed. The Premier League Board will meet later today to review the application.

    • Burnley obviously reckon that they can’t be relegated if they don’t play all their games!!

      • Brilliant play! Someone has done their kindergartners playbook research

    • Deffo sounds like a plan laugh

“Arsenal vs Burnley might be postponed as well”

      • This is getting ridiculous ⬇️

NEW: Arsenal are still uncertain if they will be able to fulfil their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool on Thursday.

    • Getting ridiculous . Hope it’s rejected and they are forced to play they haven’t played since mid December I think

      • It won’t get rejected.

Leeds have put a lot of teams to shame when you consider their squad for yesterdays game.

        • I listened to a really interesting pod this morning which explained the rules on the postponements and how clubs like Arsenal are able to exploit them and Leeds have basically shot themselves in the foot by playing kids earlier in the season. Its called “Above average Fpl” if anybody is interested. Its on Spotify.

        • It could do if they have any sense but I doubt it.. Chelsea had theirs rejected twice amd had more Covid cases than Burnley. Only difference is the squad is massive . League needs to be rejecting them all now it’s not even Covid related. Burnley with their full squad of 16 have about 5 players missing through injury

      • Ridiculous is the word indeed. What a bore this has become – and yet again the fans are left hanging until the bitter end before a decision is taken.

    • Either way just make a bloody decision for the sake of the fans. Especially the Watford ones, it’s not as if Burnley is just around the corner.

      • Confirmed

        • See, that’s the sort of power I yield when I get annoyed rofl

        • Well, you should be
          #DennisCapo laugh

        • The sad thing is that I’m not even bothered by that bit. And that’s hopefully not a reflection on me, more just the state that this has all become right now.

I’ll crack on and play but we are at the stage where you can’t even make a transfer without wondering whether they will actually have a game to play in.

  4. Not sure 8f this is good or bad news
Especially considering most of our VC’s have performed well

  5. Just trying to plan ahead a bit, any advice here? I’ll obviously wait as late as possible to make moves, for this GW I’m thinking of a -4 for Moura >> KDB and ESR >> Gordon, and next GW Maddison >> Coutinho

    • KDB would be my captain for the next 3 GWs, and then I’d switch him to Salah

      • What if Salah comes back early (if Egypt is eliminated). Do you still want to go Salah less for 1-2 GWs?

        • KDB has Brentford and Norwich in GW 24 and 25 so I think there’s a pretty good chance he’ll at least match Salah’s points

    • I’m vaguely planning to have both but we’ll see how it goes. Your plan seems fine but as we all know, going without Salah is very risky.

  6. This season, DGWs are really frustrating…….now onwards I will assume all GWs are SGW only.

    • I don’t even think you can assume that unfortunately!

    • I disagree. Think it settles down after this weekend. Dec amd Jan always worst months, AFCON is over snd the teams have the winter break. I think it will all become a lot clearer and less games will get called off. Loads of doubles to go
