Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 28

It’s Blank Gameweek time. Just seven fixtures this week with Brighton, Fulham, Liverpool, the Manchesters – United and City & West Ham United all ducking out of PL action due to it being FA Cup Quarter Final weekend.

We begin on Friday at 8pm when it is the Trent-Tyne derby (not a thing, but I like the sound of it) as Forest host Newcastle to get us underway.

Saturday offers 5 matches – four of which get going at 3pm. Aston Villa v Bournemouth is the alphabetical first choice, then we see action at the G-Tech as Brentford play Leicester, Southampton hope to keep out Spurs (or more specifically Harry Kane) and it’s Wolves v Leeds at Molineux.

Chelsea look to keep their recent run of good form going by taking the bins out against Everton at half five.

Sunday’s solitary fixture – and the last of the gameweek – is a London derby as leaders Arsenal roll out the red carpet to their midfield legend Patrick Vieira (and his Crystal Palace boys).

A bit dull but that what is expected from a BGW. The most important thing is that Toney avoided booking so he will play at least the first game in 29, unless of course his long ban comes before that.

I transferred Haaland out for Watkins this week for obvious reasons. Question for you all… Would you use your only transfer to bring him back or save it? Let Watkins play out his DGW and worry about Haaland in GW 30? A penny for your thoughts.

Hey ODT, I am in the same boat as you!

So the main question is what’s the rest of your team like? And are you going to BB? I am currently on 10 DGW players with Ward off number 1 spot? And I have Saliba who could be out for a few games. So I am likely to swap 1 of them to a extra play and get Haaland in from 30 onwards.

Watkins has scored in his last 4 way games and city was one of them.

If you think haaland will score 2+ against pool bring him back now, if not stick imo

I’d get Haaland back asap. Hes scoring for fun and our defence ain’t at the races. He could be a good cappo prospect even with only 1 game.

With 3.3 ITB and 1 FT the easiest way for me is Kane but he has two home games in 30 and 31 against Brighton and Bournemouth. That means I still have to take a hit to replace Saka with Bruno or Gabriel with Shaw wacko

Bench boost in 29? I’ve bumbled into Raya plus the usual three Arsenal assets for a bench (single game, home to Leeds). Is this lot good enough to boost?

I know dgw29 is a long way off!!
considering bringing Haaland back, but would be for Toney.
After Saka haul today, bringing him back, but would also like Bruno in as Man Utd have a dgw.
But it means -8 and ruining my wildcard, but needs must I suppose.
But if I bring Haaland in for Toney, I only have 1.1m ITB (at the moment) – not worth doing changes just yet because of international break. Worth ditch Maddison for Bruno, and Martinelli for Saka if I went -8?

Hey HF, dunno if I would change round my Arsenal players if I were you. I’ve got both and am selling Marto to get one of the BHU mids back in (had March till last GW, now can go him or MacAllister). Am also considering perhaps a -4 to get Haaland back in for either Kane or Toney or Watto!
Ah well, we’ve got a long while to reflect on things, so let’s just sit on those hands, shall we? Hope all is fine with you matie. Speak to you soon! 😉

You say dont change Arsenal players, but yet you are getting rid of Marto…lol. Saka could do me damage by not having him against Leeds. Alternative is ditch Gabriel for Shaw.
I have enough for Haaland if I do the Shaw switch but would be a -4 for Toney.
His ban is due soon, and if he gets booked in the first game is a potential risk as well.
All good with me thanks bud, hope all well with you good

What punishment does Mitro get for that red card hitting the ref?
