Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 4

And we go again with yet another Friday night deadline. This time it is Luton’s Kenilworth Road making its Premier League debut, with West Ham the victors visitors.

We have an early game on Saturday with new-look Everton (they have an actual centre-forward for the 1st time in about 2 years!) going to Sheffield United at 12.30pm.

Four games at 3pm this week for Simon and the gang with Brentford v Bournemouth, Spurs at Burnley, Chelsea hosting Forest and Man City hammering Fulham.

The late one at 5.30pm promises to be a cracker as Brighton welcome Newcastle.

Three games on Sunday to see us out with a pair at 2pm as Palace host Wolves and Villa go to Liverpool. Arsenal and Man United then see us out at 4-30pm.

Don’t forget that that is then it for a couple of weeks as we enter the International Break.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 4 from all at FF247!

Any tips as to what to do next for my team.
I just did Pedro –> Alverez
I am finding it hard to bring in Maddison which I really do want – just don’t know who to get rid of.

Out of that team, I’d want to lose Turner, Rich, Pedro and one of the MNUs, probably Bruno. So not a WC yet but weekly tweaks

    Hi guys,
despite having a great looking team on paper that I mulled over for weeks before the season started, I’ve got some serious underperformers and losing ground in my ML’s hard!
So ….if Wildcarding, who are the must haves??
I’ve currently switched Martinelli/Jackson/Eze/Watkins to Son/Edouard/Mbuemo/Jesus ….right moves? I’m left a little light in defence though ….should I take Maddison instead of Son to upgrade elsewhere?
    Cheers

I like those moves, but see what happens with the international break first. Gusto’s time might be up if James is declared fit again by the time we get to GW5 (so keep an eye out for that).

      • RedKev says:

Cheers Atlas, yeah Gusto is my main concern…could switch Gvaradiol/Gusto to a couple of 4.5’s but none seem to excite me and the odd decent one has risen in price. Madds instead of Son could sort that but don’t know it’s worth it if one’s stuck on bench each week anyway!?

Jesus Edouard gusto gvardiol are all risky rotation prone picks. Think jesus is still being eased in but if u think he will be starting regularly, he could be a proper differential. I am wary of cry palace attackers.. they just don’t score enough as a team. Perhaps udogie as a defender in a WC who is more secure.

      Stone Frog says:

I would probably change Onana to a 4.5 to free up some cash. I wouldn’t be against Maddison and Son. Feel Gvardiol, Gusto and Baldock is a risky combination. Maybe look at some cheap attacker def like Udogie, Cash, etc. Not sure on Edouard either, may be somone like Awoniyi?

Cheers everyone, thoughts taken on board and agree with the risky picks!
How about Edouard/Gusto/Gvardiol to Archer/Udogie/Cash or Saliba and just sit Archer on the bench?

      • RedKev says:

How about this? Benching headaches I know but gives me options and price rises and can always trim down later. Too much cash with all these good cheap players!!

    Hello everyone,
Like many others here I’ve decided to play my wildcard, this is how the team’s looking right now. I’ll play 3-4-3 with Boly or Cash benched depending on fixtures (though this week I’ll probably play both and bench Estupinan)

    Any changes I should make?

Pretty solid! Would Leno to Areola get you another playing defender for your bench?

      • Veer says:

Yes it would, but it would be a rotation risk like Gusto or Andersen of Luton. I feel Leno is a better pick to rotate with Turner than Areola, so I don’t think it’s worth it to upgrade my 3rd bench player. I also think Lamptey will get a lot more minutes now he’s coming back to fitness

      • Veer says:

I just realised Nakamba is 4.4 so I could switch Sarr to him and do Lamptey >> Andersen with the extra 0.1.
I also noticed you have Burn, I might get him instead of Boly. Even though Newcastle have lost 3 straight they have good fixtures coming up
