FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 9
Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 9
(Proper) football is back and we’ve reached Gameweek 9 which once completed will be exactly one-quarter of the way through the season, but seeing as we lost a lot of football for non-football reasons, technically it isn’t… that said, they probably won’t add any additional game weeks so let’s just stick with it!
The games!
The North London Derby (Arsenal v Tottenham) kicks off the weekend with a bang! A match which usually has lots of goals will be followed at 3 pm by games at Bournemouth, who host Brentford and another London derby over in Croydon (Selhurst Park) where Crystal Palace host Chelsea. Also at 3 pm, Fulham play Newcastle on the banks of the Thames, Liverpool at Anfield will be Roberto de Zerbi’s first match as new Brighton boss, and finally, Southampton host Everton at St Mary’s. Nothing but geographical facts.
West Ham United v Wolves at the London Stadium is the 5.30 pm match.
Sunday at 2 pm and it is time for the Manchester showdown at the Etihad followed by Leeds v Aston Villa at 4.30 pm.
On a weekend of derbies, Monday evening hosts the East Midlands one at the KP where Leicester and Forest get it on!

Lads, how are we all? I ended the week with a respectable 74 after rolling my transfer. Looking at the two players I might need to move on. One with a red is a must and is mitro hurt? Contemplating doubling down on Leicester with their hot fixtures and form. What do you think of this as a double transfer? 0.5m itb, 2 ft.
Yeah. I like it, but only if Mitro is confirmed out for 2 GWs. If it’s 1 or less I dunno about. But definitely Sinisterra to Maddie is a good idea.
Oops in reply to 43!
I guess if you need the cash of a Mitro downgrade, then do it!
Thanks matey!!!!!
No worries! đ
1FT 1.0m WC still inactive
Thinking of Diaz – Maddison
Save WC for GW13 or play?
Thanks
Yeah looks good, Pools fixtures are Arsenal & City in the next 2 who are in much better form. Leicesters fixtures look good
Any ideas what to do here. Still annoyed I went for zaha last minute over maddison but hopefully zaha starts to haul. Really think I should get maddison in but then should my strategy be to get rid of arsenal/man city players really ahead of gw12 and then WC gw13? Still have 5 from ars/MCI. Saying that I’m tempted with diaz to maddison. Could do saliba out but I’m going through lose value if I get him back WC. What’s everyone’s thoughts? Or maybe I could take a hit and sell ederson and then do Gordon to maddison?
Hey Mr Majelka,
I don’t know what I’d do – maybe Diaz out for Maddie. I would like to see if there’s gonna be a Liverpool resurgence this week though. It’s difficult, but yeah Maddison does seem hell-bent on proving his worth at Leicester and among the England candidates. Go for it! But do not sell Zaha! Cheers, đ
Oops, reply to 46!
By the way, was thinking about the following punt (it’s a minus 4 btw! ):
Taking Cancelo + Dasilva out for Mings (at an incredibly unbeatable 4.3 price!!!) + Phoden, giving me the rather attack-slanted following team:
Whaddaya reckon????? I’m half tempted! It means I’ll have a glut of CIty attackers, and an in form Mings (who’s hungry and looking for blood!)
Bye for now đ
Then just trade out Martinelli in GW 12 for Trossard (against the rather inviting Nottingham Forest at home!!!! Already licking my chops at that one!)
Tarn it! Just listened to the Scoutcast pod and they suggested the same moves as I just announced above! Thought I was being original and I was just in the spirit of the age!
Except for Mings of course!
