Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!
To help you decide or just confuse you a bit more, we have asked 3 of our writers to pass judgment on what players you would do well to pick up and what players are better left out of the fray. We hope this is a simple straightforward formula that can assist you in your decision making as we ride out this International Break. We avoided including players like Siggy, Sterling, Ramsey or Costa as there is really no point. There seems to be overwhelming consensus on these cats.
Grab – You need this player on your squad. On the Def/Keeper categories if they select Grab, they will give us a name or two from said team. For example…
Grab-De Gea
Avoid – It’s a trap don’t get suckered in.
Bore off – If you have him play him, if you don’t have him don’t bother getting him. Really not worth the extra effort.
Afternoon,
I’ve decided this week to save my transfer (with the help of you guys). So for GW 5 I’ll have 2 transfers. Should I:
1) Jovetic >> Aguero, Rooney >> Niasmith, Fabregas >> Di Maria (4pt hit)
or
2) Jovetic >> Falcao, Rooney >> Welbeck?
I’ll see how all the players involved perform in GW 4 before doing anything. Main concern is third transfer in option 1. Is it worth getting rid of Fabregas for Manu coverage during their good fixtures? Also, Di Maria was involved in all 4 goals for Argentina vs Germany. And also concerned about lack of Man City coverage (Aguero) in option 2 😉
Here’s my team guys, thanks in advance!
I would just go Jovetic to Welbeck, keep Rooney for now and see how Falco goes.
Would you do that this GW or next? Because if i do that this week I don’t have enough cash to get aguero
Isnt Jovetic injured for now?
Monitor the situation, you might have to use a transfer on him this GW.
Thanks B. Who would you get for him?
Veer, as B says Jovetic has a hamstring problem, so wait till Fridays pressers, oh and sod gameweek 5, lets get through the internationals and gameweek 4 first.
For the rest of the season which combo is better?
1)Welbeck,Ramsey,fabregas
Or
2)Naismith,sanchez,hazard
I’d go for 1), but why limit yourself to sticking with the same players for the rest of the season? FPL is an ever-changing environment and it’s why why we have free transfers.
1 for sure. All 3 options are better than the ones in 2 imo
I have a feeling that combo 2 will start exploding very soon.
Agree, think Sanchez and Hazard could start smashing it. Welbeck over Naismith for sure though, so overall think option 1 is better, especially if you change Ramsey for Walcott when he’s back fit.
Look how much we are chopping and changing already though after just three GWs, so don’t get stuck in the mentality of looking for season keepers already.
Thats exactly what I was thinking, maybe it’s better to wait and see?
Anyone heard this song btw? Its a 12 minute track, I’ve listened to it 10 times today. Made Kendrick my favourite rapper.

Zzzzzzzzzzz
Veer, without listening, does he play no instruments and talk instead of sing ?
This international break is killing me!!!
Has anyone started considering who there captain will be this upcoming GW?
Mata
Liverpool and Man Utd have the stand out games on paper. Ergo Balotelli or Rooney/RvP/Falcao. None of whom I have in my WC team as of now! Hmmmm, rethink required possibly!
What about costa?
Defo if he’s fit……….
I think he will be fine for the weekend
Don’t think I can stomach a third Rooney (C) failure in a row!
Either Rooney or Sterling for me I guess. Probably Rooney…
Falcao.
Changed my mind, Sturridge.
Would you take a hit to replace aguero with Falcao or just hold fire?
Hold
+1
Definitely hold fire Mitro Falcao not guaranteed a start and regardless of Man utds team ‘on paper’ they’ve still not proven to have any form yet!!
Heres one for the purists :- Aside from goalkeepers, which two England captains since 1966 never scored for their country ?
a defender id imagine! hhmmmmm………..
Who is hhmmmmm………. ?
Terence butcher??
Nope.
by purists do you mean old?? 😉
No Pokey, more all those that do facts + figures all day, oh and usually boring. :big-lol:
Cant think of anyone like that Elle! 😉 im surprised ive even heard of him but what about Tony Adams??
Nope.
Ray Wilkins, Mick Mills?
Evening Cookie, Mills is one.
Evening Elle, Paul Ince the other?
Nope Cooks.
You are looking for a defender whose surname is a fruit.
Trevor Cherry
Bananaman
William of Orange
Bananaman it is. :big-lol:
Cherry is correct aswell.
